Futures are complex! This book makes it easy to understand some of the tricks of the trade in futures. I highly recommend this book to all futures and forex traders.
Chock Full of Useful Info!.......2005-11-16
I bought this book as a refresher to the comodities market,
after a decade chasing profits in the slower NASDAQ market.
Mr. Angell presents not only the basic info necessary to
understand the commodities market, but also more presents
his LSS daytrading system (which I won't use).
Each and every chapter ends with a list of the points one
should take from that particular chapter. My book has 15
pages bookmarked where information important to me is stored.
One can find more in-depth books on technical analysis,
options, and other topics in this book. But, Mr. Angell gives
the reader an excellent base upon which to build a comprehensive
trading education. From types of orders, technical analysis,
psychology, options and even a trading system, Mr. Angell
succeeds in introducing the novice trader into the world of
futures/commodities trading.
I read one of Mr. Angell's other books on "Sure-thing Options
Trading", early in my trading education, and I still use the
info. I can say the same of this book, after only a year.
This book is certainly worth the price.

His book opens the eyes of the average investor and let's it be known that futures are not one dimensional. You have multiple strategies and tools at your disposal to help you succeed. One of those tools is hedging. ... This is a must have book for the novice futures trader.
THE BEST PLACE FOR BEGINNERS TO START.......2000-07-08
I am in definite agreement that this book is about the best place for any newcomer to the commodities market. It states just what you need to do, how to organize a trading plan and much more. The end of chapter summary in point form is very helpful as a sort of quick reference.
As a Gann trader, I am pleased with the entire chapter that has been written about W.D. Gann method of trading, which is available in a very simple to understand format.
At the beginning of my career, I did a beginners "course" for about $200. I must admit that I had learnt much more in this book than that so called $200. money-making-machine course. Congratulations to the author and best wishes to the readers!

If you live in the greater Atlanta Area or are coming to visit for a while then this guide will serve you well. In the sprawling metropolitan area of Atlanta there are well over two thousand restaurants and Zagat has whittled these down to the best 722. I have used the guide often and found that it accurately scores each restaurant in three categories (food, decor, service). Perfection is "30". The Ritz-Carlton Dining Room, Buckhead scored 28food, 27decor, 28service . . . the highest score in Atlanta. Of course near perfection will cost you: $150-$200 for two, without wine.
What is new in this edition is that it has included more restaurants that were on the fringe of the Atlanta area. The guide has no maps to speak of and this is a serious short coming. The short description of the restaurants is often generalized and talks more about the location than the food, i.e. "Interesting cuisine, complimented by killer margaritas; the convenient strip-mall location and a great balcony overlooking the neighborhood.".
After 25 years Zagat has become a well known and respected guide for good restaurants, but it needs a fresh make-over, and, especially, Zagat needs maps to help you locate restaurants in sprawling metropolitan areas, like Atlanta. Still, strongly recommended.

Good overview of Atlanta's restaurants.......2000-04-14
Though this edition lacks several important restaurants that have opened since its publication, Lauterbach's book still provides the most solid, comprehensive review of the best (and worst) af Atlanta dining. Unlike Zagat's guides, this book provides in depth information about each restaurant's atmosphere, what to eat and when to go. I've come to completely trust its advice.

Despite the plain cover, the enthusiasm suggested in the title of this guide is not overstated. Atlanta has a surprising array of activities for tourists and business travelers, and resident travel writer Ann Carroll Burgess does a terrific job filling you in on where to go and why, as well as where to stay and eat. Atlanta is a city that has renewed itself many times--most recently spiffing itself up for the 1996 Olympics--and combines the best of the past and the present, with some controversy thrown in for good measure. Top attractions include the Margaret Mitchell House and Gone with the Wind Museum, Atlanta's major sports teams, CNN studio tours, the Martin Luther King, Jr. historic district, Zoo Atlanta, walking tours of historic neighborhoods, and a plethora of museums dedicated to the arts and history. Trees of Atlanta, a nonprofit group, has ensured that the city set within a forest stays green and that there are plenty of parks to enjoy. Burgess also fills you in on shopping spots, from vintage and consignment clothing to antiques and rarities (and, of course, malls). And when you're done, you can hit the spas for some pampering. After dark, the cultural capital of the South has plenty of bars, dance and jazz clubs, and performance arts, from ballet to theater. Burgess fills you in, month by month, on the city's special events and holiday celebrations, such as the Civil War Relic Show, King Week Celebration, and the best spots to ring in the new year. Beyond Atlanta, she also gives suggestions for day trips to such places as Six Flags over Georgia, an amusement park, and Stone Mountain, in which the faces of Jefferson Davis, Stonewall Jackson, and Robert E. I felt the organization of this book left much to be desired. The table of contents is a full six pages long - and you need it. The book sometimes organizes locations by region, sometimes not.
For a book that depends on the regions so much for it's organization, they are not well explained or mapped. There is a description of neighbourhoods about 40 pages into the book - but several neighborhoods (Ansley Park, Inman Park, etc.) are listed that are not included in the regional organization, so it is hard to determine which ones are important (at least for finding things in the book) and which ones are not.
I also found the restaurant section to be lacking in both the amount of text allocated to each restaurant as well as missing a huge host of good restaurants. Fodor's Cityguide Atlanta is head and shoulders above this book in that respect.

This a great book to pick and flip through when you're feeling down or need a quick injection of motivation in your day. I could also see using if you are a team leader or coach, to come up with motivational sayings to get the people under you fired up. It's packed with lots of ideas I'd never thought of and also many that I already knew but had forgotten. Well worth the money if you are in a field that requires you to be "up" on demand.

Benjamin Franklin had nothing on Sang H. Kim. Although Kim'slatest treasure is similar to Franklin's classic collection of maxims,"Poor Richard's Almanac", his suggestions are more applicable and poignant than 200-year-old recommendations for better living.
Kim's book is geared toward businessmen of today, but anyone can benefit from his sage advice. Kim divides the book into 15 chapters each directed towrd subjects such as "How to Motivate your Boss" and tricks to motivate change or productivity. Truly 1001 Ways is worth 1001 dollars... it's money well spent - something that would make old Ben proud.
