Blows Away Many Other Books With Its Clear and Comprehensive Take on the Case for Murder in the Death of Marilyn .......2007-03-19
After researching and reading many, many books attempting to explain the extremely complex and perplexing events surrounding the death of Marilyn, Matthew Smith's book presents a very detailed and well researched account weaving together the many threads in Marilyn's life with sobering logic. The book takes the reader on a journey through Marilyn's personal and business relationships, as well as the motives of those who sought to use her toward their own ends. It reads like a terrific mystery novel and like the pieces of a puzzle, comes to a unique and logical conclusion as to "who did it".
The only piece missing is the newest evidence, which came after the publication of this book, of the release of the secret CIA file on Marilyn Monroe. This new information through, only strengthens Mr. Smith's case that rogue agents of the CIA had a hand in her murder, as to publically embarrass the Kennedy brothers and force their resignations from public office (many other authors place the Kennedys as the main orchestrators of her death - a claim that never factually made sense). When one looks at the convergence of political struggles during the early 1960's and the many players including J. Edgar Hoover, Sam Giancana, Jimmy Hoffa, the Kennedy's, the CIA, the military industrial complex, etc., Mr Smith's logical conclusion makes the most sense.
Unfortunately, for Marilyn, she inadvertently got herself personally caught up the biggest political mess of the last 75 years and paid for it with her life. Because the perpetrators failed to nail the Kennedy's for her murder because of an amazing public relations campaign from 20th Century Fox studios buying the Kennedy's time to cover their behinds, it ultimately backfired on the Kennedy's and they all ended up dead as well. So if Marilyn had somehow lived, American history would be dramatically different.
Bravo, Mr. Smith on your crusade to get to the truth of Marilyn's murder.

An attempt to cash in .......2005-12-15
I have read many books about the life and the death of Marilyn Monroe, so when this "revealing" new book came out, I wanted to see what it had to say. What I found was trashy, questionable material. I was wary right away, after reading the Acknowledgements section, where the author gives a large amount of thanks and credit to two people who appear as sources in many Marilyn bios, both of whom have been completely discredited by other (more believable) biographers. They barely even knew the woman, and have spent the years since her death trying to cash in on her memory. The fact that the author relied on these people told me that the material in the book was going to be questionable at best. After reading the entire book, I was left feeling very sad that Marilyn has been exploited yet again. If you want to read a real biography of Marilyn Monroe, I recommend "Marilyn Monroe: The Biography" by Donald Spoto.

Awesome walkthrough in terms of the game; does give a lot of heads up information that becomes critical, but given the content of the game, it is alot to read! Also includes awesome artwork and pics from the game, full area maps and previous gamer advice. To find EVERYTHING, I suggest picking up a copy of this.
MISPRINTS!!!.......2007-04-07
You're not gonna find a better guide than this, but there are a couple annoying misprints I've caught.
1. The info for Lightning Gems & Lightning Crystals is swapped.
2. Crystals canNOT be bought at Moogle Shops, no matter how many you get. (I have 156 Blazing Crystals, and have never been able to purchase them.) There's also not a slot for accomplishing this on the Synthesis's "Lists," furthering suggesting it's impossible.

It helped dramatically and I found it to be really well done and very helpful in explaining the different cards and what they truly did....... Also its a good thing to have when deciding on going through the game and what world cards to use....although I was already half way through with the game when I had it.....It was still nice and helped me with my other half decisions....

The Official Guide for Kingdom Heart: Chain of Memories is a useful book for helping you understand the more generic aspects of the game. For example, the sections on cards, combos and room descriptions are very well done. Of course, you can always get these information on the Internet for free, but hey, this book has colors!
The walkthrough for the various worlds, however, is a little thin. It's understandable though, considering the randomized nature of these rooms. That said, the book at least attempted to provide deck and levelling up strategies, which always help in an RPG game like this. The tips for boss fights are also quite helpful, even though some of these fights are rather straight forward.
Fans of this game may also know that when you complete the game, you can unlock an additional mode. This guide included some snippets on this mode too. All in all, I'd say the book just about cover everything you need to know about the game, and a little more. I'd recommend this to those who doesn't mind shelling out the cash for a more colorful version of an Internet FAQ.

Not only is the back cover customized with a beautifully glazed image of one of Sora's four forms, there's also an extra character booklet that gives you even more detailed information on every single character within the game. What U Want To Know About the KH II Limited Edition Strategy Guide.......2007-04-01
I just got the KH II Limited Edition Strategy Guide shipped to me yesterday! It was great! The outside is a hard cover of sora and the gang,the cover holds the books. There are two books the Jiminy's Journal and the official strategy guide. There are 4 different covers: Valor, Wisdom, Master, and Final form of Sora. U can only get one of them. I luckly got the Final form version of Sora for the cover.
-(The 1st book)Jiminy's Journal:
- Has 400 stickers of the same size as the 100 dalmation in the first KH strategy guide.
- The Strategy guide has info on all the character you meet and the worlds. Even the Heartless and bosses.
- The journal is like a grocery list, like a check list for everything in the game that you wont miss and it even tells you what kind a cutscene there is for what world. Every world you go to, they have a picture for every you get, like certain potions or maps, shards, AP Boost. It even tells you where in that world to get it like for example: there are 2 potions and 1 HI-potion in the Mansion(Foyer) in Tranverse Town.
- Every character you meet and every boss, or heartless , and even CUTSCENES are in there. Once you have meet that character or defeated that certain boss or discover a new heartless or saw a certain cutscene, you put a sticker there to indicate that you are done with it. For example: In Agrabah, you have to meet characters like Aladin, Jasmine, Genie, and etc.. Once you have met them already, you can get the sticker with their face on it from the back of the Jiminy's journal (one of the 400 stickers)and put it in the box next to the picture of Aladin indicating that you have already met that character. There are also stickers of potions to put on so you know which and what kind of potions you still need to find.
-(The 2nd book)The Official Strategy Guide:
- This book has all the info on important characters. The moves, ability, level-ups, limit-commands, and their stats.
- It is basicly a walkthrough of the game. Every step to the end.
I hope this helped all of you and encourages you to buy it. It is really worth it to buy it! Especially if you are a bbig fan of KH and Final Fantasy like me! ^_^!
Not worth the money..........2007-03-19
I'm not going to talk about the actually helpfulness of the guide, being that this is a Limited Edition and I'm assuming that you're comparing this version against the regular version anyway.
Okay, the guide is EXACTLY the same as the regular version except for the binding and the cover. The cover can be one of four different designs (Valor, Wisdom, Master or Final Form), which is kind of neat. Especially if you get the one you want (which I did, thank goodness). Also, I noticed that the binding is much better. In my other guide, the first thirty pages fell out after very little use.
Now, the Jiminy Journal is nothing special. Basically, it's got all the bios (hardly updated at all), mini-games and the treasure chests. The stickers are a joke because I had too many of some, and too few of others. I also had a big ink error on one page. The cover's cool, though.
So, I would only advise getting this if you're an avid fan of the game. Otherwise, don't spend the extra money. Get the regular version...and make sure to have some tape handy...

I completed the original Kingdom Hearts game on my PS2, with the help of the guide made for that game, and was extremely pleased with both the game and the guide. Moving on to the next game for my PS2, Kingdom Hearts II, I immediately bought the guide to help me through it. However, the guide for KHII is nowhere near the quality of the original. I lost interest in it and hardly use it. It doesn't compare in the least to the detail in the guide for KHI so I am very dissapointed.

This particular volume in the Brady Games "signature series" official strategy guides, is well written and illustrated. The magazine as a whole is quite durable as most signature series guides are. It features a detailed walkthrough, a complete bestiary, 3-d model hand drawn maps, and an in depth look at sub quests and gummi ship construction, accompanied by rich illustrations. The walkthrough is very fluid, giving you a wink and a nudge without tedium, yet descriptive and concise enough so that you never miss out on anything. The boss battle strategy sections get just a bit more in depth. Rather than hand you a step by step on how to defeat a boss however, it discusses what the bosses are capable of, allowing you to formulate your own strategy. You'll appreciate that every sub mission and hidden secret are detailed throughout the walkthrough with instructions on how to complete them. They still have an in depth recap for your referance in the back of the guide, but the information is presented in a way that allows for the most fluid path without needless backtracking (unless the game requires it). In fact, the guide even goes so far as to offering a sticker sleeve and a chart so you can add stickers as you find hidden goodies! The Bestiary is comprehensive and easy to use for all ages, detailing enemy locations and common stats, in alphabetical order. This guide has few flaws if any at all. And Dan Birlew is a wonderful author that I trust when choosing guides anyway (other than the FFIX guide with that online code crap)I rate it a 5.

I didn't finish the game but that's probably from my poor video game skills and also because i got kingdomheartsII right b4 i finished kingdom hearts. The print is big enough for anyone to see and the maps were extremely helpful. I liked this strategy guide much better than the one for kingdom hearts II. It pretty much only tells you how to defeat bosses which is very helpful too but the first one is more helpful.
