Wow, what an eye-opener this book is! I really enjoyed reading this book about human personality and strongly recommend it to everyone. The book compares different personality traits and guides the reader to effectively and efficaciously interact with people regardless of their trait. Wish I'd read this book in high school!

I took the Myers Briggs personality test and learned a bit about personality type in communication and psych classes in college. But I wanted to know more. I wondered how I could figure out the personality types of others and use this information to help understand and communicate with others. I came across this book on Amazon and I think I purchased it because of all the great reviews. So I thought I should contribute a great review too. If you only buy one book on personality type I recommend this one. It's a great intro to type and it's very easy to understand. I refer back to it all the time. I also recommend "Just Your Type : Create the Relationship You've Always Wanted Using the Secrets of Personality Type" by the same authors, which matches all 16 personality types with each other, explains how type affects couple's interactions and suggests potential sources of conflict. Also very interesting. I would definitely purchase other books by these authors.

This book has changed my life. It is amazing how much I learned about myself. Now I understand my wife and other people, and I don't judge them anymore. My relations to others is now easear and less stressfull. Thanks!

The objective of this textbook is to provide a very basic and accessible introduction to option pricing, invoking only a minimum of stochastic analysis. Although short, it covers the theory essential to the statistical modeling of stocks, pricing of derivatives (general contingent claims) with martingale theory, and computational finance including both finite-difference and Monte Carlo methods. The reader is led to an understanding of the assumptions inherent in the Black & Scholes theory, of the main idea behind deriving prices and hedges, and of the use of numerical methods to compute prices for exotic contracts.
The author's style is compact and to-the-point, requiring of the reader only basic mathematical skills. In contrast to many books addressed to an audience with greater mathematical experience, it can appeal not only to students entering the discipline, but also to many practitioners, e.g. in industry, looking for an introduction to this theory without too much detail.

This is a highly mathematical introduction to the Option Theory at university level and can be read and understood only with the necessary background in higher mathematics particularly in the field of stochastic analysis. Bearing this in mind, this is a great book for it covers the theoretical background for statistical methods applied to the financial science.

Book Description
Perry Dilbeck's black-and-white photographs affectionately document the disappearing livelihood of the southern truck farmer. Small and independent operators, truck farmers typically own fewer than forty acres of land and sell their vegetables and fruits at roadside stands or local farmers' markets. In recent years, the rise of large-scale commercial farming coupled with overdevelopment, which swallows up farmland daily, has greatly diminished this traditional business.
To honor these farmers, Dilbeck chose to photograph them with a Holga, the simplest of plastic cameras. The Holga was first produced in 1982 as an inexpensive mass-market camera for working-class Chinese, who used them for family portraits or at family events. The sometimes surprising effects of the Holga, including vignetting and blurring, have popularized it with fine-art photographers.
Dilbeck, who formed close relationships with the farmers he portrays, always carried a tape recorder with him. The farmers' stories and memories, which are quoted in the book, are filled with the same pride and dignity that come through in Dilbeck's photographs. The farmers' faces show signs of a vigorous life. Dilbeck's images also show the vibrant stamp of the men's presence on the landscape: their garden plots, their antique machinery, and their homes and outbuildings. A culmination of more than ten years of work, The Last Harvest pays tribute to the dignity of local ways in the face of globalism and urban expansion.

A book of beautiful, poignant photographs, combined with personal thoughts and insights, that give honor to a proud and noble group of people - truck farmers.
Perry Dilbert's book is a must have if you are especially fond of plastic cameras (i.e. the Holga, Diana, etc.). His images are a prime example of the power and beauty behind these simple devices - and especially of what can be achieved if placed in the hands of a master photographer. Simply breathtaking!

Misleading title...........2004-10-31
The title of this book is very misleading. The recipes do incorporate some whole grains in each recipe, but use predominantly unbleached white flour.
There are a few recipes that are entirely whole-grain, but if that is your focus, you would do better to keep looking.
I'm sure there are some fine recipes in this book (I own several of Ken Haedrich's books), just not what I was expecting.
What an Amazing Cookbook!.......2001-10-19
This is the best cookbook I've bought in years! This book is a great way to introduce your family to whole grains if they aren't used to them; and it is an awesome book for families who already cook with whole grains. The recipes are delectible [which isn't always true of the whole grain recipes I've tried from other sources]. This cookbook uses whole grains without being pretentious too [if you know what I mean... ].
Ken Haedrich is very entertaining throughout the book - its actually a fun read [how often can you say THAT about a cookbook?]. He educates without preaching and conveys the wonder and peace of baking your own goods - it really is wonderful.
I found this book thoroughly enjoyable and my family has LOVED all the recipes I've made from it. [And I have one family member who is a real "white bread, meat and potatoes" kind of guy - so this is saying something!!].
Best cookbook ever.......2001-01-19
You can actually *read* this cookbook from cover to cover, enjoying every page not just for the recipes but for the running commentary and tips provided by Haedrich. He is a wonderfully skilled writer and cook, and these recipes are healthy, wholesome, and absolutely delicious. Don't miss the 60-minute bread recipe. Yummm!
My Favorite Cookbook!.......2000-06-21
I currently have this book out from the library and it is about 2 months over due as I cannot bear to part with it ( I promise to give it back when mine comes in from Amazon!) Every recipe I have tried in this book from Soft Oatmeal Sandwich Bread to Whole Wheat Chocolate Chip Cookies is wonderful! They tastes delicious and yet the recipes use natural ingredients.

I have had this book for several years, it is well worn splattered and loved. My favorite recipe is the soft oatmeal sandwich bread. The molasses cookie recipe is great too. I have not had a failure yet from this book or any other of Mr. Haedrich's books. The tone of the book is friendly and family oriented and a good read. If you're looking for a good wholesome baking book I highly recommend this one.

Respectful, clearly written book.......2001-05-16
A missing piece of the Native American literature. So many stories are about the removal, or the myths. But how did the Cherokee actually live? What did they eat? What kind of games did they play? This book expertly deals with these everyday issues.
It is a clearly written book with bright, graceful illustrations. I enjoyed reading it to my daughters several times. And now they are older they enjoy learning Cherokee words.
An excellent book...and one every librarian should consider having.
Lost in my history!.......2000-01-05
I was astonished to read of something that pertained to my family history. I am so amazed by Daniel Pennington's writing's. He made me feel like I was there watching this in real life. This will be a great tool to teach my children about my heritage.
