I have seen this book and it is well done and an excellent teaching tool. However, on the Amazon site this book has also been on back-order for almost 1 year. I have repeatdly had to re-order this item as per request by Amazon but it has never been shipped. Just when does Amazon consider an item no longer available?

Great book!.......2004-11-05
Great book with fab paper engineering and loads of tabs to pull, etc. The keyboard on the last page actually works and is a very clever addition to the book. As someone mentioned they couldn't work out how to change the batteries, I have actually managed to do it. On the keyboard, just above the keys, run your finger along and you'll feel a tiny screw (cross-head) near the bird on the right. Unscrew that (it leaves a tiny hole in the paper) and the battery compartment should then slight out towards the right. Hope that helps!
The Amazing Pop-Up Music Book.......2002-12-27
This is a wonderful book for all ages. Each page is a delight with its dancing characters and fun tabs to pull. The information is easy for children to assimilate. I especially enjoyed the real keyboard. And the last page is eye popping. My sister, a piano teacher, covets my copy. I may have to get her one for her birthday.
Can't make the keyboard work.......2002-10-02
The keyboard feature in the copy I bought from Amazon.com does not work. I can't tell whether this is because the batteries are dead or not included, because I CANNOT FIGURE OUT HOW TO OPEN UP THE BATTERY COMPARTMENT! The instructions on the back say to use a screwdriver to remove the battery cover, but there are no screws visible and I cannot figure out what else I might possibly be able to move with a screwdriver. This might be a very neat book to have IF you can get the keyboard to work, but I really can't tell.

I was introduced to this book by a friend who bought it as a gift for a family member. I asked to borrow it, and to my amazement I could not believe all the information and history the book contained. I immediately started searching the web for a copy. This book is a "keeper" for anyone who owns or has an interest in a Harley! I cant wait to see what Dieter & Oluf write about Harleys next!

This is one of those books that can be identified as the book of books on Harley-Davidson. If you own a Harley, this book is a MUST HAVE. If you don't have a Harley, you will want to get one after reading this bok and after looking at all the terrific pictures. It is a two volume set, now out of publish. To find this may be hard, but check for this with Amazon's serach for books that are out of print. Because this book is two volumes and is coffee table size, it can be read, looked at and studied by many. This is the Bible of Harley. Without a question, if anyone picks this book up with the interst of bikes they will love it. FIVE STARS AL THE WAY!

The Author of this two book set succeeds in something that all Harley-Davidson riders have, at one time or another, tried to do. Explain why we have this love affair with 650+ pounds of oil, steel and Milwaukee Thunder, and a lifestyle of unspoken Brotherhood. Words in themselves would not be enough, but the pictures therein speak volumes to us who, "Live to Ride - Ride to Live. I am sure that they will speak the same to you too.

i wanted to learn more about the harley davidson bikes and i think i was able to clarify most of my questions . i would like to purchase a bike but my problem is that it would take along time to arrive in the philippines and it would be to expensive .i am one hell of an admirer of this machine . in the manner of informing the readers i believe that the book has made a statment on what the bikes are really all about . The writting was good and the pictures were so great i loved the shots , it was so clear .

This book has great photos, fun text, and is an easy read. Great title for the coffee table. Buy it, read it, and come back to it later. This book is really designed more to look at than to "read", and it does very well what it was intended to do.

I like this book because it is a great book and I like School House Rock and it's still my favorite show. This book is great. I like this book because it reminds me of School House Rock.
A chip off the block!.......2002-06-19
If you grew up in the 70's and 80's and were anywhere near Saturday morning cartoons, then you know Schoolhouse Rock. Many of us learned our times tables because of them. I can remember at least twice when the catchy songs about American History were caught in my head and helped me answer test questions. The lyrics may have been replaced by other facts, but I'm sure that the songs are stuck in your head somewhere. This book is a great companion to bring so much of it back with lyrics, pictures and trivia about all the episodes. It will bridge things until the DVD is released. All in all a ton of fun. Pull out the book, sing along and relive those cereal laden mornings in front of the TV. Oh yea!

This book is great fun to read and has, in addition to a good sense of humor, concepts that made me smile and say, "That's right!" I've passed it on to my co-workers and they also enjoyed reading it. It is a solid supplement to the study of Project Management. I especially liked the sections on dealing with and reading people through body language.

I feel it is important to define what this book is not. This book does not discuss estimation models or costing models, it does not have tips on how to develop a project plan using MS-Project & in general, there are no technicalities discussed.
Rather, this book has tips on everything else that could contribute to the success or failure of a project. The topics include planning, team building, conduct, meetings, & use of technology to better manage projects.
The sections on planning, conduct & meetings are good & full of specific examples for real life project management issues. In fact, this specific nailing down of issues is one of the threads that run through the book - but the impact is limited to these sections. There are many templates & approaches that are discussed & most of the templates can be downloaded from the book's website. People new to project management will find these sections particularly useful as they're unlikely to encounter all these situations & learn by themselves in their early years.
The section on team building has a bit of theory & a lot of explanation on the Myers-Briggs test & the interpretation of its results. I'm not sure if conducting an M-B test as part of building a team is very feasible or is otherwise recognized as a best practice.
The section on technology talks about project intranets & extranets, organizing files & directories, & there are some useful tips on software selection. To be fair, leveraging technology to manage projects, I think, is a topic beyond the scope of a chapter in a 200-page book. However, there isn't much new in this section.
In general, this book is worth a read for somebody with less than two years of project management experience. For anybody who has managed projects for more than that, the value of this book will start diminishing given the extent of her experience.
Finally, this book is written in a very chatty way. Moreover, it's funny.

I purchased this book based on some of the older "rave" reviews, and was somewhat disappointed. There are some good, basic ideas on meeting management, leadership, etc., but some of them are rather trite (Myers-Briggs typing, etc.) I think this book would be a good starting point to someone in middle management on a project, but if you're beyond this point you may not find anything new.
