Tons of Info!!.......2003-02-24
I am a HUGE fan of Ewan McGregor, and this book really gives u the lowdown on this star. This book, although lacking in pictures compared to "ewan mcgregor-from junkie to jedi" makes up in it's writing. It is really written to keep u interested and puts the good and the bad in, which is important. Excellent book!

An interesting little book........1999-10-15
I'm enjoying this book but find that it's a bit too short and because it's written by an American author it has a US slant on it (e.g box office takings of films are all in dollars and release dates are different too). Otherwise, I find the little snippets of fun information about the films he's worked on very interesting.
A very good and interesting book.......1999-07-12
This is a really good book. It's very informative. Not only does it give information about Ewan but also about his movies which is nice when trying to convince one's mother to let them see a movie. It wasn't written in American english but not hard to read. It was a good book.
Not Bad.......1999-07-04
This is an awesome book with a lot of info for a small book. The draw back is the begining is hard to get into, the lack of photos and that fact that they're black and white, and that it's more about McGregor's movies, etc. instead of McGregor himself. Not great, not bad, but lots of info.
He is Hot.......1999-06-02
The book is good, but it isn't in American english so it can be a little funny, I wouldn't do a book reort on it ether it was hard.

Just what the doctor ordered.......2005-09-13
This book is a book of healing and encouragement. It gives the reader the comfort of knowing that what took place in their life was not their fault and that it can happen to anybody, ... but the idea is to bounce back and move on. Pastor Donnie has taken a very bold and couragous step to let it all out and share his pain, ... to reveal the glory of God's ability to heal and deliver us from our past. Glory to God on this one, because without Him, I doubt it very seriously if Pastor Donnie would have the victory to talk about nor would he have the heart to write about his situation. Thanks to our Father, The Lord God Jehovah and the Man of God, Pastor Donnie McClurkin for such an awesome book. Indeed we can be Victors reather than victims.

UNCOVERING DIFFERENT TRUTHS OF THE CHURCH.......2003-06-30
Eternal Victim / Eternal Victor is an awesome book.. I'm in the military and i had duty the night i began reading it.. I ended up reading it all before i got off work.. Through his book, he ministered to my heart.. The fact of the matter is that he spoke the truth.. He dwelled on all things that happen in our every day lives.. I was very impressed by this book, and i hope to read all of his other books.. Once again, i recommend this book for anyone and everyone..
Divine Intervention.......2002-09-15
I just happened to turn on the TV at the perfect time! Donnie
was speaking about his childhood abuse; I could not change the
channel. During his interview I learned about Eternal Victim/
Eternal Victor.
I ordered it and read it cover to cover right away! The book
expressed the torment I knew the man I love had been feeling
most of his life. We were estranged at the time. I prayed for
the courage to let him know that I knew of his childhood abuse.
I decided to let him know by letter and send him the
book. He called me the same day he received it.
His abuse had been something he had never been able to
tell me and I learned about it only through praying to know
and then having the Holy Spirit awaken me in the night to
tell me.
My deepest thanks to Donnie for his courage to write and to the
good Lord above for guiding Donnie to write and getting the book
in front of me. May God continue to bless and instruct him.
I have decided most of our social problems stem from abuse of
children. We do need churches to be more forthright about these
issues. Donnie McClurkin is blazing trails! Hallelujah!
Our homosexual society at least does deserve the right to know
that they are only living half the life they could and that Jesus
will heal all your hurts. Mainstream media has promoted
homosexuality without knowing, much less giving real options or
bibically based facts.
This book has changed our lives. I fully expect things to only
get better for us and all who will read it. I am a woman who
loves an abused child of yesteryear. I intend to stand with
him as his healing continues and he becomes the husband he never
thought he could be to me.

You Can Go To Hell Singing A Lie.......2005-02-13
In the lyrics of WE FALL DOWN BUT WE GET UP, he states "for a saint is just a sinner who fell down." This is a lie from the pit of hell. A saint is NOT a sinner. A sinner is a sinner. A saint is a child of God. If a saint falls into a sin, you can rest assured that he/she will repent immediately and TURN away from that sin and commit it to more. A sinner will continuously commit the same sin.
Another young man has been deceived by Satan is the song, GOD STILL HEARS A SINNER'S PRAYER. Satan knows that God does NOT hear a sinners prayer. His song may sound nice and fancy and make you want to clap your hands and snap your fingers, but the words are deceptive.
Please people, for the sake of your own soul, you must be careful what you allow into your spiritual ears and into your soul. Satan can look good and sound good, but he can't live right.

Book Description
KINGSPORT is a coastal town located a morning's stroll from Arkham. Draped in mists and fog, it is home to artists and fishermen, sailors and dreamers. Here dreams and reality mingle to an unsettling degree.
Some find solace in such dreams; others find only terror and death. Charles Baxter's dreams drove him to despair. He took his own life, throwing himself into the sea. The only clues to his demise: a water-soaked collection of poems.
Horrors exist in the real world of Kingsport as well, remnants of an ancient witch-cult that once infested the town. Unspeakable things crawl through their burrows beneath Central Hill and lurk in the fog off Jersey Reef, preying on fishermen and unsuspecting tourists alike.
Kingsport's soothing atmosphere and beautiful setting beckons to vacationers. Its perch on the brink of the dream-world inspires artists. Investigators come to Kingsport to find understanding of the dark realms of the Cthulhu Mythos.
H.P. Lovecraft's KINGSPORT describes this fabled Massachusetts town in meticulous detail-its important personalities, buildings, history, and its weird people and places. This book also features a fold-out players' map of the town, a tourist brochure describing places of interest, and three adventures with player aids for added realism and enjoyment.
Includes the H.P. Lovecraft short story "The Strange High House In The Mist" (1931)
New Layout
Fully compatible with both Call of Cthulhu from Chaosium Inc. and Call of Cthulhu d20.
Part of our expanding 1920's Lovecraft Country line.
This book contains material previously published as Kingsport: City in the Mists (1991), long out of print.

Kingsport: A City Revealed.......2007-01-04
This book is perfect for create any adventure you wuold like to set in Kingsport.
Here you find all the information you need: people, buildings, legends, maps, and so on.
A well-written and evocative sourcebook.......2005-03-19
Lovecraft is, I think, best known for his adjectives. More than Cthulhu, even than the Necronomicon, Lovecraft distinguishes himself by a flood of adjectival description for every object, person, landscape, and sensation. The effect is hypnotic, causing the reader to feel immersed in the actual location. I have always thought of Dunwich's adjectives as grubby, ramshackle, and decayed; for Arkaham, I think of dark, secretive, ancient, and haunted. After reading the Kingsport sourcebook, I have an even stronger feel for that location: quiet, contemplative, shrouded in mystery. The rhythm of wave and tide pacing the flow of time from one generation to the next. The ubiquitous mists sheltering the town from the march of progress, allowing memories to accumulate. It seems like the perfect location for an ancient mystery to resurface.
One excellent aspect of the Lovecraft country books is the inclusion of at least some of Lovecraft's original stories dealing with the town - that is why we're here, after all. Kingsport's stories are "The Strange High House in the Mist" and "The Festival". I would have also liked to see the inlcusion of "The Terrible Old Man" as well as "The White Ship", but that might conceivably be giving away too much.
There follows some short sections on what life is like in Kingsport, the history of the town, and the low-down on the local cult (which I thought was pretty good). Afterwards is the standard breakdown of the locale into neighborhoods/regions. Each section lists any interesting residents, locations, and any useful items or information located there. I find this to be an excellent inspiration for ideas. If you are not completely into one-shots, an excellent long-term idea would be just to explore the town, investigating history and mystery. I know that my gaming group actually likes this sort of thing better than epic quests and whatnot. I also really like the town directory, sorting people, places and things into categories for easy reference with their page number.
About half of the book is scenarios. There is a short section on how to use character dreams during gameplay and then 3 scenarios. I really can't say much about them without being a spoiler. I can say that "Dead in the Water" has a lot of material and looks very intense and draws out many of the unique characteristics of Kingsport.
Kingsport.......2003-10-06
I have already the Arkham book, with plans to soon purchase HP Lovecraft's Dunwich, but I have to say I absolutely love HP Lovecraft's Kingsport. It is fll of interesting descriptions, characters, and adventures, as well as a facinating cult that could easily center in a campaign. If there is one thing I do find annoying about this book, it is its size (not very large), but it was still easily worth my money. And one complement I have to give it is that it has finally found a way to drive away those omnipresent ghouls.
All in all, it is a very good book, that portrays a very creepy little town, with enough horror in it to drive more than one investigator mad...

Good Gems.......2007-07-21
This book has some good gems in terms of dealing with the challenges of being a CEO. It comes from a place of knowledge unlike several more academic business books.
I liked this book and recently finished another book that I think is also an excellent CEO primer and tool-kit for CEOs called, "Kiss Theory Good Bye" by Bob Prosen. It was published last year and offers some very actionable takeaways in each chapter as well.
CEO Logic.......2007-01-04
This is a great primer for a new CEO...someone in a small company moving into the role because of being a top producer or maybe by buying in but has never had any serious management experience. It is an easy read, and because of that, doesn't have a lot of depth. However, if the new CEO has what it takes to grow into the job, this book should spark an interest to acquire more knowledge.
Understand What is Important to the CEO and Your Career.......2006-12-31
A lot of times when a person starts out at an entry level job, he sees only his direct working environment but sometimes doesn't understand why certain departments or people have priorities over others. CEO Logic is a great reference for those who want to understand what goes on or should go on in the CEO's mind.
I highly recommend it to a new or young CEO to understand what their priorities should be and how to handle them accordingly. Some of the questions answered:
Why is it so imiportant to have and operate a company by a set of principles?
Why is it so important to have an open dialogue with workers and staff in a non-threatening environment?
Why is cash flow so important?
These and many other questions are posed to provoke the reader to think and most of the answers are used in real life examples of CEOs who have either made the mistake and corrected it or those who belong to the business obituaries page. The book is broken down into 4 parts with 19 Chapters:
Part 1: The Foundation
Ch1: Thinking Like a CEO
Ch2: Planning Strategy and Making Decisions
Part 2: Manageing Organizations and Execution Discipline
Ch3: Business Operations Plannning: Define the Risks Worth Taking
Ch4: People Management: Never Try to Teach a Pig to Think
Ch5: Career Management: Control Your Own Desitny
Ch6: Sales: Keep it Simple and Understand it Completely
Ch7: Numbers: Don't be Fooled by the "Accounting"
Part3: Cash, Crisis and Opportunity
Ch8: Banking: Master Their Rules
Ch9: Cash Management: Keep the Lifeblood Flowing
Ch10: Tough Times and Turnarounds: Match the Cure to the Illness
Ch11: Acquisitions: Don't Bujy it if You Can't Improve it
Part4: Character, Ethics, Communication and Wisdom
Ch12: Leadership: Nothing Mystical, Nothing Magical
Ch13: Secrets: Wit and Wisdom from the Trenches
Ch14: Final Thoughts: Simple Truths from Great Compelexities
CEO Logic: How to Think and Act like a Chief Executive by C. Ray Johnson........2005-07-12
The reason I read this book is that I wanted to learn to be an effective chief executive officer (CEO) and how CEOs think and make decisions, as I aspire to be one in the next two to three years.
CEO Logic provides a wide perspective about the challenges of being at the top of an organisation. C. Ray Johnson provides the knowledge of how to rise to the top of an organisation; how to think like a successful CEO, how to run an organisation successfully and how to turn a faltering organisation around from a loss making company, to a profitable entity, among other interesting topics.
CEO Logic explains what drives the actions of successful CEOs. It explains how to think clearly and perceive the fundamental management issues that influence business decisions and the habits of mind needed to achieve success in business.
The book gives an exposition of the foundations of business success, development of a business philosophy that works, and the strategic application of that philosophy in an organisation. CEO Logic teaches the operating disciplines required to establish and grow a business.
What I particularly liked in the book was the information on how a CEO can effect a turnaround. Ray Johnson provides, in chapter 10 of CEO Logic, ten steps of turning an organisation around. Based on the ten steps, those responsible for changing the fortunes of a company have an excellent blue print they can rely upon.
The REAL DEAL!! A Guide for becoming a "Level 5" manager.......2002-04-16
As the back cover of this book says, go ahead, read those other books by high-profile celebrity CEOs to get motivated. Then read this book to see HOW it is done. I say, skip the celebrity CEO du jour books, and go straight to this 5-star book for "Level 5" people.
This is a clear, consise, and exceptionally well proofread and published book (not one error in this book - as opposed to Moore's Crossing the Chasm - a terrible proofreading job). C. Ray Johnson cuts to the chase as to just what and how an effective CEO does and conducts him/herself, and in so doing convinces the reader quickly that anyone has the capacity to do pursue the principles of CEO logic if they really have the will and desire.
Johnson's incredibly clear early chapters lay out the effective CEO melds business understanding with personal principles. From there he goes through each aspect of key business functions and uses his CEO Logic approach for the right direction in each. His chapter on turnaround management is great.
Another very important note, this book and Jim Collins' Good to Great compliment each other. Collins makes the key point early on that companies that go from good to great are rarely run by celebrity big-ego CEOs brought in from the outside, but are instead run by generally quiet, unassuming people who are nevertheless deeply rooted in their convictions and desire to be great and have a winning team working with them. This is what Collins refers to as a "Level 5" leader.
You can think of Johnson's book as a primer on how a Level 5 leader conducts business and takes on leadership. Buy both books! You'll be glad you did. And, while you are at it, leave the self-aggrandizing celcb CEO books on the shelf ;-)
