From the supplier: A survey conducted on 1,000 individuals belonging to the Financial Executives Institute reveals that management accounting skills are of vital importance to operating executives. The study revealed that most financial executives perceive a weakness in this field in the present crop of operating executives. It is therefore recommended that management accounting be re-emphasized in both the graduate business programs and in operating executives' in-housing training programs.

This work is helpful for anyone planning a career around the
"work at home" organizational design. The author describes
flexibility, muti-tasking, time management, sound decisions,
discipline, organization and governmental resources and funding.
The work is "a must" if you plan a home office startup from
scratch. The authors also cover work space "coloring"
in order to maximize the psychological aspects of working
in a cheerful atmosphere. Working at home requires a considerable
commitment to planning and organizing work on a sustained
basis. This work describes the benefits and difficulties
you will encounter in making the effort to design a
job based upon the exclusive use of your home office.

What a great title! Unfortunately, most of the book has useful but very simplistic tips. There's little effort to come to grips with the realities of home office life.
The BEST part is the section on "the way we were," where the authors acknowledge their organizational flaws. I felt relieved -- I wasn't the only one!

Mazny years ago the famed author Dr. Alvin Toefler predicted that more of us would be working from our homes. That projection came true leaving a space for advice as to how to do it. The authors Kathy Levinson and Erica Orloff not only provide a solution but valuable advice about issues we may not have considered. This book is tastefully and professionally crafted. Following my reading of the book I found that refering to this text is like going to a seasoned business professional for direction and cousel.

Sunscreens are universally recommended by dermatologists not only to prevent the immediate effects of overexposure to sunlight but also to prevent skin cancer. While the former goal is immediately evident, the latter remains an unproven hypothesis and is a topic of some controversy. Recent epidemiological studies suggesting a correlation between increased use of sunscreens over the past two decades and the rise in skin cancer have led to the question whether sunscreens applied to skin may be undergoing photoreactions, the effects of which are elaborated many years later. By addressing the key questions, this book advances the field of sunscreen photobiology and provides the reader with an unbiased perspective on this important field.

I am the author - a struggling research scientist - please buy my book! Seriously this book is about a new field of scientific research - sunscreen photobiology - what is that? Photobiology is the science of the effect of light on living matter. In this book experts describe the effects of sun light (natural and artificial) on sunscreens as well as the effects of the light that penetrates sunscreen protected skin and reaches the underlying cells (after after all sunscreens are not concrete blocks!)
