Immensely Readable.......2000-05-05
Having just started out in the profession of training I bought a number of books to help me learn. This book was by far the best. It kept me interested the whole time and is just crammed with great 'how to' techniques, advice and tricks of the trade. The self-discovery questionnaires and self-development exercises were excellent. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who really wants to excel at being a great trainer.

Cheese Making - Awesome Book!.......2007-09-30
This is a great book for beginning and 'intermediate' home, cheese makers. I would highly recommend having this book in your pantry if you are going to attempt making cheese from home!
Excellent purchase!.......2007-05-15
This book is very detailed yet easy to understand. We have recently purchased cheese making kits for making cheeses at home since where we live, they are quite expensive and not readily available, especially for the goat cheeses in Australia.
THe 1st book we bought was good enough for beginners (if you are afraid of making cheeses, don't. Everything we did came perfectly all right). But this one goes into more details and explanations. So we recommend it!
Useful Cookbook.......2007-03-28
This book is easy to follow. It made cheese making simple. I found that the recipes made better cheeses than I could buy.
An extremely informative book.......2007-03-19
This book contains a wealth of information for the beginning cheese maker or for experienced ones for that matter. Great recipes that work. In my opinion, the book is well worth the money I paid for it.
A Standard for Cheese Making.......2007-01-26
I got interested in making cheese after I meet the artisan cheesemaker at a local winery near Herman, Missouri. She told me that she had started in her kitchen and had developed the hobby into a professional culinary skill, after further education in Europe and Israel on the fine art of cheesemaking. She enthusiastically recommended this book, and I received it for Christmas. It is very well written, with logical chapter layout for ingredients, equipment, and techniques, followed by lots of recipes for the different families of cheeses (hard, soft, Italian, etc.) The beginning establishes the cheese makers vocabulary, which is then used throughout the book. A great book for a beginning cheese maker.
Book Description
Every parent who has lost a child has dealt with disturbing, haunting questions. Why my child? Where is my baby now? Will I ever see my child again?
Renowned Bible expositor John MacArthur tackles the question of infant death (in the womb or following birth) in his trademark style-with detailed attention to Scriptures that hold the answers. No death occurs apart from the purposes of God, MacArthur assures readers, just as no life occurs apart from the purposes of God.
With a pastor's heart, he leads readers to an understanding of the eternal destination of these precious little ones. His conclusion: Babies-and anyone else who has not reached the condition of accountability-go to heaven when they die, and there will, indeed, be a time of blessed reunion with these souls.
This comforting book is certain to bring consolation to those experiencing this most painful loss.
Customer Reviews:
Excellent.......2007-09-26
This little book was a great comfort to me after the death of our unborn son. It is not a touchy-feely book but rather a real look at scripture which offers the only REAL hope and comfort. I am planning on buying this for any of my friends that go a loss in the future.
excellent.......2005-12-10
I have never had a doubt in my mind that babies and young children that die go to heaven. To me, it has always been a matter of common sense. Just knowing about God's character has always been proof enough for me. His divine grace knows no bounds. His mercy is greater than His wrath. Coming to earth in human form to die for our sins, even though we don't deserve it, is the greatest proof of this. Therefore, I have always believed that His grace covers those that have not yet developed the intelligence to distinguish between right and wrong. However, I wanted my beliefs to be based on more than just my own intuition. I wanted Scriptural proof beyond the concepts of God's unfailing love and all encompassing grace. Unfortunately, I am no theologian. As such, I often need help in looking for the answers I seek within Scripture. Thankfully, John MacArthur has published this well-researched and theologically sound book on the subject of infant death.
MacArthur points to Scripture after Scripture that prove that infants instantly go to heaven when they die. If you had any doubt on this subject before, your doubt will fade away after reading this excellent and comforting book.
Of course, there are those that have the opposite opinion. Some believe that since we are all born into a sin nature, that if we have not had a chance to except Christ into our hearts, then we are lost forever. This, of course, includes children. However, this totally discounts the saving grace of God. God's grace is so much bigger than we ever realize. It is not limited to our feeble understanding of His ways. Personally, I can't imagine being under leadership within a church that espouses the teaching that infants who die go directly to hell. It is unfathomable to me how anyone can believe this. It seems very contradictory to what Scripture shows us to be true.
Then, there are those who have decided that Scripture does not say anything on the subject. Therefore, the truth of the matter can not be known to us. We are to just trust that God will do what is right. However, it seems to me that this is just a cop-out. While it's true that we should always put our faith in God to do what is right (he is a good God!), He has also given us His Scripture for study and meditation. He does have something to say to us on this subject and it is our responsibility to diligently study His Word to know the Truth. Even if this means we must go outside of ourselves and seek guidance from those that have more wisdom on Scriptural concepts than we do.
Hope.......2005-10-22
My wife and I lost our precious daughter Hope after only thirty mintues with her. I knew a little about what the bible teaches on the subjects and where to find the basics, so I knew that she was with God. I still I found this book to be extremely helpful in fleshing out the whole topic and answering some questions I could not find the answers to on my own. I especially admired how Dr. MacArthur relied on Scripture for his entire argument. There was no wishful thinking in this volume just sound biblical teaching.
A warning: If you have recently lost a little one this book is hard to read because of the sad stories.
A plug: However, this book is worth reading when you are ready.
Wonderful, but has some views that are clearly Protestant.......2005-08-12
As a Catholic trying to cope with the loss of a child, I'd say this book is 99% wonderful and 1% that I'm not in agreement with. This is clearly biblically Protestant in which there are "missing links". Although I completely agree that the Lord is merciful towards babies and innocent young children, I do not agree with what he states about instant Heaven with adults and older children. If you are Catholic or Orthodox, take this into mind and discernment that this is not in junction with the teaching of our Church. Otherwise its a wonderful tool in knowing that our babies are very much alive in Heaven waiting for their families.
Faith and Hope from Heaven.......2005-08-10
I was given this book when my 4 1/2 month old son passed away and I can honestly say that this book has brought me comfort for the fact that I know my son is up in Heaven with God, his great grandparents and other children who have left this earth much too early. John MacArthur lets us know, through scripture readings, that God turely holds these babies and children safe with him in Heaven. I know that one day I will be reunited with my 4 1/2 month old son (along with my other children) in Heaven and I will never have to leave them again. I look forward to the day when I can join them in Heaven, but until then, John MacArthurs book reassures me that they are safe and perfect and that nothing can ever hurt them.
If you are looking for a book about the truth of God and Heaven for little ones, then this is it. You will not be disappointed with this book at all!
Product Description
""Heaven"" has been the topic of several best-selling books and major news programs in recent months. Now, The 21 Most Amazing Truths about Heaven delves deeply into scripture to find out exactly what this incredible place is like. Written by Dave Earley, author of the popular titles The 21 Most Effective Prayers of the Bible and The 21 Most Encouraging Promises of the Bible, this small volume on heaven provides an easy-to-read preview of the Christian's final forwarding address. Written in Dave Earley's thought-provoking style, The 21 Most Amazing Truths about Heaven offers encouragement for today from our home of the future.
Book Description
If you're going to call it "home" for eternity, don't you want to know what it's like?
Our pictures of life in heaven cover the range from comical to curious, from mystical to fictitious--with maybe some biblical truth thrown in. For example: We know angels will be there. But thanks to TV, we think of them as being gorgeous, white-robed beings with enormous wings. We know we will be given new bodies, but books have convinced us that that means we will we end up with a set of wings ourselves. And cartoons, movies, and modern music have portrayed those who have gone to heaven as having full knowledge of what's happening to their loved ones on earth.
But if heaven is in your future, a Hollywood scriptwriter's interpretation or some artist's rendering of it just won't do. You need to know the truth, which, ironically, is far better than anything our creative minds can imagine.
The only One who knows the glorious truth about heaven is God. And the only place to find that truth is in His Word.
In this book, pastor John MacArthur takes you through those very Scriptures and opens your heart to the realities of heaven, angels, and eternal life. It's a joyous study of every Christian's future. A future that you can and should anticipate.
Come along with this best-selling author for an in-depth look at where you'll spend eternity. Open up
The Glory of Heaven and catch a glimpse of Home.

not impressed!.......2007-08-16
This book didn't deliver..... I was disappointed with the way the author delivered his information. I felt like instead of giving me ideas on what is in heaven he was too busy debunking everybody else and telling me why they were wrong. Having a hard time finishing it up...
A great find.......2006-06-27
This book was very uplifting and rooted in scripture. I had recently read a "best seller" about Heaven and left the book feeling misinformed. This book grealy helped me with some questions I had about Heaven. I would recommend this book to all people.
Heaven According to the Bible.......2006-05-04
The excellence of "The Glory of Heaven" is that it dispels error and explains truth without going beyond scripture, without crossing over into speculation as other writers on this topic do. In addition to using scripture to rebut popular New Age ideas about the afterlife, MacArthur utterly demolishes Christendom's false notions, like soul sleep (no immediate presence with God) and purgatory (post-mortem suffering). He even challenges common evangelical theory about the place of "Abraham's bosom." The occupants of heavens are described, both angels and glorified humans, with the distinction made between sanctification and glorification. Finally, MacArthur clarifies seemingly contradictory verses about the nature of the place of heaven, such as some that imply a temple in heaven and others that do not. MacArthur envisions an eternal heaven that transcends space and time rather than one that is just a different name for the New Earth. Because of MacArthur's scripture-laden academic manner, this book may seem a bit tedious for those who prefer conversational or devotional styles, but at least it's faithful to the Bible. (Also, MacArthur attaches 4 appendices that are more devotional pieces written by Boston, Spurgeon and Ryle.)
good book worth sharing with your friends.......2000-07-22
This is one of the best books I have ever read about heaven and the afterlife. It inspires and gives hope, and let's us remember the entire purpose of our lives. This one is well worth sharing with any Christian, and definately worth the read.
**Bringing the church back from it's secular mentality**.......1999-11-06
MacArthur is an amazingly gifted preacher. The Lord uses John in this book to bring the focus of the contemporary church today back to a view of the future hope that all Christians have waiting for them. Christians are strangers in a foreign land, sojourning untill the Lord takes them home by death or by rapture, but yet the church has fallen prey to the materialistic mentality of the world. Placing the meaning of life seemingly within their possesions and getting caught up in the day to day stuff that goes on in this world, putting to much emphasis and meaning in this "passing" world they have forgotten that they are allready "citizens" of Heaven.
"The Glory Of Heaven" in a number of ways, and through numerous Biblical truths seeks to bring the wandering Christian back to their roots, and shows them their future hope, a hope that is steadfast, sure and even a present reality in the believers life. A hope that should compel the believer to live a life that has it's meaning, it's aim, and it's hope fixed on the "blessed hope and glorious appearing of the great God and Savior Jesus Christ", and all that, that glorious appearing will entail.

One God One Word.......2004-12-06
I found the content and context of "One God One Word" to be quite phenomenal. I've never read a compilation of the different religious beliefs so well put together into one book - where one could study with a sense of ease as well as gain an understanding of it all.
This book is a tool that provides a knowledge and perspective that we all can use in whatever walk we're in. The truth is evident in "One God One Word" as it demonstrates so many useful messages and captures all aspects of ONE GOD.
I have truly been enlightened by my reading and appreciate the insight that this book offers. It's also evident that a lot of time and research was put into this book in order to have created such a dynamic product. I thank God for this book!
