Calculations are only as good as your numbers.......2007-08-03

Yes, we can all agree that mainstream history is nearly 100% BS due to politics, economics, ego, problems with dating techniques, and various conspiracies. Agreed. But, I've been researching the distinct possibility that human history (in terms of civilizations) are much more ancient than we've been told, so coming across this book was very interesting to me. I wondered how Fomenko could be wrong (if at all) because he is very persuasive in his presentations. Then it dawned on me. If at previous times in prehistory, due to the various catastrophies that are well documented (comets, asteroids, planetary disruptions, plasma discharge, pole reversals, etc) the Earth was in a different position in relation to the sun, different tilt on its axis, different orbit, different rotation (in terms of velocity and DIRECTION), and the continents were in different positions, then would this not cause the ancients to see the sky (constellations) differently? In other words, is Fomenko making erronious assumptions about the physics of the Earth in pre-history, which then corrupt his data with regards to dating the relevant astrology? The last event to seriously disrupt our planet occured roughly 3500 years ago, according to other good researchers, so is it possible Fomenko has been confused by this? The vastly different physics of our planet in the not so distant past may explain this confusion, which is not to say the "mainstream" version of history is correct; on the contrary. I am not an expert in these fields, but wanted to see if this idea could spark discussion.

Will people ever read before spamming? Yes, Jesuits could not rewrite world history alone, they had help. Anyway, Dr Prof Acad A.Fomenko does not point to jesuits as the driving force of world wide history manipulation in published volumes 1,2,3;, actually he barely mentions the poor devils. Check it with 'Search inside' feature, please. China is rarely mentioned either, in fact, Dr Fomenko is completely eurocentric. Right, his theory contradicts all mainstream schools of history, because in their actual state they are all built on blatantly erroneus chronology. You don't need a mysterious cabal (conspiracy) to falsify history, the falsification is its modus operandi. It is inherent to history(ians) to falsify (distort) events, as it is inherent to humans to boast as it is inherent to power (authority) to legimize itself by referrring to glorious past made to its own order. Dr Prof Fomenko and team have identified scores of instances of such manipulation in Russian, European, etc.. history, and delivered valid statistical proof thereof. His own 'reconstruction' is completely another story. Forget c14 as a valid method of dating. W.Libby has initially discovered a brilliant method of INDEPENDENT dating. Too bad, c14 method has become a joke after a forced marrige with dendrochronology with consensual chronological scale inbuilt. Radiocarbon method can't stand blind tests, but is so very productive as a rubberstamp.

Accepted History & Chronology Must Be Changed. .......2007-04-09

There is no doubt that history as most know it is a sham, & institution's version of History both University & Church is fradulent & inaccurate. Everything was established with an agenda, The real "Dark Ages" are now when we have access to incredible amounts of information past authorities & more important 'common folk' didn't have but our institutions & educators are slow to evolve because of what has ignorantly & arrogantly been taught for too long. This is on many subjects not just Chronology.

For anyone to question "Why would a Mathematician have anything credible to say of History?" The answer is from Dr. Fomenko's preface in the book: "It would be worthwhile to remind the reader that in the XVI-XVII century Chronology was considered to be a subdivision of Mathematics." These volumes could possibly be some of the most important works to date & should be read by everyone with an interest in History, especially professors & educators who have a duty to the public. I have read both books & must say that 'Chronology 1' has some very eye opening & revolutionary information. Even if these volumes are part true the implications are profound & opens the doors to further investigations & questions which must be done. I speak several different lanquages & must say the logic Dr. Fomenko uses with "inflection" of words & words being read from left to right in one region & right to left in another then written backwards, the removal of vowels & get down to basics of words, or different cities & locations having the same name etc. is correct. Vowel usage has always been optional & varied, actually complicating linquistics & study. The first thing one has to understand is that words never had a fixed spelling in history like we do now, the spelling of words was mutable & regional, as well as names & titles of people were vast, varied & changed, NOTHING WAS FIXED or understood linear. Matters of Life & Death as well as financial profiteering yesterday & today were & are made with ignorant, illogical & conspiratorial views of history & reality, it's time people get closer to the Truth & society collectively grow up.

History as Science Fiction.......2007-01-10

Anatoly Fomenko has written a very intriguing book, full of pictures, charts, and computer 'proof' of his thesis: backwards of AD900 we don't really know what happened or when. Between AD900 and AD1600 there is more certainty, but there is still a lot of fuzzy ground, and things don't get reliable until we get past the 1600's where the printing press made it very difficult for the perpetrators of this timeline manipulation to change anything that had been committed to print. The Dark Ages did not happen. Books were burned for a reason. One organization has doubled the actual length of its existence by expanding the real chronology. Read why.

I had always wondered why Christ died about AD33 and yet men waited until the 11th century to form the Knights Templar, the Cathars, etc and go after the Holy Land by force. Why the 1000 year gap? Turns out there wasn't more than a 10-12 year gap and he proves it using astronomy. This also implies that the planet is not as old as we have been told, and current Christian and other creationist scientists are already championing that idea without being aware of Fomenko's book. The two groups, creationist scientists and the Russian mathematical analysts corroborate each other. Fascinating.

Of course, all this flies in the face of what we have been told traditionally is the 'proper' chronology of western civilization, and most readers will experience 'cognitive dissonance' in reading this book. It means that our history going backwards from AD1600 becomes progressively more incorrect and unreliable until it cannot be trusted at all... in the space of 700-800 years.

Naturally, the curious, open-minded reader will want to know WHO did this, WHY, and did any of the events we think of as really ancient ever happen?
Dr. Fomenko is a respected scientist/mathematician at Moscow State University who has already answered these questions to the satisfaction of his initially skeptical colleagues. Most of them are now believers, a few still refuse to believe (the usual diehards), and of course the western press has ignored Fomenko's work -- for obvious reasons when you read the book. The ones who perpetrated this chronology ruse have a lot to answer for. They are still with us. That's why this book is a well-kept secret.

I gave the book a 4-star rating because I was unable to check out some of his claims; those I checked were as he said. But if even 1/3 of his claims are true, this punches a big hole in what we think is our history, the meaning of western civilization, our educational process (for repeating the ruse as gospel), and the trustworthiness of the organization that perpetrated this ruse, well-intentioned or not.

This book relates to current research into a Young Earth paradigm, to John Keel's discoveries about our planet, and Fr Malachi Martin's insights (in his now out-of-print books). We are indeed sheep who are manipulated and kept ignorant -- for a reason. While knowing what these men have to say may be the "booby prize" (as in: 'what can you do with this knowledge?'), it will provide interesting reading. Didn't someone say: "...and the Truth will set you free."?? For you to judge if this book contains the truth.

I think this is the perfect book to introduce young people to the fascinating world of scientific discovery. I espeicially liked the chapter on Edward Witten: the Theory of Everything by Maria Wilson. I thought that it was the best chapter in the entire book! Maria Wilson is amazing. I hope she writes her own book someday. I would totally buy a book by Maria Wilson.

This is a great read not only for young adults but for anyone who wants to learn about why scientists are drawn to science. You also get easy-to-follow lessons on science that the average person can understand. We get glimpses into their personal life and how they overcame whatever barriers were in place to achieve what they did.

An interesting approach to understanding the scientists that have truly shaped our world as we know it. I attend a school in Illinois where this book was launched, and have met both Dr. Lederman as well as the student authors presented here. They really did enjoy making this book, and put quite a variety within it: from paleontologists to physicists, each presented with each others unique writing style. With this intimate view of the scientists themselves, the reader may achieve a personal outlook of what makes a great scientist, as well as answer the question: What is science? How does science work for us? as those interviewed here describe their work and lives in layman terms. A good book for a young reader interested in science.

This books is a must have for the serious (& not so serious) student of essential oils. Covers everything from history, chemistry, vitaflex applications, usage charts, oil frequencies, esoterice uses management of body health issues and more. The oils are primarily directed to those using Young Living Essential Oils; however, there is so much info and knowledge in these pages you can refer to this reference guide if you use other companies' therapeutic oils. I use mine book constantly - in fact, I am on my second copy!

Raindrop Technique and No Pain.......2007-07-13

I recently went to a training on the Raindrop Technique given by a Certified Doctor of Chiopratic. My coach for the session is a renowned author on Essential Oils with over 200 published works and "real" credentials. So the negative comments by one of the posters is quite without doing their research on the background of how these oils are harvested, distilled, and manufactured. I'm not a "devotee" to Gary Young, so I am speaking unbiased in my comments!

During my session I did have a burning senstation on my upper back, but this is not an "allergic" reaction! And to calm this all one needs to do is add some carrier oil before proceeding. Some people with fair skin may tend to be more sensitive and all the person giving the session must do is pay attention and have had proper training to begin with.

When I came to this class my low back hurt, my upper back hurt, my knees hurt and I had a headache. I did not notice too much of a change that day other than some sensations taking place in my body. But the next day...it was probably 3 hours after waking up I noticed NO PAIN anywhere. It was the first time in years I did not wake up with some form of pain somewhere in my body. Wow...I could not believe it! You do NOT have to dilute the oils down! If the client has very sensitive skin, yes, it may be a very wise idea, but with over 150 participants in this technique class, not one person complained! Hmmm...that says a great deal. These oils are powerful. There may be other oils out there that also take pride in they manufaturing process, but I will stay with a company that has been in business for over 10 years and knows what they are doing and deliver oils that work. Essential Oils properly developed are remarkable Biblical Healing Oils. Unfortunately for this country the good ole USA...it has been severely tainted by governmental control and I have not heard of anyone losing their life using essential oils, but I persoanally know quite a few that died due to MEDICATION that is by the way FDA approved! And thank God I have the training and knowledge I do or my husband would have been one of these sad statistics when I took him off a medication he has side effects from while his doctor said it was not from the medication! And boy...don't get me started on this one. I respect doctors, but I respect God's natural alternative 10,000 time more!

Best therapy EVER.......2007-05-17

I learned this for my friend who has a curved back-very painful. We did it once a week for 14 weeks. Doctor said it was completely healed and during surgery only needed to remove some splinters. The video also helps you learn the technique. Both together are an excellent way to learn. Anyone can do this.

If you have taken Raindrop Technique training, or have learned from the DVD, this book is a WONDERFUL reference and reminder of what the process is. Black & white photos of different set-ups and steps of the technique. Well worth the price. Highly recommended!

Raindrop Therapy.......2006-12-16

First, I am not a member of Young Living. There are several other very reputable essential oil companies out there who sell organic and sustainably wildcrafted oils with gas chromotography proof of purity. I am a student of aromatherapy and even I know reactions may occur with any oil placed on the skin. This does does mean the therapy (raindrop), the oil, or the aromatherapist are at fault. If you eat a crappy diet or eat well and still use commercial personal care products loaded with petroleum derivatives and other chemicals, then you are more likely to have an adverse reaction occur and manifest on your skin. Chem #1 + Chem #2 = Chem #3 occuring right there on your skin.
Raindrop Therapy is a very fine therapy and has helped many immensely. I am currently learning it myself and practicing on my family with very fine results. Keep an open mind.

Raindrop Quackery.......2006-10-01

I agree with the sentiments of the previous two reviewers.

I had the Raindrop Technique performed on me by a 'certified' aromatherapist
(most likely certified by Gary D. Young?)and my skin's reaction was
to turn beet red along with an intense burning sensation. Obviously,
an allergic reaction to the applied neat essential oils. The aromatherapist
in question, seemed perplexed and replied, "Hmm, this shouldn't be
happening!"
Well, any aromatherapist worth her/his salt, should know that one
does not apply undiluted essential oils directly onto the skin!
Since then, I've done my homework and I have found these facts:
1) Gary D. Young bought his N.D. degree from a Bernadean University,
which is a diploma mill. (Type the school's 'name' in any search
engine).
2) In the state of Utah, it is illegal for a licensed homeopathic
professional to sell (retail, wholesaler, distributor,etc) homeopathic
remedies., yet on many distributor websites, you will read that Young
is listed as an N.D.(Young was not listed as a licensed professional
in the state of Utah's DOPL database).
This man has a long list of unsubstantiated claims in his background,
yet try to tell that to his devotees. They will only laugh 'knowingly'
and believe you to be an antagonistic naysayer.

What concerns me most is I am afraid many people will be turned
off by essential oils, based on the claims of this one man.
Another thing to me that I find disturbing is the unadulterated
devotion that distributors hold for this man.
(Think of a cult.)
Scary!

This is a "must read" precious little book! While the title suggests it is a children's story, as an adult I found the book's message deep and touching. The book is about our spiritual journey and how even the most seemingly insignificant being--in this case a little raindrop--is connected to the All. The little raindrop is not only an important part of the Whole but is also capable of enlightenment through its life journey. If read to a child, you will have to explain many things and I guess that is precisely the hidden gift of this book. In its seemingly simple storyline, The Little Raindrop hides great spiritual wisdom.

I enjoyed reading this book...have yet to make a recipe from it...I have some Cajun recipes written on paper from friends and each time I wan't to make something Nola...I keep returning to the tried and true.

the cookbook is as lovely as the restaurant.......2006-08-24

A June visit to New Orleans, with dinner at Arnaud's, inspired the purchase of this cookbook. The book more than exceeded my expectations, with interesting anecdotes, beautiful photographs and doable, delicious recipes. The only thing missing is the recipe for the distinctive remoulade sauce they use for Shrimp Arnaud, a great favorite. However, they do sell the sauce so all is not lost. This cookbook is the next best thing to actually going to the restaurant, and offers some truly original recipes.

The recipes can be authentically executed in the amateur kitchen from readily available ingredients. Recipes range from the humble red beans and rice to the exotic and heady Cafė Brûlot. And yes, it includes the correct recipe for an Old Fashioned. The book is beautifully illustrated and filled with the myth and history of the classic Arnaud's Restaurant in the context of New Orleans. There's even a picture of a ghost!

This cookbook is beautifully photographed, an interesting read and very high quality, so your first tough decision will be where to keep it - in the kitchen or on the coffee table! The second tough decision will be what to cook first - classic recipes are logically arranged, and easy to follow. I highly recommend this book for cooks of all skill levels.
