This book is very good,really... I learned how to recognize Barbie head molds by period,learnd about the world's fashion history in the ultimate forty years and became much more a Barbie lover than before I knew this book...

Since an Italian writer, he revolves a little more around the Italian part of Barbie (i.e., the fasions, models from Italy, excerts from Italian magazines, etc.) but he does go through a lot of the very famous styles that made Barbie "Barbie" like Enchanted evening, Solo in the Spotlight, Busygal, etc. There is also a 4 page visual on the steps in making a Barbie which I thought was pretty neat. He also shows about 16 of the around the world barbies. And lots of special edition ones too. A very good book; anyone who wants to know about the "special" barbies should get this book

I liked this book because of the short stories in it. I was able to use my mind to solve the cases and could check to see if I was right. It was hard at first but then I learned how to look for the clues. This is similar to You Be the Jury (the first book). If you like short stories, to be challenged, and to solve the crime, read this book.

This is my review for Where In Time Is Carmen Sandiego? Part II, by John Peel, illustrated by Paul Vaccarello, and John Nez. This is a You Are The Detective Series book. In this marvelously educational book, Carmen Sandiego and her gang are traveling back in time, once again. This book is a 10-star book, because of its educational value, and it's very entertaining. I simply loved it because of its detailed information. It's so detailed, that I could almost SEE what was happening! I also really enjoyed chatting with historical people, and learning about them. It's pretty funny, too. It's pretty rare to find a really educational, entertaining, and funny book, like this one. Reading this book is different than reading a regular book. To read it, you turn to indicated numbers, look at suspect profiles, and record stuff like Travel Points, clues, etc. I think that the author, John Peel, was very imaginative in what the people had to say, do, and their personalities, and that made it even more fun to read! I really, really liked it because I was the star, that means you would be. You would also choose who to question, where to go, and who to arrest. The book was really exciting. I highly recommend this to anyone who likes mystery, adventure, and history. I loved it, mainly because of the learning, and I hope that if you buy it, you will like it, too. Thanks for your attention. I hope thst you liked my review, and, maybe, even considered buying the book.

In which leads us into getting to know Christ Jesus, loving him, and developing a relationship with him. We have a choice to choose Christ Jesus in our lives, and agree with his knowledge and wisdom or choose against it. But remember this, The Lord Jesus is our creator, We belong to him good and the bad, even Satan. The world and everything in the world belongs to Christ Jesus, whom has the power to give life and take life, the power to build up, and the power to tare down. The power to bless, and the power to curse, and the power to have mercy on whom he pleases. The Lord Jesus is warning us that we are living in the last days. The day of his wrath, his revenge, and jealousy, and also the day of his final judgment on mankind. Again readers, these revelations are controversial, unique, firm and plain to understand clearly the purpose. Those who thirst for firm understanding with proof will find these revelations as amazing as I. I will leave with you a back up revelation from the Lord Jesus, concerning this book.

It is so amazing how the author Marilyn, held her faith in being determined to complete these revelations from God. These revelations are so serious and personal,They speak life, there are much power in them.These revelations are filled with emotional changes leading us to a different topic in each chapter that is filled with deep conversation and deep examination of self through God's judgments, knowledge and wisdom. Volume II begins where volume I left off not breaking the mood but emotions that goes deep into your soul leading to another topic. These are revelations that you read little at a time because you are not only learning but there are so much being discerned, manifested, and judged, bringing enlightment, inspiration, tears, and so much more. These revelation also at the same time are bringing about a transformation change and leaves your mind,and heart open for Jesus Christ, to just step in to show his love and compassion for us in giving much comfort, strength and understanding to our hurt and pain. Each chapter takes you on a journey to just be awaken to just think and leaves you feeling refreshed in the spirit and you gain strength and power from it. Volume II, explores our personal lives, lifestyles, habits, addictions , weaknesses, and fears.The awakenings you recieve in these revelations grow stronger and stronger. We of the world have grown into lifestyles we have adapted to. God used Marilyn in bringing out behavior patterns through the media that reveals destructive behavior patterns that God, dispises, and reveals through scpiture and parable stories the problems that are associated with these life styles. The judgments on these lifestyles are firm and are being manifested in our lives, in which allows us to examine ourselves and gain answers to confusing questions.God explains what is dyfunctional and unstable in our lives. Truth are being revealed and at the same time correction of these behaviors are given along with encouraging instructions. The revelations in this volume allows us to focus on our lives, staying alive, and reveals what we should know to stay alive. They reveal that we get so tied up in the world focusing on pleasures and the desires of our heart to the point that we are not valuing our lives spiritually as we should. God reminds us that our lives are in his hands and that we shorten the days of our lives in the earth when we blindly are concentrating on material gain more. God reveals that eating, drinking, and being merry, are not all we are in the earth for. Jesus Christ, alerts us to acknowledge that life is a gift from God,so precious and that we should appreciate it and not abuse ourselves or allow our selves to be abused.God reveals that we get tied up emotionally with one another being blind to the wisdom and knowledge of Jesus Christ, to the point that we focus more on drama, confusion and corruption than gaining knowledge and wisdom that teaches us how to handle a situation being alert to discerning good or bad, evil, right or wrong behaviors in one another. Teaching that we can be easily decieved and mislead into situations that we blindly and spiritually are not aware of until we have experienced what comes out of it. The damage is done and we find ourselves being trapped in situations that we find hard to come out of. We fall weak and allow ourselves to be scorned to the point of hurt and pain because we do not know how to love in a way God teaches but the way man teaches in which fall's into destructive patterns because we choose what is considered right or wrong, good or bad,and evil in our on sight and not in God's sight. God reveals that his love is clean and gentle and does not involve mental or physical abuse. It is very important to discern spiritually what is of God, and what is of Satan. God reveals his power, knowledge and wisdom in leading us out of evil situations through our love and faith in him. God promises to protect and bring anyone who call's on him out safely in a matter of time.These teachings from God are so inspirational and inspiring that your tear's will be replaced with joy. Recieving spiritual freedom is precious. God brings out issues on fears and insecurities concerning relationhips,and our fear of crimes in explaing and manifesting the mind of a criminal, bringing out reasons through the media to why a person can become so destructive in their lives leading them to criminal acts. This goes back emotionally in how we treat one another. Deep emotional and physical abuse are being revealed on these topic's to bring a deep understanding and evaluation to this problem. God reveals that there is nothing to great that he cannot heal or save based on the revelations revealed and in warning that we should choose to come away from these behaviors that are filled deeply with scars and be healed from it. God explains why people who are innocent fall victim to crimes that relate to a death being involved. We learn why Gods way's and thoughts are higher than man's. God proves that he is more understanding than man because man is guilty of much causing dyfunctional act's in the abused and causing one to become unstable spiritually in their minds leading them to distructive behaviors and away from God.This volume also reveals Americans fear of liveing in an unsafe world and our worries of the control of epidemic's threatening our lives and concerns about unaware distruction that can be revealed unexpectly as with the Katrina Hurricane. A used-car-salesman's book on SOA.......2007-08-07

Just about every technology cliché' out there is used in the "used-car-salesman's" version of a book on SOA (sorry if I offend any used car salesman here). The argument here is that SOA solves every ill. Not true. Only good, sound, application of the proper technology where it is needed will do that, not SOA alone. These guys could have written a great book if they had only refrained from hyperbole.

I'm amazed this book received so many good reviews, the only reason I can see is that the reviewers are all Managers or it's a sign of a skewed process.

Anyway the books own description should give it away "Intended for both business people and technologists". What are the chances of that being true? I'd say none.

Basically this is a Managers book with all the consultant doublespeak you'd expect. It's written from such a high level it will give you nose bleed and makes tons of assumptions that only a Manager would buy into. If you are a techie and buy this book you will waste your time at best and learn misleading/incorrect info at worse.

Perhaps the authors or the publishers friends wrote some of these reviews. Don't waste your money on this one, move on to another book. Seldom have I been more disappointed between the description, reviews, and what I found in a book than this one. I only wish Amazon allowed a rating of zero stars.

SOA made plain.......2006-08-03

This book examines SOA from all perspectives, technical and business. It mentions both pros and cons summing up why it's one of the greatest moves forward in IT industry. IT people can easily relate to situations covered in this title.

Pulier and Taylor, begin by providing a broad overview of web services, how they work, and what they can do for your business. Then, they introduce the concept of the service-oriented architecture. The authors continue by exploring how the enterprise SOA changes the terrain of enterprise application integration, software development, business-to-business commerce, business process management, and real-time operations. Next, they introduce the extremely important discussions of security and management of enterprise SOA. Then, the authors look at SOA networks and utility computing, two deployment scenarios that are likely to be on your horizon if you are considering and SOA.
