This book really helps you understand the Holy Spirit. A must read for all Christians period.

In the 70's God poured out his Holy Spirit in a small conservative, humble and powerless Presbyterian church on a small island in Indonesia.

The book accounts the results afterwards: many were saved, people were miraculously healed, the dead were raised, and they crossed a 30ft deep river by walking on top of it.

This book will really increase your faith in the power of God for today.

Mel Tari is such a wonderful and humble man of God. I learned more about deliverance in his 2 page description of it than any other book could have told me. His agenda is the Kingdom of God.

My heart longs for revival and renewal in greater measure - the real Jesus movement - salvation poured out and the earth filled with His glory.
Reading this book reminds me that God is able, willing and desirous to do so - All He wants is simple, childlike faith.

This book is about a 1960's Jesus revival in Indonesia - the revival began in a Presbyterian church and spreads throughout the country. Miracle after miracle occurred, all in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth - including such awe inspiring ones as: 1000's at a time coming to Jesus, literal walking on water, raising the dead, healing the sick, preaching the gospel to the poor, staying dry while walking in a rainstorm (without an umbrella), being led by lights at night and a cloud by day, and so many other God miracles.

I believe that God is eager to inhabit His people - people who are earnestly seeking Him. This is the hour. This is the time for God to pour forth His Spirit, bringing many to repentance and into the fullness of Christ Jesus. Revival is coming - heed His voice and follow Him - all of His ways are good - He is faithful and true. Be holy. Pursue Him from a pure heart - lose your life so that you can find it in Christ. Yes. A young Presbyterian Church pre-med student is confronted by charismatic revival in Indonesia in the 1970s. He follows the perceived call of God on his life and goes into missionary work, participating in a series of lessons of how the Spirit moves and dealing with both good and malevolent spiritual issues. This book is colorful on many levels, easy and enjoyable to read, simple and challenging: Do you really believe these supernatural things happen today or no? Walking on water, water turned into wine for Communion, visions, dreams etc. It is a remarkable account of what God can do in areas of this world where conveniences we are accustomed to in the West are lacking. This book polarized people theologically in the 70s and thirty years plus later is still a challenge. My belief is God CAN when necessary, and in Indonesia in the 70s (and more so even today) we need the truly miraculous. But Tari's book shines in that it is Christ-centered and Gospel true, not selling sensationalism but preaching repentance and salvation. It is one of a kind, which makes it (even more so 30 years later) that much more credible.

Know what you're getting..........2004-06-25

I love these songs, but you should know that this book contains only melody and guitar chords. No guitar, bass, banjo or autoharp tabs. Just melody in the treble clef, and chord charts. You're on your own for harmony vocals, too. And only the Folksmen version of "Never Did No Wanderin'" is included. A few of the songs include the main instrumental lines (Penny Whistle solo in "Fare Away", classical guitar solo in "Skeletons of Quinto", et cetera).

If you're a crappy guitar player like me, you can enjoy just playing the chords and singing these fun songs. If you're decent, you can pick them in a way that sounds good to you. It's just good to know what you're buying.

This is a great book if you like the new Christopher Guest movie "A Mighty Wind." All the songs are here in standard sheet music notation with guitar tablature (most are fairly simple to play, except a couple of the 'Folksmen' songs). There is a colorful if brief history of all three bands, and a short introduction by Guest. Additionally, there are printed and complete versions of all the lyrics printed both within the sheet music and outside of it, where they are easier to read. A special bonus is the music to 'The Catheter Song,' which was scandalously omitted from the soundtrack.

If you like the movie, or just like the music, you will like this book, just understand it's a music book first, and a scrapbook second.

In the early 20th century, a new and distinctive concept of the audience rose to prominence. The audience was seen as a mass -- a large collection of people mostly unknown to one another -- that was unified through exposure to media. This construct offered a pragmatic way to map audiences that was relevant to industry, government, and social theorists. In a relatively short period of time, it became the dominant model for studying the audience. Today, it is so pervasive that most people simply take it for granted.

WRTH has long been a very valuable tool for the broadcast professional who has dealings with the international industry. Details of the fifth estate of the world are clearly detailed, also including the different stations and organizations from all corners of the planet. But there are many more facets to this book. Reviews of shortwave receivers are clearly useful for the avid DX'er. Information about digital radio and TV also help keep one abreast of that's happening there. Workable QoS finally!.......2007-03-09

The Broadband hype of converged networking, things like IPTV, VOIP, H.323, will never work without QoS. Now even the Microsoft Vista Kernel has QoS.

This is a great book about end-to-end QoS pratical examples, code, methods along with solid explanations of why and how. A must read for both LAN and WAN people. QoS is still diffcult but this book finally details practical standards that can be adhered too.

"Indispensable" is the one word which best describes this work. (In the interest of full disclosure, I've known Christina Hattingh for several years. As I've written in the acknowledgements of my books she is "one of the finest engineers I've known and worked with." I've never met Tim Szigeti.)

The authors have put together an outstanding work which incorporates real world experience, lucid explanations (see the section on 'qos pre-classify' on p.649, for example), and a wealth of configuration examples, show and debug command outputs.

If you need to "do" QoS, especially in a converged network, the contents of this book will be invaluable.

When this book first arrived at my doorstep, I figured it would be a quick read, a review of information I was already fairly comfortable with, and just another presentation of the same-old material. I couldn't have been more wrong! Over the last several months, a number of hours have been devoted to leafing through the pages of valuable information, learning something new every time! Szigeti and Hattingh have done a superb job in putting this reference together. From the basic fundamental concepts of QoS, to the tuning and optimization of QoS policies, this book covers it all pretty well. QoS design considerations, both on the campus as well as the WAN, are covered in a way that is easy to understand. A significant amount of material is dedicated to explaining QoS support on the various models of Cisco Catalyst switches, with a solid breakdown of each. A number of case studies guide you through real-world examples of how QoS technologies are best leveraged, in clear, concise detail. The at-a-glance guides in the back of the book are also good reference material. For the enterprise user and service provider alike, this guide will prove to be a valuable tool when tackling in the toughest of QoS tasks. I would give this book a solid 5 on the scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being amazing! Great job with this book, keep up the good work!

Excellent book. Well written and the material is very well presented. It covers the different QoS technologies with very good examples and explanations. This is a "must have" to any network engineer that is planning to design, deploy and maitain QoS in a networking infrastructure.

OK Book, but few things are missing.......2005-07-06

The book got the right balance between design and implementation.

Few important things I found missing in the book:
1. QOS on vlan interfaces and L3 interfaces on switches
2. QOS on router's ethernet interfaces which are used for WAN connection.
3. More detailes about how QOS impact CPU usage.

But most other things are well explained in the book.
A good read!
