Do not waste your time or why is Amazon pushing this piece of junk.

Poorly written, combined with poor advice makes this book a waste of money and time. Commercial interests hype the book, yet there is little in it that is compeling.

Speak to Influence is an easy read and filled with solid, common-sense advice on improving speaking skills, especially in business. It helped me realize why I often don't get my message across when I speak and gave me lots of tips to sound more confident. I keep it nearby for reinforcement!

Quite honestly I found myself very bored reading this book. It's an OK book if you want to learn how to speak in general, but look elsewhere if your wanting to get into voice-overs. This book did absolutely nothing for me, in voice-overs or otherwise.

I read the book and still applying the lessons. I am anInternet Marketing Consultant ... I help individuals and businesseswith their Internet connections, Web Site Issues and eCommercebusiness. I do a lot of one on one presentation and grouppresentations. This book helped me realize the power of my voice andhow it made a lot of difference in getting my messages accross. Be iton the telephone, face to face accross the table or in front of anaudience. It's very reassuring to know that I can deliver a greatpresentation any time because I know how to use my voice. Like thesaying goes "It's not just what you say, it's how you sayit" and this book has been a big help.

Ron Krannich & Co. have put out a long series of helpful career books---this one is targeted to military types who want (or need) to re-enter the civilian workforce. Cogent, to the point with lots of helpful examples of turning "militarese" into a language of skills needed by most employers.

From Navy Blue To Corp. Grey : A Career Transition Guide for.......2000-07-16

When looking at the title of this book I was disappointed to see that it appears to be directed towards American Ex-military only.

As I am an Ex-Royal Australian Naval Person, I am not sure that it applies to Aussie ex-servicemen and women. This I would be interested to understand why? I'm sure it took considerable time and effort for the author to compile, organise, categorate data - then to write this book. I only wish that it applied to myself but to other Ex-Australian service personnel.

This book analyses changes which have occurred in the organization and management of the UK public services over the last 15 years, looking particularly at the restructured NHS. Highly recommended for anyone who wants some useful analysis of the effects of the new public management in the British health system. A very useful typography of NPM reforms and a good chapter on changing management-professional relations in the health system. Has resonances with New Zealand experience.
