André Bazin is a great film critic and essayist, arguably the best France ever produced. His impact on the international cinema was monumental and continues to be felt today. He popularized the auteur theory, the idea that directors were the authors of their films. He was one of the first to take American "B"" movie genres, such as Westerns and films noir, seriously. He waxed eloquently on the Italian neorealist movement of the late '40s and '50s and inspired the "New Wave" of French directors, many of whom wrote for the journal he founded and edited, the legendary Cahiers du Cinema. François Truffaut dedicated The 400 Blows to him.
Bazin had a keen eye for cinematic detail and technique, but was also one of the cinema's great sociologists, psychologists, and historians. Volume two of What Is Cinema? collects some of his most characteristic writings. It contains essays on the aesthetic of neorealism; individual neorealist films by Vittorio De Sica, Roberto Rossellini, and Federico Fellini; the brilliance of Charlie Chaplin; and the mythmaking qualities of the Western. The volume ends with an appreciation of the great Jean Gabin and three essays on sex in the movies, including the delightful "Entomology of the Pin-Up Girl." Bazin's essays are short, smoothly written, revelatory, and filled with remarkable insights and a profound love for his subject.
Book Description
André Bazin's What Is Cinema? (volumes I and II) have been classics of film studies for as long as they've been available and are considered the gold standard in the field of film criticism. Although Bazin made no films, his name has been one of the most important in French cinema since World War II. He was co-founder of the influential Cahiers du Cinéma, which under his leadership became one of the world's most distinguished publications. Championing the films of Jean Renoir (who contributed a short foreword to Volume I), Orson Welles, and Roberto Rossellini, he became the protégé of François Truffaut, who honors him touchingly in his forword to Volume II. This new edition includes graceful forewords to each volume by Bazin scholar and biographer Dudley Andrew, who reconsiders Bazin and his place in contemporary film study. The essays themselves are erudite but always accessible, intellectual, and stimulating. As Renoir puts it, the essays of Bazin "will survive even if the cinema does not."

A must for any lover cinema!.......2004-08-25
Andre Bazin was the most powerful mind and one of the deepest thinkers , creator of the famous Cahiers du cinema , these were passionate and interesting digest who meet to famous and youth film makers and very valuable people related with this art.
Bazin goes to the origins of the cinema his meaning and implications in the psiquis and its mythical roots , Bazin death (40) was a painful loss for the raising french directors in 1957 .
When you get The 400 blows of Francois Truffaut (The quintessential New Wave film) in the initial titles you will watch the special hommage to Bazin in memoriam .
You may consider several mistakes in the traduction , when this happens remember the chinese statement: All traduction is a betray.
Try to get a spanish edition . I have both of them since I have not been able to get the french edition.
Significant work - atrocious translation.......2000-12-04
André Bazin was one of the most important writers on film. His views have been influential worldwide. The term Bazinian realism has become one of the major theoretical categories in film studies. The impact of Bazin's work on English-language film studies has been generated, to a large degree, by this two-volume collection of essays. A number of major debates that have been going round for years now (decades actually) in English language works center on issues arising from these essays; e.g. the relation between objects and their photographs. However it must be stressed that these English language essays are re-workings by their "translator" rather than faithful renderings of the originals. Hugh Gray, the translator, not only chose some of the essays from the original French editions but also treated them with great liberty. Sentences and footnotes are missing, others are combined without reason; expressions are made more "flowery"; and meanings are changed. I cannot tell whether the translator was not up to the task of doing this job properly or he decided to mistreat his subject to such a degree consciously. In any case it is a great pity that Bazin's work is available in English only in this unfortunate form.
The original woks deserve 5 stars; it is impossible to decide how to rate this particular version.
What Is Cinema?.......2000-06-29
What is Cinema? Volume One and What is Cinema Volume 2 are English translations drawn from the original French four-volume work. They are not the entire four-volume work, but include some of the more important essays. In France itself, the four-volume work was later boiled to a one-volume set of selections. This French version was later used for the selections in the Spanish and Portuguese versions. The Italian version is different from the others, but also drawn from the four-volume work. Much of the four-volume original French work that has been omitted from the English What is Cinema? volumes I and II can be found in Cardullo's more recent collection "Bazin at Work."
Since Bazin's passing, film theory ventured more deeply into such things as semiotics, Freudian and Lacanian analyses, and sociological/Marxist perspectives. However, Bazin was one of the first and arguably most important writers to take film discourse beyond the "funny" "sexy" "scary" level. Some of the places film discourse has gone since the time of Bazin would be difficult or impossible for an unitiated person to comprehend. This is not so with Bazin, a man who also did such things as take Charlie Chaplin films to show at factories during lunch hour.
Although Bazin passed away more than 40 years ago, he remains relevant even if his writings have been subject to some critical analysis from writers like Brian Henderson and Noel Carroll. Moreover, in reading Bazin, one often has moments of recognition that are applicable to more recent things in the theatres; for example, a remark Bazin makes about Marilyn Monroe's skirt flying up is pertinent to discussion of the Austin Powers films, Bazin's remarks about such things as films about arctic expeditions, bullfighting documentaries, or films of Chinese executions may have a certain relevance in talking about the phenomenon of "The Blair Witch Project" . . .
Book Description
André Bazin's impact on film art is widely considered to be greater than that of many directors, actors, and producers. He is credited with almost single-handedly establishing the study of film as an accepted intellectual pursuit. Updating the paperback edition of 1977, Dudley Andrew has written a completely new introduction and provided an additional essay by Jean-Charles Tacchella.

A splendid biography about the genius of Kenosha!.......2007-09-28
Andre Bazin died pitifully months after having being released "Touch of evil" , but the impressive documentation effort , the conscientious analysis around the previous films of the prodigal son of Wisconsin, the forewords of Truffaut, make of this book a true artistic worthy to have it and reread it over and over.
Don't miss it!
Orson Welles and Magic.......2007-07-01
I have always been a fan of Orson Welles on radio and television. Having collected a ton of radio broadcasts on CD and audio cassette and having watched most of his movies, I appreciate the genius of his work. I picked up a copy of this book recently and am amazed at the amount of research put into it. An aspect of Welles rarely discussed is his magic career. At the Mid-Atlantic Nostalgia Convention this September in Aberdeen, Maryland, I plan to attend the presentation about Orson Welles and his magic career so I can watch rare footage and films with Welles, and get an even deeper insight to his trickery. Book comes recommended.

Fundamental text for all who love Jean Renoir craft!.......2004-10-31
Andre Bazin makes a meticuluous and extraordinary analysis around the entire filmography of this famous filmmaker .
There are many issues to know and we have to miss the fact Andre Bazin jus only lived forty years .
But in Francois Truffaut words , this is the most complete book about the greatest french filmmaker in the century .
In my personal opinion only two directors overpasses him in this order: Robert Bresson and Marcel Carne.
Book Description
AndrDe Bazin's impact on film art, as theorist and critic, is widely considered to be greater than that of any single director, actor, or producer. He is credited with almost single-handedly establishing the study of film as an accepted intellectual pursuit, as well as with being the spiritual father of the French New Wave. Unlike nearly all the other authors of major film theories, he was a working or practical critic who wrote regularly about individual films.
Bazin at Work represents the first collection in English of disparate writings of Bazin'ssince the appearance of the second volume of What Is Cinema? in 1971. It includes work from, among other places, Cahiers le cinema (which he founded and which is the most influential single critical periodical in the history of the cinema) and Esprit. He addresses film makers including Rossellini, Eisenstein, Pagnol, and Capra and well-known films including La Strada, Citizen Kane, Scarface, and The Bridge on the River Kwai.

Ukulele Heaven by Ian Whitcomb-- ukulele songbook and CD.......2006-12-21
Ian Whitcomb along with Jim Beloff and Tiny Tim are the men behind the current ukulele revival. Most people are not familiar with a lot of these songs such as "Where Did Robinsin Crusoe Go with Friday on Saturday Night?" so the included CD of these hit songs from the past is instructional as well as entertaining. Ian like a lot of entertainers is from England where they recognise the merit of American Tin Pan Alley music to a greater degree than is the case here. The songs in this book are great for perfomers in talent shows as well as for private strumming and will have you looking for more from the early 20th century. Highly recommended.
Book Description
From royal and suppressed archives comes documented proof of the heritage of Jesus in the West and the long awaited discovery of the Holy Grail. In fulfilling this time-honored quest, penetrating new light is cast upon the Grail Code of Service and the venerated feminine element, upheld in chivalry but forsaken by the Church in order to forge a male dominated society.
This unique work offers revelatory insight concerning the descendant heirs of Jesus and his brother James while, in documenting a hidden legacy of the Messiah, it unveils hitherto guarded facts about characters such as Mary Magdalene and Joseph of Arimathea. Tracing the sacred lineage through centuries of persecution and Inquisition,
Bloodline of the Holy Grail reveals a systematic suppression of authentic records and a strategic manipulation of the New Testament Gospels.
Featuring all the charm and adventure of Arthurial romance, coupled with enthralling Rosicrucian and Templar disclosures, this extraordinary work has a cutting edge of intrigue that removes the established blanket of enigma to expose one of the greatest conspiracies ever told.

One-Trick Pony.......2006-03-28
Satan is a one-trick pony... he mixes lies with truth. The Bible calls him the Father of Lies. And if he really exists and has been around for as along as he has... he must be pretty darn good at it by now. Yes its true that Jesus is the Son of God, everything else in this fairy tale is a convenient "fact". Anyone can just throw "facts" out there but I challenge this author to provide as much fact as Lee Strobel does in "A Case for Christ". "But if you give them a hard time, bullying or taking advantage of their (Christians) simple trust, you'll soon wish you hadn't. You'd be better off dropped in the middle of the lake with a millstone around your neck." I'll give you three guesses who said that.
The Who's Who of the biblical world ...........2006-02-24
This book is not an easy read. It does take some brain thought or you will be lost. Although I did find it very interesting and factual. I would pass it onto those who take the bible as the 'only' word. This book shows that there is other documentation out there and the author has done his homework. A must read for those who want to know more about who's who in the bible.
Bloodline of the Holy Grail.......2006-01-18
Laurence Gardner has written a wonderful book which opens a whole new perspective on the Holy Grail and the bloodline. This book along with HRH Prince Michaels of Albany's work has sturred me to dig deeper into our family geneology. What I have discovered has certainly changed my perspectives on life.
I personally do not have opinions on what a person's religious beliefs are, that is for them to decide. What the revelations as well as the historical proof has rejuvenated my ancestral awareness and a new way of living life.
I would recommend this book to anyone who has been seeking their very connection with their own spiritual and religious awareness.
How A Book Can Change Lives.......2005-12-16
I read "Bloodline of the Holy Grail" and found familiar family names published in the geneology charts. That awakened a deep curiosity that led to a lifelong quest for the truth about my own heritage, and this changed my life forever. My journey led me to Kashmir to do an in-depth study of "Jesus in India." Now, having read "The Magdalene Legacy" I still want to know more. Mr. Gardner is a powerful writer who does extensive research, and his books will alter many more lives well into the future. Few books can have such powerful impact on history and on changing lives. His may be the books that actually change yours too. What greater testament to an author's impact than this?
A Real Joy.......2005-09-07
as a seeker of truth on the meaning of life,I find this book confirms many of the things I found and gives a clearer picture of the "Christian Philosophy" I believe Jesus was a "Son of God" like many others. He was not the only one to achieve the "oneness". My "God" is the infinite creator of the cosmos, which is still being created. This creator does NOT
write books, sire children, answer prayers or speak to people, and does not need or heed our supplications. The soul is infinite and must through many incarnations reach that oneness. This book cleary supports that Jesus was a man created like the rest of us and achieved that oneness. thank you Mr Gardner
Book Description
Did Jesus marry and have children? If so, what happened to his family? Are descendants of his still alive today?
Seventeen years ago the world-wide best-seller, The Holy Blood and The Holy Grail made a number of controversial speculations about a "Messianic lineage." Yet the authors could offer no real proof since their access to relevant source material was restricted. At last the truth can be told!
This extraordinary and controversial book, packed with intrigue, begins where others have ended. Sir Laurence Gardner has been granted privileged access to European Sovereign and Nobel archives, along with favored insight into chivalric and Church repositories. He proves for the first time that there is a royal heritage of the Messiah in the West, and documents the systematic and continuing suppression of records tracing the descendent of the sacred lineage by regimes down the centuries.
This unique book, lavishly illustrated in full-color throughout, gives detailed genealogical account of the authentic line of succession of the Blood Royal from the sons of Jesus and his brother James down to the present day.

Definitive Text.......2004-03-31
Firstly I consider this book to the definitive text on the topic of the bloodline of Jesus. Having read other books on the topic I have found them wanting either in information or clarity. The last book I read was Holy Blood Holy grail by Baigent which I found to be satisfactory but frequently annoying in its repetition of the same rhetoric. Also the information was all there but so difficult to read which takes alot of the fun out of the topic.
Gardner's book however is the ideal resource for this topic. The dogma is clearly articulated and the style of writing begs your attention. After reading, you get a clear picture of what the gnostic gospels offer and why they were omitted from cannonisation. The secrets of the templar Knights is also exposed but most importantly is the appocryphical portrayal of the true relation of Jesus with his disciples and especially Mary Magdalene with its resultant outcome. Interstingly ita lso goes in depth into the myths surrounding the crucifixion and the miracles of the historical jesus.
THE DESPOSYNI vindicated, Rome indicted.......2003-11-07
A most special thanks goes out to Sir Laurence Gardner for making
known to the public the suppressed history of THE DESPOSYNI
which is the HOLY GRAIL who pose a threat to both the legitimacy
of Imperial Rome & the legitimacy of the Church of Rome and has
been deliberately selectively excluded from church & school. Again, Sir Laurence, thank you for making known this suppressed
history of THE DESPOSYNI/THE HOLY GRAIL. Through your research
and making public what you discovered vindicates THE DESPOSYNI/
THE HOLY GRAIL and indictes Rome. --Gregory Thompson (MacTavish)
A fascinating jigsaw puzzle of a book..........2003-09-18
Given the centuries of death, misery & suffering brought about by the various petty squabbles over who's guess at what the gospels really mean, it is truly refreshing to see a book that uses the gospels (ALL of the gospels, particularly the Apocrypha and the Dead Sea Scrolls), related historical records, and established timelines to mesh these tales together in a way that makes FAR more sense than what so many have been indoctrinated with for hundreds and hundreds of years.
If you are a Christian, and you're comfortable understanding your particular sect's interpretation, then I would recommend that you NOT read this book; however, if you're Christian and a lot of what you've been taught just never seemed to make much sense, then you NEED to read this book.
It contains some truly amazing revelations; many based on facts and lineages, but other conjecturized based on cross-referencing other historical documents.
- Who was Moses, and why are there no records of Hebrew slaves in the Egyptian records?
- Could there have been less than miraculous explanations behind the virgin birth, turning water to wine, the loaves & fishes, walking on water and the ressurection itself?
- How important is the divinity of Jesus, compared to his teachings, actions and influence?
You won't find THE answers in here, but there are very PLAUSIBLE answers; far more than a simple "and God made it so" (the literary equivalent of 'we'll figure this out later').
Welcome to the truth, at last revealed from centuries of deliberate church suppression. Based partly on actual writings from the days of Jesus Christ himself; you can be appalled or you can be astonished, but it will make you think either way. Unlike "Holy Blood, Holy Grail", which covers similar concepts, but focuses on the validation of a specific modern-day claim to the 'throne' by using some very questionable sources, "Bloodline..." approaches the subject matter with far less bias.
It's truly a marvelous jigsaw puzzle that ends up looking very little like the picture on the box, or at least what you thought the picture looked like when you started... which is only a problem if you wanted everything to look like you expected it to when you started. In fact, if that's the case, what's the point of reading at all? *****/*****
Gal. 1 :6-10 " false gospel".......2002-07-12
The Bible teaches that in the later days men will be "lovers of themselves" ... They will be "seduced" and "deceived" into "another Gospel".
They will have itching ears ...
Why? Because man is rebellious; and man doesn't want a Creator who is above them. If GOD is real, then they have to worship HIM. And they only want to worship the false gods of their own making ... and celebrities ...
The other Gospel is one that ursurps Jesus ... It makes HIM fully human; and not God-Man ...
These grail books and Morogvian dynasty books all are gnostic in origin ... and had better be read with much care. GOD says in the last days HE WILL let fall on man a delusion that if it were posible the VERY elect would be deceived ... I believe that we are in the time of the delusion.
I believe that an 'angel of light' IS preaching a gospel that man likes.
Jesus is GOD; and if you don't worship HIM now ... someday you will fall before HIM .... and it may be too late for you!
Lets bring back the House of Stuart ... Not!.......2002-01-03
While Gardiner's theories on Jesus' life are nothing new (see Schonfield, Maccoby, etc.), he falls down on the substantiation of his own theories and geneologies. Basically this book seems to be a vehicle for the reinstatement of the House of Stuart to the throne, either of England, Scotland, or both. British history seems to have been glossed over somewhat in favour of the Stuarts, 100 years of history integral to this book seem to have been condensed to 6 pages. Sorry, but Gardiner doesn't seem to recognise the irony in lamenting the deposition of the Stuart monarchs by "undemocratic" governments and abhoring the Act of Settlement which restricts the religion of the monarch of Great Britain, but all the while supporting the reinstatement of an undemocratically elected head of state.

Vampire series that focuses on the refinements and abuses of undead blood. BUT WHAT IS ITS PURPOSE?.......2007-07-26
I think it's reasonable for there to be some confusion among players and storytellers about what is the purpose of BLOODLINES: THE HIDDEN. Some will see it as a player's aid, with additional character types and powers. Some will see it as a storyteller's aid, with additional bad guys to choose from. The problem I have with BLOODLINES is that it breaks the setting. A vampire belonging to a Bloodline should be an unusual thing. It should be even more rare for a vampire to join a bloodline, since even a large city has at most twenty or so vampires and they cannot (or with great difficulty) travel between cities. So how are all these bloodlines going to appear in your story? If the players want to join a bloodline, they know ahead of time that it will be unlikely within the story, so they probably will choose one at character generation. Then, you have the problem of how all these rare breeds of vampire happened to show up at the same time.
All of this can be handled with some setting tweaks; I personally go with every vampire having a bloodline, so they are not rare, but it doesn't get expressed unless the player wants to join. Still, a player might not want to buy this book if the storyteller doesn't want bloodlines for all.
In the end, I view BLOODLINES as more of a collection of story hooks rather than character options. Each bloodline has a unique story, another creepy look into life after death. I enjoyed reading the vampire bios, but I would not have felt I received enough value if I paid the sticker price. The bloodlines here are as follows:
-Alucinor (Mekhet) have the power over dreams
-Anvari (Daeva) the power to induce a drugged state in others
-Architects of the Monolith (Ventrue) power over cities; insane
-Bohagande (Gangrel) power to steal good luck and bestow bad
-Gethsemani (Nosferatu) power to induce stigmata, yielding powerful blood
-Khabit (Mekhet) power over shadows
-Morotrophians (Nosferatu) power over the institutions they lock themselves
into
-Nahualli (Ventrue) power over the beast
-Nelapsi (Daeva) nice devotions, but require 1 vitae PER BP to rise each day!
-Oberlochs (Gangrel) they age as normal humans but don't die
-Quedeshah (Mekhet) women only vampires who use their bodies to heal
-Rakshasa (Nosferatu) Indian vampires, with some interesting discussion on the organization of vampires in India.
The Better of the Bloodlines.......2006-10-12
Well Whitewolf disappointed me in Bloodlines:The Legendary, which didn't present anything too legendary (see my other review of that title for the real legendary bloodlines). However this book is the better of the two. A few of the Bloodlines are a little rediculous like the Alucinor(dream Vampires)and the Qedeshah(female vampires who almost seem like healers) he rest of the book is golden. Among my top ten favorite Bloodlines this book offers four of them.
The Bohagande: Gangrel who have the ability to basically ruin the luck of those who run a foul of them. They have a native american spin put on them. I like them because honestly the Gangrel and the Nosferatu seem to get the short end of the stick on bloodlines and well, just reading about these Gangrel intrigued me and gave me ALOT of ideas for my chronicles.
Morotrophians: The best way to think of these Nosferatu is like a whole group of qwack surgeons, Doctors, nurses aides, Orderlies, and prison guards. They like the whole idea of being in control of the power structure of whatever area these Haunts haunt (haha, pun intended, unfortunetly. Once again these guys gave me some great ideas, and there disciplines also are very unique. While useless out in the open, but behind closed doors these disciplines can be very dangerous. While perhaps not the best character for a player, the Morotrphians to make wonderful allies or antagonists.
Oberlochs: Not much to say for them. However I will let the reader use there imagination and say some words, just combine them, and here are the words: Hill Billy, Deliverence, Vampire, Gangrel, Mid-west.
The funny thing about Oberlochs is that they seem to know more about Were-wolves then they do about vampires......
Rakshasa: Where as the Burakumin are japanese Nosferatu, these haunts are Indian. I like these guys because they put a more global touch on vampire. They are basically deal brokers, and warriors. Who really don't belong to any covenent due to there strange and foregin ways.
All in all Bloodlines:The Hidden is an excellent book, plenty of ideas for allies, antagonists, and players! the only thing that stops the book from getting a 5 is the lack of balance of making bloodlines equal (as in the total number) in the book
A Cavalcade of The Grotesque.......2006-01-30
I have been consistently impressed with the new "World of Darkness" setting, especially with its customizability. A series of "Bloodlines" books seemed like the perfect solution to the otherwise unimpressive and thin selection of Clans in "Vampire: The Requiem." Unfortunately, "Bloodlines: The Hidden" can be divided into two general groups: the first is a series of repulsive, nauseating Bloodlines (The Anvari, The Gethsemani, The Morotrophians, and The Nahualli), each more unpleasant and disgusting than the last; the second is a series of unimaginative and unoriginal lineages (The Alucinor, The Nelapsi, The Qedeshah and the Bohagande).
There are a few Bloodlines worthy of note:
-The "Rakshasa" are a breed of ill-tempered Nosferatu warriors from India; characterized as demons in the subcontinent, they value hard work and discipline in all areas of...er...un-life.
-The "Oberlochs" are a line of insular Gangrels tied to a particular mortal family, who challenge Werewolves for dominion over the wilderness; unfortunately, they age physically like normal human beings.
-The "Architects of the Monolith" are a genuinely fascinating and original Ventrue Bloodline, a Victorian-style secret society whose mystical, architectural rites give them power over cities.
Other tribes, such as the Bohagande and the Khaibit, are interesting and seem like they might be fun to play; however they are too derivative of concepts from "Vampire: The Masquerade" (The Ravnos, and the Assamites & Lasombra respectively), without retaining what made the original models so intriguing.
Overall, the book is a mixed bag. Were all the Bloodlines as compelling as the three I have described above, the book could easily have earned 5 Stars. What few gems it contains however cannot justify it's price, and I would recommend this as a "must-have" only to die-hard players and readers. Let us hope that subsequent entries in the "Bloodlines" series will be more original and less grotesque.
HA!.......2006-01-10
I will say this much, when the new World of Darkness hit the shelves, I was quite the skeptic. I didn't like the system rules, the layout, the look, the feel, nor the fact that 13 clans of vampires were reduced to a measly FIVE! But then I explored more. When I saw Bloodlines: The Hidden, along with a few other source books, namely the VII book, Ordo Dracul, and Lancea Sanctum, I was hooked. Bloodlines: The Legendary expands out and gives you the possibility to run games using the "bloodlines" as they are meant to be, off shoots from specific clans, or it gives you the freedom to run them as actual clans. In particular, the Bohagande are one of my favorite bloodlines. They are bred from Gangrel blood and the story behind them is just amazing. Each story is in depth and most of the bloodlines have all new disciplines to mess people up with. The Khabit have Obetenebration, which I am very happy to see back in the mix from the old World of Darkness that followed Caine, Lilith, and The Crone. This is a great addition to the collection of new WoD, regardless of what most people would say. White Wolf may come out with a new source book every month or so, but they know how to market and they know how to get you. That's not bad business, it's excellent marketing. If you need or want anything for your game, get this book. Personally, I can't wait until Bloodlines: The Legendary comes out. If it's even half as good as this one it will be worth it.
An excellent supplement...........2005-04-30
I've got to admit, I was blown away by the Bloodlines book. While White Wolf spoke about streamlining its titles and trying to stay away from too many Vampire clans (or bloodlines), they released this. I was hopeful though and was not disappointed.
The book covers 12 different bloodlines from the 5 original clans from the Vampire: The Requiem corebook (needed if you buy this book). Each bloodline gains a second weakness from the original clan when joining the bloodline and some, but not all, have new disciplines. Each bloodline is interesting and not overly powerful. They all have their own histories and unique quirks about them that make them all that more appealing. Such as the Qedeshah which believe it is their duty to sire more vampires which puts them at odds with the local princes. However, their discipline allows for sanctuaries, protection, and such, that also makes them sought after by princes.
All in all I'm very happy with the book and look forward to the next release, Bloodlines: The Legendary, which I will hope rivals, if not surpasses this quality book.
