Customer Reviews:

2 out of 5 stars Piano book.......2006-11-10

I like Johnny Cash but this book is written for someone to sing to and I just like to play the piano.

2 out of 5 stars Wrong key, no one plays these songs on piano.......2006-03-25

This book is good for the lyrics and melody lines. However they are not in the key of
the recordings and include chords that Mr. Cash never used dim chords.
Also , in classic Hal Leonard style, the songs are written for piano. Who play's these
songs on a piano? They should offer this book for guitar with tabs. Or maybe they have and I couldn't find it.

4 out of 5 stars Could be a better selection..........2005-11-20

Johnny Cash was a man that enjoyed a lengthy music career, and thus has a large library of songs credited to or associated with him. I guess that this could explain why this book left me wanting for more. Although 40 tracks to choose from is quite a nice selection, and there are definitley multiple tracks that I can't wait to dig into; there are also quite a few of my favorites that are missing. If you like the more known Johnny Cash tunes, this book won't let you down "ring of fire", "walk the line", "boy named sue" are all there. The format and music notation is quite well done, and in the begining there are three or four pages of nice pictures of the man himself throughout his life, black and white but nice. Looking at the tracks that are in the other "strum it guitar" Johnny Cash book, I think this is without a doubt the better one, I just wish that someone would make a book with a more thorough selection of songs. If you buy it, it won't be money wasted, but at the same time Johnny Cash songs are pretty easy to figure out, and you can always look it up on the internet. 4 stars.

4 out of 5 stars Descent but not perfect..........2007-10-02

This is a good book. While it production values are nothing like many other books in the series, it still has a lot of interesting information. Specifically, there are a myriad number of feats that make playing a forsaken character far easier. There are also feats that lend a greater feeling to interacting with spirits. Several of the prestige classes are good. How ever, some seem redundant, like the fact that they have shadow hunters and spirit champions, both of which fulfill a similar theme. The monster classes in the book are a tad over power (ie the ogre mage). All in all I found it useful.

4 out of 5 stars For the Horde.......2007-07-03

This book delves into the rich background and history of the primary Horde races - namely orc, tauren and (forest) troll and it accomplishes this feat surprisingly well, while also introducing other playable races like the half-ogre, half-orc and abomination.

You will also find several horde only prestige classes like the Lightslayer, Plagueshifter and Shadow Ascendant along with new magic items (e.g. kodo helm of devouring & wyvern tamer gloves), tech-devices (e.g. doubleslammer, totem wings) and feats. The book is well worth the purchase if you are a fan of the horde, if you plan to enrichen your WoW rpg experience or if you want more credible foes for your Alliance themed game. Enjoy!

3 out of 5 stars Not Part of the online WOW game........2007-02-07

It is a nice book. It takes me back to the days in 1978 when I learned to play dugeons and dragons using a paper and pencil.

But I was looking for a book to help me with the online version of World of Warcraft. And this is not the right book for that.

It does give some of the background information on the storyline. It was just the wrong book for my needs.

                        4 out of 5 stars Excellent title!.......2007-01-12

Very well written and essential for fans of the setting. The tabletop opens vistas heretofore inaccessible. Combined with Lands of Mystery, this book is invaluable for running a Kalimdor campaign.

                        Book Description

Why put yourself through all the trouble of figuring out a project management software program? And why find out about project management techniques when you've been muddling through on your own up until now? The answer is self-evident. Because you've managed projects before and you know there has to be a better way. You're ready to discover what all this project management hoopla is about, and you'd like to use Microsoft Project to do the job. You've just made two good management decisions right there.

Deep down, you're probably wondering whether this is going to hurt. You'll be relieved to know that getting to know Microsoft Project is straightforward and kind of fun. You don't have to know anything special about computers or project management to begin. Of course, once you start throwing those Gantt charts around the office, people might assume that it took grueling labor and a steel will to figure out the program. Whether you choose to display modesty or bask in their amazement will be entirely up to you.

As this book's title so subtly implies, it will show you how to use Microsoft Project 2000. But what the title doesn't say is that this book also gives you a basic explanation of project management. You'll cover all of the following topics, and more:

Microsoft Project 2000 For Dummies is written in a way that lets you master your project management skills by practice. The enclosed CD-ROM is loaded with a number of project files so that you can read the material and practice. In addition, you'll get evaluation and demo copies of some excellent project management programs designed to make your job even easier.

                        1 out of 5 stars way too general - a poor resource.......2001-10-23

This book offers a VERY general overview and does not even come close to preparing a new user to use Project effectively or proficiently. The organization seemed disjointed compared to two other books on the same subject. I'm generally pleased with other "For Dummies" books, but was most disappointed with this particular one and ended up returning the book.
