Great study guide .......2006-11-14
This is a great book for anyone preparing to take a medical assisting exam! The lay out is great and makes studying much easier. I was able to get through the whole book in a week and feel confident going into the exam. The only thing that I didn't love was the CD ROM. It only has one practice exam on it for both test types. It would have been more helpful to have a couple different exams, better preparing you for the exam.
I passed the exam!.......2006-05-28
This book made it possible for me to pass the test. I highly recommend it. It's thorough and easy to work. It was so helpful and I was confident when I walked into the exam room. Thank you and kudos to the authors!
Using this book...I Passed!!!.......2006-02-22
Very detailed and precise, yet easy to understand information. Highly recommend it to anyone preparing to take the CMA or RMA exams. I passed my RMA exam with a high score. If you want to pass those exams, get this book! I commend the authors, they know what MA students need to know to pass those tests.
The key to success for Medical Assisting students .......2005-12-01
I've just completed my RMA certification exam with a score of 97% and now have a great job as a Medical Assistant.I can honestly say that I attribute my success to having read and carefully studied this review book. Read all the material and complete each section of practice questions and you too will be on your way to success. The bonus CD with simulated exams was an extremely beneficial study tool. Use this book to study and your goal of RMA/CMA is easily reachable.

Great...so far.......2007-09-27
I have had this book a few weeks now and have used it quite a bit. My certification exam isnt until January but I passed my school exam with flying colors. I think it really helped! I would recommend it. Actually my instructor recommended it to me.
Delmar Medical Assisting Exam Review.......2006-09-02
I used the Delmar Medical Assisting Exam Review. I would not recommend this book to anyone that doesn't have a lot of medical knowledge. Unless they have made a lot of corrections, there are many, many errors in this material. I was lucky enough to catch a lot of them (who knows how many I missed?). There were enough mistakes that if you went by what was published, you could possibly fail your certification exam. I did call them about the errors, but they really didn't seem interested in knowing exactly what the errors were. They just said if I returned the book, with my sales receipt, they would refund my money. Well I was out whatever I paid for the book because I no longer had my receipt. So if you do purchase this book, just keep in mind that some of the info may not be correct.
Book Description
This reference prepares students to take the CMA or RMA exam with easy-to-read essential material summaries that highlight key areas of the major clinical and administrative parts of a Medical Assistant's program. To all medical assistants - this one's the best!!.......2004-10-29

Its format will get you into shape for either test because it focuses on the most important things you need to know in order to work as an M.A.

Who would want to buy this book?.......2003-03-16
Why is this book still for sale? This book is published in 1997 for crying out loud! With medical advances and information moving at the speed of light today, what good would this 6 year old book be good to someone, like me, who is taking the certification exam in a few months! Outrageous!!
Bad choice........2000-04-08
Terrible book....not even close to the questions on the CMA exam....Using this book for a study guide and doing very well on the practice exams,I failed the CMA exam miserably.

Thanks, I Think........2003-01-11
I bought this to supplement my studies using the Gleim books. I was hoping to study the Gleim books, then take numerous practice exams using the Lambers to help fine tune my skills for the exam. While I appreciate the fact that this software has so many real questions from past exams, as a true study tool, it is almost useless. If you miss a question and read the explanation, you learn nothing. The reasons for missing any question are always stated as "(a) is incorrect because it is." It rarely explains WHY you were wrong or why the correct answer was right, other than "it is." Questions involving ratio analysis give numbers in the explanation, but don't tell you where they are from! You'll appreciate the realistic exam-like setting and real questions from old exams, but if you aren't simply testing what you already think you know, buy some other product....especially for $$$. As to be expected, a couple questions are outdated and every once in a while, you'll find a question that is missing information; but overall it is an adequate tool for practicing TAKING the exam.
the bad software , dont try it.......2001-06-06
i have bought this test software from amazon and beleive me i dont advice anyone to buy it because it is not user friendly first compared to gelim second it doenst have enough questions to practive , question are limited and not in a good standing ,...
cma good test questions.......2000-09-29
The software was excellent. I have found the questions to be very useful and the explanation of the correct answers was excellent. A "must" to test your understanding of the material on the cma exam.

Book Description
A companion book to Whistleblowing: Managing Dissent in the Workplace by the same authors, this study explains and answers the methodological and moral questions they confronted during their research on whistleblowing. In the course of conducting the case study research, a series of tantalizing and troublesome theoretical questions arose: What is whistleblowing and how can its success or failure be judged? How can various theories about organizational behavior be used to predict where whistleblowing is most likely to occur? The data gathered were analzyed from four different perspectives: legal, strategic, sociological, and ethical. The authors were then able to formulate and test 31 hypotheses about when whistleblowing is likely to occur, and what factors make it likely to be proved effective. The authors raise various moral quesitons about different forms of dissent and their justification.
