Nicolas Cage - An Aussies view.......2001-05-31
As a new admirer of N. Cage (Coppola)I found the book a great read. I was, however, disappointed by the lack of personal details. It also seems apparent that the author has not yet met with Nicolas to gain some true insight into the man and his thoughts. A good start for anyone like me wanting to know the basics.

i personally think that there should be a little bit more information on real authors like Nicolas Gage, who was a very influential writer who has written books such as The Mafia is not an Equal Opportunity Employer and Reflections of Greece. Both books were recieved very well in the literary world, unlike Nicolas Cage's book.

Nic inside and out!.......1999-04-09
This author must have actually talked to Mr. Cage and done some research. It is a much better book than Uncaged... and there are lots of details. Again, the only problem is the author neglected to mention Tiempo di Uciddere- a film Cage made in 1989. Besides that this is an indepth look at a very complicated man.... and a good actor.

Book Description
In this volume of recorded interviews, Bernard Stiegler discusses with Jacques Derrida the role of technology in modern societies. Our homes have always existed in the shadow of ‘the other' and inviting guests has always carried the threat of usurpation. In these interviews Derrida argues that today we are witnessing a new expropriation of our home by ‘teletechnologies', whose intrusion seriously endangers our ability to feel ‘at home' in the world.
Television, for example, introduces the outside world into our homes at every instant. Our lives are more isolated, more privatized than ever, even as our homes are permanently intruded, at our own choosing, by strangers, by faraway things, by other languages. The feeling of being ‘at home' is in danger of being eroded forever, as is the distinction between public and private space.
However, in discussion with Stiegler, Derrida argues not that we should fight against the teletechnologies, but that these media should accommodate the norms or ‘rhythms' of communication which are the norms for scientists, artists, writers, philosophers and intellectuals. They discuss the role of the law in the circulation of real or virtual images, and present a powerful argument for the citizen's right to consult the State's audio-visual archives; they examine the process of ‘delocalization' in which the accelerated growth of teletechnologies deconstructs the traditional concept of the State and the citizen in relation to an actual territory. This, Derrida warns, can give rise to a form of return to oneself and one's home which we call ‘little nationalism' whose potential endangers all our societies.

I hope the library doesn't lose this book.......2000-01-12
This is my daughter's FAVORITE book. We have taken it out of the library on 4 different occasions over the second and third years of her life. I would love to have it in print again, and there is no need to update the pictures, they are very attractive to young child. Even weeks after we have read it and then come to a stop light, she still says "red light they they cannot go, green light they can". Find this book and give it to a young person you love.

Book Description
Roll into one little boy's make-believe traffic world, filled with flashing lights, zooming cars, whirring helicopters, and racing fire engines. He's turned records into rotaries, shoe boxes and books into highway ramps, crayons into lane markers, and dandelions into trees. It's a world where imagination rules and creativity abounds.
With its bouncy rhyming text and bright illustrations, this book is perfect for every preschooler who loves planes, trains, and automobiles. It's a bold introduction to how vehicles stop . . . and go!
Customer Reviews:
Two year old loves this!.......2006-11-03
My two year old son absolutely adores this book! We first checked it out at the library and knew that it was one we'd have to buy after he started quoting it ("Uptown, downtown people know...Red light stop, green light go!"). It is a very fun book for parents to read (I never get tired of it, thank goodness) and is one of my son's all time favorite books. The pictures are bright and clever and we have fun seeing how the little boy in the book sets up his play area. I honestly can't say enough about how much we love this book in our house.
stop and go.......2005-09-13
The little boy in this book is really into transportation. He sets up his on little traffic world with cars, trucks and planes. He makes the scenes from household objects such as books, shoe boxes and lots more. He uses his imagination to set up a busy town in his own home.
The little boy in the book was full of ideas. I liked seeing what he would come up with to play with next!
I would recommend this to kids ages 2-5. This age group seems love books about all things that GO!

Book Description
The eighth volume of Tennessee Williams's collected plays - for the first time in paperback. Contains the following four plays:
Vieux Carré: " Williams is completely in control here."London Times
A Lovely Sunday for Creve Coeur: "Collections should include this view of a lady who does not despair, in order to have the full picture of his prismatic Southern heroines."Library Journal
Clothes for a Summer Hotel: "A masterpiece utterly original, freshly imagined in style and substance."Choice
The Red Devil Battery Sign: "It is essential Williams."English Studies
The Theatre of Tennessee Williams presents, in matching format, the plays of one of America's most consistently influential and innovative dramatists. Now available as a paperback, Volume VIII adds to the series four full-length plays written and produced during the last decade of Williams' life, including original cast listings and production notes.
The text used for each play was corrected and revised by the playwright in preparation for publication, or, in the case of the posthumously published Red Devil Battery Sign, makes use of his last known revision.

Book Description
I was born January 20, 1988, in Westmoreland, Jamaica. I started writing poetry when I was in the sixth grade. There was something about writing that brought me to life. It helped me to better express myself to others without verbal communication. As I advanced to high school I became more passionate about writing and developed greater writing skills. High school brought more experiences to my life and made life speak more to me, and many more feelings were developed.

Customer Reviews:
Office for Dummies 2003 helpful but not all inclusive.......2007-04-04
This book certainly has value, but fails to fulfill expectations beyond the basic use of the various programs. There were many helpful tips, but for an advanced user, this book is not the answer. It is perfect for a beginner or early intermediate user of the programs and is a good reference for a person just getting started on these programs.
Office 2003 All-in-One Desk Reference for Dummies.......2007-04-02
I bring the book with me to work and when I don't know how to perform a task with windows, the book walks me through it. It is a wonderful book to keep on my desk as well as help at home.
Excellent book teaches you the essentials and more!.......2007-03-26
I got this book really to learn more about Excel and Access, but I ended up reading the whole thing. I find it works best if you have the programs open and you can practice doing the things the author mentions in the book. As far as Excel goes, I've just about mastered that program after reading the section on it. At work I've put everything on spreadsheets now and it's made my life a whole lot easier!
At first I wasn't going to read the sections on Word or Outlook because I've been using those programs for many years and felt like I already knew everything. However, after reading the sections I was surprised by how much I didn't know. And how I had been doing things the 'hard way' because I was unaware of all the little short cuts and tricks. I highly recommend this book. I was able to go through 2 sections a day, so it took me less then a week to become proficient at Microsoft Office Suite.
Much helpful information.......2006-11-03
It has a lot of useful information on Word, Outlook and Windows XP. It usually always has the answer to any questions I have on these items. It is a great reference to have with our computers.
Invaluable Resource.......2006-06-29
This book has been every thing I had hoped it would be...an invaluable reference to have at one's elbow for quick help!
