Bailey Books Rule!!.......2001-01-16
I really loved this book, it was great for young children beggining to read! I've read every book by these artists before amd have loved all of them! Abunch of adolescent chidren going on many interesting adventures is wonderful.
Book Description
Attempting to create life through dreadful experiments, Henry Frankenstein and Dr. Pretorius instead created unspeakable horror: two misshapen monsters, a brutish male and his female mate, stitched together from the bodies of cadavers. Crafted to be the monster’s bride — an undead Eve to an equally accursed Adam — the female creature was destroyed mere minutes after taking its first breath — or was it?
This new novel by the critically acclaimed Elizabeth Hand reinterprets the memorable characters from Universal Picture’s classic 1935 film for a new generation of horror fans. Detailing the bride of Frankenstein’s secret history, from the shadows of forgotten laboratories to the streets of Weimar Germany, she creates a richly atmospheric tale of horror, mystery, and tragedy as chilling as the creature itself.

Frank's Fan.......2005-07-01
Awesome! This is the BEST BOOK IN THE SERIES!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is a must read for preteen monster fans who like action and humor! Otherwise, in my opinoin ,I also recommend the first book.Oh, by the way I don't blame you if your afraid. Because if you're not careful and you just randomly pick a book from the library and it is this one, BE AFRAID,BE VERY AFRAID!!!!!!!!!!!!
Best Book in the Series!!!.......2002-09-22
This book was great. It had tons of action and it was a great ending to a series. Or was it? It has a majorly surprising ending (unless you pay really close attention to the book)and it also told a greatstory. The were only to things that I didn't like: 1.It made the Creature look like a God or something, and 2.The Bride of Frankenstein, like in the movie, was only in it in the end, and, also like the movie, she didn't do anything but hiss and shreik at the Creature. All in all, however,it was a great book that I would like to read over and over again. Oh yeah, and I really liked Dr. Pretorius, too. He was a true mad scientist. Larry Mike Garmon is a really talented author, and I wish he would write at least one more book:The Invisible Man. I think that it would be soooo cool if they had to fight something they couldn't see. Thanks for reading, and have a wonderful day.
A Great Ending!.......2002-08-26
Wow! This series started off great and it has ended up great! I wish it would go on for at least two more books and include The Invisble Man and the Phantom of the Opera. I liked the action and how Bob seemed to grow up in the series. Just when you thought it was safe to watch all those old monster movies again, here come Dracula, the Wolf Man, the Creature, the Mummy, and the Gill Man all at once to try to seek revenge against Nina, Bob, and Joe. I was happy to see that Trey was more involved as well. The battles were cool and the characters were real. I'm going to read the whole series from beginning to end again!
The End of a Great Series.......2002-08-26
I know they say that all good things must come to an end, but I wish this series would go on. I was thrilled to see that all the monsters come back for one big battle with Nina, Joe, and Bob. The action is non stop. I felt like I was saying good bye to some old friends when I reached the end of the book. The reader will be surprised at what happens and how Nina, Joe, and Bob end up. All six books were great and kept me guessing about things. Too bad it's got to end.

Book Description
Generally considered a greater film that its predecessor, Frankenstein, this sequel starred Elsa Lanchester as the eponymous heroine and Boris Karloff repeating his role as the monster. Manguel gives a detailed and highly sensitive account of the film's felicities of inventive filmmaking. He also traces the literary roots of the Frankenstein myth, the creation of a living being by a man usurping the powers of a jealous God. And he finds echoes in the work of modern artists such as Max Ernst and Marcel Duchamp of the Bride as a kind of femme fetale, monstrous and threatening.

"Bride of Frankenstein" rewritten for elementary readers.......2002-03-09
The Movie Monsters Series adapts the screenplays of classic black & white horror movies as books for young readers (the series was edited by Dr. Howard Schroeder in the Department of Elementary Education at Mankato State). In the case of "Bride of Frankenstein" Carl R. Green and William R. Sanford work from the screenplay of Garrett Fort. However, the prologue makes a rather interesting error in that it passes off the 1931 Universal Studios classic film version of "Frankenstein" as the plot for Mary Shelley's novel, with the creature dying in the flames of the old mill rather than disappearing into the frozen wasteland of the Artic. While it is true that Universal had to find a way to rescue the monster from his fiery death, the idea of creating a bride for the creature is still part of Shelley's novel.
"Bride of Frankenstein" tells a even greater horror story that the original, because with all that went wrong the first time, such as the creature killing a young girl and almost killing his fiance Elizabeth, Dr. Henry Frankenstein wants to try to create life in his laboratory a second time. He is prodded on in this effort by Dr. Septimus Pretorius, who actually puts the "mad" in mad scientist more than Henry. Meanwhile, the creature is out in the world roaming about and manages to make a friend of a blind hermit living alone in the woods. Here is where the screenplay, as well as this novelization, captures the essence of Shelley's argument in her novel. Frankenstein's great sin was not in creating life, but in abandoning his creature after it was born. From the hermit the creature gets a sense of what it is missing and returns to its creator to demand it make a bride for the monster--or suffer the loss of his own beloved.
As an adaptation this little volume is both concise and accurate, sticking to the essence of the film. Both the comic elements involving some of the locals and the monster's love of things dead are eliminated, and I would agree with the reasons for doing so. The reading level is certainly appropriate for the intended age group of elementary school students. The book is also illustrated with black & white photographs of the film, although, ironically, the title creature is seen only under wraps before her reanimation. Most people consider "Bride of Frankenstein" to be superior to "Frankenstein" as a film, but I believe it is important to see them both. Furthermore, if you truly love works of horror, you have to read the original novel sooner or later. I have taught not only the novel but the two films, because they set up interesting discussions and papers dealing with what Hollywood has done to Shelley's original vision of "the Modern Prometheus" (the novel's subtitle).

Book Description
Outlaw motorcycle gangs have long been a major problem for police, and this law-enforcement manual is an inside look at who they are, how they operate and how they see the world. Revealing information on gang members, colors, motorcycles, philosophies, criminal activities, runs, clubhouses and more gives you a glimpse into a hard world that few people know.
Customer Reviews:
Thin, weak and inaccurate..........2006-05-14
...probably like the law-dawgs that wrote it.
I really can't recommend this even as light entertainment. If you know absolutely NOTHING about the lifestyle then you might pick something up, but you'd be better off watching a couple of 60's biker flicks and it would be more fun too.
What you do read here that isn't common knowledge is mostly wrong. An example: The Filthy Few are hardcore assassins according to this book. According to Chuck Zito they're just the most incorrigible of party animals that show up first, go home last and ingest any and all mind altering substances in between. That's quite a difference of opinion there. (I've heard the theory that Zito is just trying to throw law-enforcement off the trail with this statement, but I'M not going to call Zito a liar.)
It's about 44 double spaced pages in outline format. Dry and uninspiring; if you simply MUST you can get through it in an hour. But don't say I didn't warn you.
Waste of Money.......2003-08-07
This is not a book, its some type written pages that were copied. The content is stupid. If you want real insight read "The Brotherhood" by Aruthur Veno. Its current and accurate.
hey its Luigi.......2000-03-02
oh like you know its itsy bitsy moo mo
worth buying but not fully researched or true.......1999-07-09
This is a basic researched manual. To the general person that is involved in this culture, it is obvious that it is written with the main club's in mind, not the smaller, unknown clubs. The research is good but out dated by at least 20 years. One example : Avengers MC, are only in W.Va., Ohio and Mich. and never have been in Calif. or ever will be. Possibly to a person that is starting to be interested in this culture could look at this as a source of general information , ( out dated ) .
Outdated, poorly presented and bad intelligence.......1999-05-17
This manual was a waste of money and time, it was put together by some Outlaw Motorcycle Gang Investigator who must have slept through the lecture's he attended. This manual was sold by Paladin Press for years, it's not worthy of being carried by a reputible company like Amazon.

This book is all about how great Mary Kay thinks Mary Kay is. Though I was interested in learning more about the company (I even was a Mary Kay consultant for a little while), the self-proclamation factor proved too frustrating. I could not even finish the book!
