It's is a fascinating book on accounting, especially on the part of consolidation, where the author's is direct, approachable, explicit and easy to understand. But there is hard to find a book to suit all kinds of students and needs. Say, there is not enough discussion on FRS1 Cashflow Statements. On the other hand, it would be good if the writer can issue a workbook, which he had done before, with questions set on all levels. Overall, this is a good book to keep and refer.

Paul Gee carries on a generation of one of the best accounting titles available which was first started by Spicer and Pegler more then 90 years ago. Written in the context of UK accounting framework, this book covers all the latest introductions in the world of accounting. Recommended by most teachers due to the excellent explanation and coverage of Consolidation Accounting, Paul Gee will not disappoint you on the rest of the accounting areas. Recommended for 'Power Users'!

Simple Language and Practical Book.......2007-05-21

Book language is very clear and straight forward. I spent over 15 years in industry; I see this book worth reading since it covers most of the organizational behaviors that we come across daily in the workplace. Book does not cover committee role in business organizations, and focuses only on groups' behavior. Also, the book does not address stereotyping behavior in details for multicultural organizations. I was not happy about the last 4 chapters in the book since I see it as a collection of general information that can be found easily over the internet. In general, the book is excellent particularly for people who are purely non-academic and looking for practical readings about organizational behavior.

I found the text a little redundant in some areas, but its still a good read, and has nice and easy wording within. It is somewhat of a review of a lot of concepts about organizational behaviour, and has a psychology twist to it as well.

Organizational Behavior book review.......2001-04-02

This text was very useful to understand the concepts of Human Resource and other management functions, and the roles they play in an organization. The text was easy to follow, and was in a easy to understand chronology. The chapters were all well interrelated, carrying common themes throughout each unit. The figures and tables were also fundamental to the understanding of the concepts. They were well drawn and thought out, giving the reader a more clear picture on the material. Overall, I thought that this text book was esay to understand and provided useful, applicable information to the reader. I recommend it to other professors.

How do you define an amateur?.......2006-11-06

If you are brand new to astronomy, say have your first telescope and want to learn more, think twice before buying this book. Or, any book for that matter. I have yet to find a book that begins with the very basics and works from there. (Just ordered Astronomy for Dummies, in hopes this will meet my requirement).

My experience so far is that astronomy books are densely written, and begin with complex concepts and terminology. This one is no different.

Also note how old this book is. I suspect, but don't know, that it needs to be updated.

A good collection of projects for the amateur astronomer.......2001-07-06

This book was written in the early 80s but is still useful today as a guide to how an amateur astronomer can contribute to the science. It covers many observing topics in-depth and explains how to document findings: variable stars, double star orbits, sunspots, asteroid light curves, comets. The book also contains a section on photography and the use of a couple handy instruments that are now probably outdated.

I read the book but haven't actually begun any of the projects covered in it, mainly because I just like to observe with my telescope and not get mired in the science. However, the book did help me become more familiar with the use of telescopes as scientific instruments and not just as windows on the universe.
