Book Description
Recorded history is a finely-woven magic fabric of intricate lies about events predating the sixteenth century. There is not a single piece of evidence that can be reliably and independently traced back earlier than the eleventh century. This book details events that are substantiated by hard facts and logic, and validated by new astronomical research and statistical analysis of ancient sources.

Calculations are only as good as your numbers.......2007-08-03
Yes, we can all agree that mainstream history is nearly 100% BS due to politics, economics, ego, problems with dating techniques, and various conspiracies. Agreed. But, I've been researching the distinct possibility that human history (in terms of civilizations) are much more ancient than we've been told, so coming across this book was very interesting to me. I wondered how Fomenko could be wrong (if at all) because he is very persuasive in his presentations. Then it dawned on me. If at previous times in prehistory, due to the various catastrophies that are well documented (comets, asteroids, planetary disruptions, plasma discharge, pole reversals, etc) the Earth was in a different position in relation to the sun, different tilt on its axis, different orbit, different rotation (in terms of velocity and DIRECTION), and the continents were in different positions, then would this not cause the ancients to see the sky (constellations) differently? In other words, is Fomenko making erronious assumptions about the physics of the Earth in pre-history, which then corrupt his data with regards to dating the relevant astrology? The last event to seriously disrupt our planet occured roughly 3500 years ago, according to other good researchers, so is it possible Fomenko has been confused by this? The vastly different physics of our planet in the not so distant past may explain this confusion, which is not to say the "mainstream" version of history is correct; on the contrary. I am not an expert in these fields, but wanted to see if this idea could spark discussion.
Pants on fire?.......2007-07-19
Will people ever read before spamming? Yes, Jesuits could not rewrite world history alone, they had help. Anyway, Dr Prof Acad A.Fomenko does not point to jesuits as the driving force of world wide history manipulation in published volumes 1,2,3;, actually he barely mentions the poor devils. Check it with 'Search inside' feature, please. China is rarely mentioned either, in fact, Dr Fomenko is completely eurocentric. Right, his theory contradicts all mainstream schools of history, because in their actual state they are all built on blatantly erroneus chronology. You don't need a mysterious cabal (conspiracy) to falsify history, the falsification is its modus operandi. It is inherent to history(ians) to falsify (distort) events, as it is inherent to humans to boast as it is inherent to power (authority) to legimize itself by referrring to glorious past made to its own order. Dr Prof Fomenko and team have identified scores of instances of such manipulation in Russian, European, etc.. history, and delivered valid statistical proof thereof. His own 'reconstruction' is completely another story. Forget c14 as a valid method of dating. W.Libby has initially discovered a brilliant method of INDEPENDENT dating. Too bad, c14 method has become a joke after a forced marrige with dendrochronology with consensual chronological scale inbuilt. Radiocarbon method can't stand blind tests, but is so very productive as a rubberstamp.
Accepted History & Chronology Must Be Changed. .......2007-04-09
There is no doubt that history as most know it is a sham, & institution's version of History both University & Church is fradulent & inaccurate. Everything was established with an agenda, The real "Dark Ages" are now when we have access to incredible amounts of information past authorities & more important 'common folk' didn't have but our institutions & educators are slow to evolve because of what has ignorantly & arrogantly been taught for too long. This is on many subjects not just Chronology.
For anyone to question "Why would a Mathematician have anything credible to say of History?" The answer is from Dr. Fomenko's preface in the book: "It would be worthwhile to remind the reader that in the XVI-XVII century Chronology was considered to be a subdivision of Mathematics." These volumes could possibly be some of the most important works to date & should be read by everyone with an interest in History, especially professors & educators who have a duty to the public. I have read both books & must say that 'Chronology 1' has some very eye opening & revolutionary information. Even if these volumes are part true the implications are profound & opens the doors to further investigations & questions which must be done. I speak several different lanquages & must say the logic Dr. Fomenko uses with "inflection" of words & words being read from left to right in one region & right to left in another then written backwards, the removal of vowels & get down to basics of words, or different cities & locations having the same name etc. is correct. Vowel usage has always been optional & varied, actually complicating linquistics & study. The first thing one has to understand is that words never had a fixed spelling in history like we do now, the spelling of words was mutable & regional, as well as names & titles of people were vast, varied & changed, NOTHING WAS FIXED or understood linear. Matters of Life & Death as well as financial profiteering yesterday & today were & are made with ignorant, illogical & conspiratorial views of history & reality, it's time people get closer to the Truth & society collectively grow up.
Very Interesting.......2007-03-07
It is a good proposal and I believe it will mature into something even better in the future. I think it deserves to be read.
History as Science Fiction.......2007-01-10
Anatoly Fomenko has written a very intriguing book, full of pictures, charts, and computer 'proof' of his thesis: backwards of AD900 we don't really know what happened or when. Between AD900 and AD1600 there is more certainty, but there is still a lot of fuzzy ground, and things don't get reliable until we get past the 1600's where the printing press made it very difficult for the perpetrators of this timeline manipulation to change anything that had been committed to print. The Dark Ages did not happen. Books were burned for a reason. One organization has doubled the actual length of its existence by expanding the real chronology. Read why.
I had always wondered why Christ died about AD33 and yet men waited until the 11th century to form the Knights Templar, the Cathars, etc and go after the Holy Land by force. Why the 1000 year gap? Turns out there wasn't more than a 10-12 year gap and he proves it using astronomy. This also implies that the planet is not as old as we have been told, and current Christian and other creationist scientists are already championing that idea without being aware of Fomenko's book. The two groups, creationist scientists and the Russian mathematical analysts corroborate each other. Fascinating.
Of course, all this flies in the face of what we have been told traditionally is the 'proper' chronology of western civilization, and most readers will experience 'cognitive dissonance' in reading this book. It means that our history going backwards from AD1600 becomes progressively more incorrect and unreliable until it cannot be trusted at all... in the space of 700-800 years.
Naturally, the curious, open-minded reader will want to know WHO did this, WHY, and did any of the events we think of as really ancient ever happen?
Dr. Fomenko is a respected scientist/mathematician at Moscow State University who has already answered these questions to the satisfaction of his initially skeptical colleagues. Most of them are now believers, a few still refuse to believe (the usual diehards), and of course the western press has ignored Fomenko's work -- for obvious reasons when you read the book. The ones who perpetrated this chronology ruse have a lot to answer for. They are still with us. That's why this book is a well-kept secret.
I gave the book a 4-star rating because I was unable to check out some of his claims; those I checked were as he said. But if even 1/3 of his claims are true, this punches a big hole in what we think is our history, the meaning of western civilization, our educational process (for repeating the ruse as gospel), and the trustworthiness of the organization that perpetrated this ruse, well-intentioned or not.
This book relates to current research into a Young Earth paradigm, to John Keel's discoveries about our planet, and Fr Malachi Martin's insights (in his now out-of-print books). We are indeed sheep who are manipulated and kept ignorant -- for a reason. While knowing what these men have to say may be the "booby prize" (as in: 'what can you do with this knowledge?'), it will provide interesting reading. Didn't someone say: "...and the Truth will set you free."?? For you to judge if this book contains the truth.
Book Description
The "Culture of Death" has become a popular phrase, and is much bandied about in academic circles. Yet, for most people, its meaning remains vague and remote. DeMarco and Wiker have given the Culture of Death high definition and frightening immediacy. They have exposed its roots by introducing its "architects." In a scholarly, yet reader-friendly delineation of the mindsets of twenty-three influential thinkers, such as Ayn Rand, Charles Darwin, Karl Marx, Jean-Paul Sartre, Alfred Kinsey, Margaret Sanger, Jack Kevorkian, and Peter Singer, they make clear the aberrant thought and malevolent intentions that have shaped the Culture of Death.
Still, this is not a book without hope. If the Culture of Death rests on a fragmented view of the person and an eclipse of God, hope for the "Culture of Life" rests on an understanding and restoration of the human being as a person, and the rediscovery of a benevolent God. The "Personalism" of John Paul II is an illuminating thread that runs through Architects, serving as a hopeful antidote.

18 Destroyers.......2007-05-09
Eric Voegelin, in his book, "Science, Politics & Gnosticism," describes the gnostic philosopher as one who is "dissatisfied with his situation," and sees the world as a "defective and unjust...prison from which he wants to escape." In his attempt to escape, he tries to "seize control of being" by "the murder of God" so he can facilitate "the destruction of the old world and passage to the new" by the "construction of a formula for self and world salvation" to "replace [the old world] with a perfect and just order." He will then "come forward as a prophet who will proclaim his knowledge about the salvation of mankind." But, in his desire to have dominion over being, he "arbitrarily omits" or "suppresses an essential element of reality in order to... create the fantasy of a new world." This, invariably, leads to societal calamity.
Voegelin's analysis perfectly describes most of the eighteen people featured in "Architects of the Culture of Death," by Donald DeMarco and Benjamin Wiker. Many of the individuals contained in the book are familiar names such as Nietzsche, Darwin and Marx, while others are more obscure, such as Francis Galton, Judy Jarvis Thomson and Clarence Gamble. For each entry, the authors give a brief biographical sketch of the individual and why they are members of the Culture of Death.
Significantly, sixteen of the eighteen people featured are atheists (omitting an essential element of reality) while the remaining two, Margaret Mead and Clarence Gamble, could best be described as "functional atheists" (they claimed a religious faith, but acted contrary to its teachings.) Another common factor was that most came from a broken or dysfunctional home - many having no relationship or an adversarial relationship with their fathers. This is a common pathology among atheists and appears to be a huge catalyst in propelling them into the Culture of Death. Many of the entrants had disagreeable personalities themselves.
This book is written by Catholics for Catholics, so the non-Catholic reader may be surprised by the number of references to Pope John Paul II, other Catholic philosophers and writers, as well as the authors' tendency to place contraception on the same sinful level as abortion. It also leads to an instance of irony that I feel was probably lost on the authors. In the entry on Auguste Comte, DeMarco describes how the philosopher elevates Madame Clotilde de Vaux to an object of worship and adoration after her death from consumption. He transformed the chair that she would sit in during her Wednesday visits into an altar, kneeling before its flower-strewn seat three times a day reciting verses and praying in her honor. DeMarco characterizes Comte's behavior as blatant idolatry, yet to the protestant reader, this sounds exactly what Catholics do with the Virgin Mary, whom Protestants believe was merely a human being like any other (although used greatly by God) with an intrinsic sin nature.
This book is an important read for anyone who wants to understand where the Culture of Death originated and upon what ideas it's based upon today. It clearly demonstrates that the quickest way to gain membership into this club is to "murder God," and "create the fantasy of a new world" without Him. Far too many still choose this foolish course today.
Dancing with wolves. .......2007-01-15
In light of recent reviews, it may be helpful to begin by saying what this book is not about. It is not an apologia for large families. Neither is it an attack on socialism or a defense of such alleged "major" players in the spread of capitalism as El Salvador, Panama, and "Algiers." (The reviewer who suggests this is eloquent, though I think badly deficient in his history -- but this book is not a defense of what he attacks.)
Architects of the Culture of Death describes the lives, thoughts, and influence of 23 "great thinkers" who helped make our world. These include the famous -- Nietzche, Darwin, Marx, Sartre, Freud, Margaret Mead, Kinsey, "Dr. Death," Peter Singer -- the relatively unknown, and those somewhere in between (Ayn Rand, Margaret Sanger). What they share in common is they expanded on the intellectual and Promethian tendencies of the Enlightenment, attempted to reinvent human nature, usually had troubled (or frankly perverse) personal lives, and (the authors think) made the world a much worse place. Each chapter tells an individual story, usually rather sad, and draws a moral. The stories strung together are meant to show how Western civilization moved from a "pro-life" Christian perspective, to a perspective that diminishes and disfigures humanity, ending in abortion, infanticide, sexual loneliness, and of course the totalitarian regimes of the 20th Century. But most of the lines lead towards Western secularism.
The authors are not "morons" or "idiots," as the reviewer of apocalyptic temperment suggests. They are intelligent and informed, if sometimes simplistic. I'm not sure Darwin deserves the honor of being in the company of some of the deeply sinister folks who haunt these pages. De Marco and Wiker seem a bit more cautious and thoughtful than Paul Johnson in his scathing and not always fair Intellectuals, but never as profound as C. S. Lewis in his classic Abolition of Man, or as historically detailed as From Darwin to Hitler. But the territory covered is similar, and readers may find these books worthwhile too.
True, fools, madmen, and false Messiahs -- those Jesus called "wolves" -- are always with us. But there is a heart of darkness in the Enlightenment project that wars with whatever good once guided Western civilization out of its periodic madnesses, and bids (it seems at times) to snuff the light of humanity from our souls. You may disagree with the authors about the source of that darkness, or the nature of the Light. You may feel they preach too much. You may argue there are other threats to worry about, as there are. But clearly, overpopulation and greedy businessmen are not our deepest dangers; human nature itself may be up for grabs. It may take special courage for "progressives" to read these stories and honestly entertain whatever truth can be found in De Marco and Wiker's warnings. But for those willing to face such criticism, the rewards may be greatest. As Proverbs says, "he who regards reproof is prudent."
Welcome to Fantasy Island.......2006-06-15
It is truly disturbing to see books like this apologia for human behavior enter the reproductive arena of argument and try to come away with something positive to say about the population disaster awaiting us. The sad fact is that humans are rapidly overwhelming the earth's resources to the point that their numbers cannot be sustained. Culture of Death??? The only culture of death relevant to this nightmare is that such a point of view so incredibly ignorant is now being given the publishing light of day. Just perfect to give everyone yet another excuse to do nothing constructive, only destructive. Reproductive rights need to be limited, as do human numbers. A life without hope is indeed a culture of death and it is moronic, dillitante views like those in this book that only serve to perpetuate it. If these authors lived on Easter Island, it would have sunk into the ocean due to the overburdening weight of the existing, increasing human mass. Welcome to the end. Thank you, religious hacks, blinded authors, and the morass of idiots who believe that the world just needs a better management model to make things work. Please visit Mexico, India and Africa at your earliest opportunity to promote your thoughts, and, perhaps, get a glimpse of what awaits all of us if this scourge of increasing humanity is not remedied.
Brilliant and difficult.......2006-04-02
Well researched and intelligently presented, this book sheds light on the how's why's eugenics has had such a stranglehold on our society. This book also makes an excellent primer for those interested in the study of propaganda and its impact on the public. Truly unnerving on a number of levels and a very important read.
simply stunning and rather disturbing.......2006-01-21
as many have stated: this is one of the rare books the delves into the men (and women) behind our most coveted western ideas, ideals, thoughts and modern norms. As much as some might try to discredit it (i really can't think of any arguments), the overwhelming evidence they present doesn't leave space for second guessing. That been said, this is a truely disturbing book when we consider the amount of sever influence that comes from the various characters of the book, which are mainly of questionable mental status.
Book Description
In this memoir Morris Wyszogrod recounts his experiences from the time of the Nazi invasion of Poland to the liberation of the Theresienstadt concentration camp in 1945. He describes in detail the time he spent in the Warsaw Ghetto; his work as an artist for various Luftwaffe personnel at the Warsaw military airport; his experiences at the Budzyn concentration camp, where he was assigned to decorate the living quarters of the SS and to produce drawings at an orgiastic Oktoberfest; his removal to Plaszow, where he was put to work digging up mass graves and burning the bodies to eliminate the evidence of Nazi war crimes; his witnessing of the firebombing of Dresden in February 1945; and his subsequent liberation at Theresienstadt by the Red Army in May 1945. Just as an artist may register what she or he sees against a sensitive visual and moral template, so Wyszogrod doubly registered what he saw and felt, both in his drawings and in his memories.

Sensitivity and Brutality Combine For a Stunning Remembrance.......1999-12-26
This review is hardly unbiased. The author, Morris Wysogrod, a commerical artist by trade, is my cousin and quite truly, a hero of mine. Whenever I visit my Cousin Morris' apartment, I am greeted as soon as I step off the elevator with genuine warmth and enthusiasm. His smile, unbreaking and his conversation, always scintillating, I am amazed at his sincerity and good nature despite what he has witnessed and experienced as a Holocaust survivor.
His warmth and love for his fellow man is evident throughout his memoir. Morris provides a vivid look at pre-war Poland and the lives that were stolen from our families. And, much as he greets his guests with genuine warmth and affection today, he treats each character in his book with similar respect and reverence.
His memory is outstanding as he remembers the many personalities and every day people of his Warsaw youth, and later in the death camps. His descriptions are detailed and he suceeds in bringing out the special qualities of each character. This is so important because more often than not, the people he describes with such affection will soon be dead at the hands of the Nazis. Much of Holocaust literature refers to the millions who were massacred. Morris didn't know the millions but he pays beautiful homage to the hundreds who crossed his path.
From homage to carnage, Morris's story takes us into the Nazi occupation and his incarceration in several death camps. Similar to his skills in painting a picture of his pre-war youth, he is equally and shockingly vivid in his memories of the camps. The brutality, anguish, and sheer inhumanity he witnessed is brought to life as only a man of his artistic talents can do.
And in the midst of the brutality, there is the friendships, the shared moments, and the appreciation for his fellow prisoners that is necessary for the reader to grasp onto so that he or she may continue with the chilling chronicle of Morris' survival.
A Brush With Death has warmth, beauty and brutality. It is one of the many stories of the Holocaust experience, and one which I am confident will provide a unique perspective to the most horrific period in recorded history.
Graphic, Stirring Depiction of Holocaust.......1999-09-27
As a fellow survivor of the Warsaw Ghetto and the Budzyn concentration camp, I can attest the accuracy of the author's harrowing descriptions of his experiences.
I am amazed at the author's ability to recall so many details. He writes from the heart, without artifice. His spare drawings provide haunting illustrations of what words can't always describe on their own.
Read this book. You will be moved.

In his preface, Peter F. Drucker says: "These three books should enable executives — whether high up in the organization or just beginning their career
— to know the right things to do;
— to know how to do them; and
— to do them effectively.Together, these three books provide The Toolkit for Executive Action."
Drucker identifies and explains the practices, decisions and priorities for achieving business performance and executive effectiveness. These books cover "the three dimensions of the successful practice of management." Managing for Results was the first book to explain business strategy. Drucker shows how the existing business has to focus on opportunities rather than problems to be effective, for it is the opportunities that will bring growth and performance. Innovation and Entrepreneurship analyzes the challenges and opportunities of America's new entrepreneurial economy. It is a superbly practical book that explains what established businesses, public service institutions and new ventures have to know, learn and do to prepare and create the successful businesses of tomorrow. In The Effective Executive, Drucker discusses the five practices and habits that must be learned for executive effectiveness. Ranging widely through business and government, he demonstrates the distinctive skill of the executive and offers fresh insights into old and seemingly obvious situations. Together, these three books have sold more than a million copies; they have been published throughout the world and continue to sell actively. These are essential works for the executive and manager by "the dean of this country's business and management philosophers." —Wall Street Journal
