Book Description
Recorded history is a finely-woven magic fabric of intricate lies about events predating the sixteenth century. There is not a single piece of evidence that can be reliably and independently traced back earlier than the eleventh century. This book details events that are substantiated by hard facts and logic, and validated by new astronomical research and statistical analysis of ancient sources.

Calculations are only as good as your numbers.......2007-08-03
Yes, we can all agree that mainstream history is nearly 100% BS due to politics, economics, ego, problems with dating techniques, and various conspiracies. Agreed. But, I've been researching the distinct possibility that human history (in terms of civilizations) are much more ancient than we've been told, so coming across this book was very interesting to me. I wondered how Fomenko could be wrong (if at all) because he is very persuasive in his presentations. Then it dawned on me. If at previous times in prehistory, due to the various catastrophies that are well documented (comets, asteroids, planetary disruptions, plasma discharge, pole reversals, etc) the Earth was in a different position in relation to the sun, different tilt on its axis, different orbit, different rotation (in terms of velocity and DIRECTION), and the continents were in different positions, then would this not cause the ancients to see the sky (constellations) differently? In other words, is Fomenko making erronious assumptions about the physics of the Earth in pre-history, which then corrupt his data with regards to dating the relevant astrology? The last event to seriously disrupt our planet occured roughly 3500 years ago, according to other good researchers, so is it possible Fomenko has been confused by this? The vastly different physics of our planet in the not so distant past may explain this confusion, which is not to say the "mainstream" version of history is correct; on the contrary. I am not an expert in these fields, but wanted to see if this idea could spark discussion.
Pants on fire?.......2007-07-19
Will people ever read before spamming? Yes, Jesuits could not rewrite world history alone, they had help. Anyway, Dr Prof Acad A.Fomenko does not point to jesuits as the driving force of world wide history manipulation in published volumes 1,2,3;, actually he barely mentions the poor devils. Check it with 'Search inside' feature, please. China is rarely mentioned either, in fact, Dr Fomenko is completely eurocentric. Right, his theory contradicts all mainstream schools of history, because in their actual state they are all built on blatantly erroneus chronology. You don't need a mysterious cabal (conspiracy) to falsify history, the falsification is its modus operandi. It is inherent to history(ians) to falsify (distort) events, as it is inherent to humans to boast as it is inherent to power (authority) to legimize itself by referrring to glorious past made to its own order. Dr Prof Fomenko and team have identified scores of instances of such manipulation in Russian, European, etc.. history, and delivered valid statistical proof thereof. His own 'reconstruction' is completely another story. Forget c14 as a valid method of dating. W.Libby has initially discovered a brilliant method of INDEPENDENT dating. Too bad, c14 method has become a joke after a forced marrige with dendrochronology with consensual chronological scale inbuilt. Radiocarbon method can't stand blind tests, but is so very productive as a rubberstamp.
Accepted History & Chronology Must Be Changed. .......2007-04-09
There is no doubt that history as most know it is a sham, & institution's version of History both University & Church is fradulent & inaccurate. Everything was established with an agenda, The real "Dark Ages" are now when we have access to incredible amounts of information past authorities & more important 'common folk' didn't have but our institutions & educators are slow to evolve because of what has ignorantly & arrogantly been taught for too long. This is on many subjects not just Chronology.
For anyone to question "Why would a Mathematician have anything credible to say of History?" The answer is from Dr. Fomenko's preface in the book: "It would be worthwhile to remind the reader that in the XVI-XVII century Chronology was considered to be a subdivision of Mathematics." These volumes could possibly be some of the most important works to date & should be read by everyone with an interest in History, especially professors & educators who have a duty to the public. I have read both books & must say that 'Chronology 1' has some very eye opening & revolutionary information. Even if these volumes are part true the implications are profound & opens the doors to further investigations & questions which must be done. I speak several different lanquages & must say the logic Dr. Fomenko uses with "inflection" of words & words being read from left to right in one region & right to left in another then written backwards, the removal of vowels & get down to basics of words, or different cities & locations having the same name etc. is correct. Vowel usage has always been optional & varied, actually complicating linquistics & study. The first thing one has to understand is that words never had a fixed spelling in history like we do now, the spelling of words was mutable & regional, as well as names & titles of people were vast, varied & changed, NOTHING WAS FIXED or understood linear. Matters of Life & Death as well as financial profiteering yesterday & today were & are made with ignorant, illogical & conspiratorial views of history & reality, it's time people get closer to the Truth & society collectively grow up.
Very Interesting.......2007-03-07
It is a good proposal and I believe it will mature into something even better in the future. I think it deserves to be read.
History as Science Fiction.......2007-01-10
Anatoly Fomenko has written a very intriguing book, full of pictures, charts, and computer 'proof' of his thesis: backwards of AD900 we don't really know what happened or when. Between AD900 and AD1600 there is more certainty, but there is still a lot of fuzzy ground, and things don't get reliable until we get past the 1600's where the printing press made it very difficult for the perpetrators of this timeline manipulation to change anything that had been committed to print. The Dark Ages did not happen. Books were burned for a reason. One organization has doubled the actual length of its existence by expanding the real chronology. Read why.
I had always wondered why Christ died about AD33 and yet men waited until the 11th century to form the Knights Templar, the Cathars, etc and go after the Holy Land by force. Why the 1000 year gap? Turns out there wasn't more than a 10-12 year gap and he proves it using astronomy. This also implies that the planet is not as old as we have been told, and current Christian and other creationist scientists are already championing that idea without being aware of Fomenko's book. The two groups, creationist scientists and the Russian mathematical analysts corroborate each other. Fascinating.
Of course, all this flies in the face of what we have been told traditionally is the 'proper' chronology of western civilization, and most readers will experience 'cognitive dissonance' in reading this book. It means that our history going backwards from AD1600 becomes progressively more incorrect and unreliable until it cannot be trusted at all... in the space of 700-800 years.
Naturally, the curious, open-minded reader will want to know WHO did this, WHY, and did any of the events we think of as really ancient ever happen?
Dr. Fomenko is a respected scientist/mathematician at Moscow State University who has already answered these questions to the satisfaction of his initially skeptical colleagues. Most of them are now believers, a few still refuse to believe (the usual diehards), and of course the western press has ignored Fomenko's work -- for obvious reasons when you read the book. The ones who perpetrated this chronology ruse have a lot to answer for. They are still with us. That's why this book is a well-kept secret.
I gave the book a 4-star rating because I was unable to check out some of his claims; those I checked were as he said. But if even 1/3 of his claims are true, this punches a big hole in what we think is our history, the meaning of western civilization, our educational process (for repeating the ruse as gospel), and the trustworthiness of the organization that perpetrated this ruse, well-intentioned or not.
This book relates to current research into a Young Earth paradigm, to John Keel's discoveries about our planet, and Fr Malachi Martin's insights (in his now out-of-print books). We are indeed sheep who are manipulated and kept ignorant -- for a reason. While knowing what these men have to say may be the "booby prize" (as in: 'what can you do with this knowledge?'), it will provide interesting reading. Didn't someone say: "...and the Truth will set you free."?? For you to judge if this book contains the truth.

Significant Contribution to Indian Historical Documentation.......2007-09-04
"French Hero! British Monster! Indian Patriot!" appears on the cover of Abenaki Warrior: The Life and Times of Chief Escumbuit, by Alfred E. Kayworth. It's still true! You learn something new everyday! In this historical narrative, fiction-based but full of documentation, Kayworth has presented us with a "one and only"! What a find!
Most of us have heard of Chiefs Geronomo and Cochise--Indians who participated in battles as western America was colonized. However, in the northeast part of the United States, during the late 1600s, an Abenaki Indian, Escumbuit, claimed early and easy fame as a young brave who grew to become a warrior chief and sachem of the Pigwacket Tribe. His life had never been explored and developed prior to Kayworth's work.
This book not only pulls together the facts from many historical documents, but, with further research and study, Kayworth developed a fictional life story that reads almost in novel form to explore the life of Chief Escumbuit. In fact, this book transformed Escumbuit from an "historical non-entity to Canadian celebrity," (p. 253) after which Dr. Sylvie Savoie was commissioned on behalf of several Amerindian groups to study his life further. Chief Escumbuit has since been designated A Personage of Historical Significance in Canadian History through the Canadian Heritage Program. (p. 254). He shares this honor with three other Indians, including Tecumseh.
A small island at Big Island Pond, Derry, New Hampshire, is named after Chief Escumbuit. The Abenaki Indians had claimed Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont as their home and near the end of Escumbuit's life (1665 to 1727) he lived on the Island later named in his honor.
Escumbuit was born to be a warrior. He was born into a tribe that was known for their cruelty. The child was known as Ottucke, the Indian name for deer, apparently due to his running ability. When another boy stole and broke his dagger, Ottucke attacked him with a blind fury. He was pulled off the boy before killing him and from that moment his reputation began to grow. Ottucke was ten years old.
During the wars between England and France to gain territory in America, Escumbuit was a member of those Indians who helped the French. He may well be the only Indian who traveled to Europe, was knighted by King Louis XIV at the Palace of Versailles and presented with a silver saber and a life-long pension by the King. At this time, he had been credited with the death and scalping of 150 English settlers. Escumbuit spent a year in France and was welcomed by all, including the ladies of the court!
An interesting side story for Escumbuit was that he discovered a silver mine in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Much of the silver was used for bullets! It is not quite clear whether the silver mine was ever actually mined--perhaps it is still there waiting for a new Escumbuit to have his manatou show him the way through his vision quest.
The proud warrior that appears on the Abenaki Warrior cover is illustrative of the life led by Chief Escumbuit. While the book itself does not read fluently as would a novel, this is easily forgiven by the presentation of facts and the writing style that tells Escumbuit's life as though it was being presented to readers by his now long-gone ancestors. This is a significant historical contribution in my opinion and hopefully will lead to further research of the history of those Indians who were there on the eastern coast as the United States was first being colonized. These were bloody times; many brave warriors lost their lives as their land was invaded. America should know of this history . . . and remember. America was the "ancestral home (of our Indian brothers and sisters) since pre-historic time." (p. 16).
Even if you are not "into" history, this book deserves your attention. It is easily understood and of value to all ages. It provides a major contribution to our understanding of early America! Highly Recommended!
Review on a fascinating piece of American Indian History.......2001-08-27
I am a really admirer of the American Indian History, and I am countinuosly searching for books and other material that can be useful at the purpose to find out any news on it; in this optic I have read with pleasure the Kayworth's book. Undoubtedly well documented from an historical point of view, the author does not limit himself to present the life of one of the most notable Indian War Chiefs, detailing with plenty of particulars the most salient aspects of it (i.e: his visit to the KING LOUIS XIV in France and his life as a ferocious Abenaki warrior), but, also, presenting him from a perspective dictated by his human being, his thoughts as an old man, as a banished by his tribe, and, above all a man near to his death having, at least, the consolation of his new family that love him. In add, I was struck by the real Escumbuit's friendship with the French official Marin, sincere and truthful; it is presented us also together with several imaginary dialogues that, nevertheless are trying to explain us two different worlds, two different thoughts that are doing their best at the purpose to perfectly understand each other. I absolutely recommend to read this book to all that are thinking like me that the Indians are the unique thing that they have to be: men with their emotions, lovers of their way to life and above all of their earth.
Cautionary review.......2000-04-15
Although Abenaki Warrior is filled with interesting information, I was appalled by the ignorant, racist comments that the author inserted throughout the book - comments obviously with no basis in fact. For example "...the Indian mind did not recogize such complex emotions as conscience and guilt." This and MANY other similar comments and insulting "conclusions" about "savages" etc. made it difficult to complete the book or lend any credibility to the factual information in it. A good, sensitive editor should have excised these remarks. The author should be ashamed.
a fascinating story about our early colonial history.......1998-12-06
England and France competed for control of the new world for more than 100 years. Caught in this mealstrom were the native americans who were destined to loose there land no matter which side they joined. Alfred Kayworth chronicles the life of Escumbuit an Abenaki Indian from the Pigwaset tribe living in Maine. Escumbuit, born in 1665, becomes active in the war as a French ally against the English settlers from 1688 through 1708 when he is wounded and retires among a group of displaced indians living on Big Island Pond in Southern New Hampshire. His adventures carry him from New Brunswick Canada down to Haverhill and Andover, Mass. His exploits and fame were such that the King of France , Louis XIV, brought Escumbuit to Paris, knighted him and gave him a silver sword and lifetime pension. He spent a year in Paris as a guest of the crown being wined and dined by the elite. He died in 1727. One of the islands in the pond is called Escumbuits Island. It is from this reference to the island that the author first encounters the name Escumbuit. His research resulted in a fascinating book, written in novel form, containing both fact and fiction. The Abenakis left no written record, but Escumbuits exploits as a French ally and an English enemy were such that there are documents written by contemporary individuals on both sides praising or vilifying him. The gaps in the historical record are filled in from the authors imagination, but are based on Abenaki culture as he came to know it through his research. He clearly delineates fact from fiction in foot notes and bibliography. He also peppers the book with facts not directly associated with the subject of the book, such as the aborted invasion of Boston and the east coast by a French fleet and army in 1697. The author does not preach or judge the charaters about whom he write. He tells his story letting events flow without coloring them with his 20th century cultural bias. I read the book in a couple of sittings, enjoying it from cover to cover. I wonder how many other stories like this are out there about this ignored part of our heritage.
A valiant warrior's quest to change the course of history.......1998-07-15
Being of Native American heritage, I was fascinated by the way Mr. Kayworth combined the personal and historical aspects of the life of Chief Escumbuit. It makes one feel that, if they walked on Escumbuit Island today, they would sense the presense of those long gone Abenaki warriors and their families. Sue Manic, Descendant Cherokee Indian Nation

A military history.......2004-02-17
While serving as an insightful working on the history of Afred, strictly from a military stand point, the depth of those chapters far outstrip the human characteristics of Alfred. A good read, but only for the diehard Alfred fans who want to know everything there is to know, even the dry hard facts, about Alfred's military campaigns.
A review of Alfred's military defeats and victories........2002-04-20
This book gives a standard treatment of Alfred the Great's history and the unpleasantness visited upon England by the Danes. It's focus is on the strategy and tactics employed by Alfred in his campaigns, his guerilla war directed from Athelney, organization of a navy, and fortification of the strategically sited burhs.
It's a fast read and written by a veteran of the Burma campaign in World War II so it is chock full of soldierly insights regarding logistics, terrain, and morale. Although focused on Wessex, the Danes, Franks, Mercians, East Anglians, Northumbrians and the Welsh are not ignored as participants in the various Viking raids and eventual settlements occurring in Northwest Europe. There is a great deal of emphasis on the routes by which various forces moved across England and the trackways, Roman roads, and waterways used are given detailed descriptions.
I enjoyed it as a sort of Pop military history of Alfred.

Fair, but not that great.......2006-01-05
If you are interested in how a particular space suit patch was designed, fine. If you are interested in how they got to the moon, look elsewhere. The 5-point type on the descriptions is particularly bad - you need to buy reading glasses along with the book.
Neat Little Book.......2002-07-23
Much has been written about the Apollo moon landings, from astronaut biographies to highly technical books requiring an advanced degree. In this book, however, the author focuses on a much different topic. Here, for each mission he covers how each spacecraft was named and how each crew patch was designed. In addition to this well researched topic, the books also presents reproduced newspaper front pages that give you the feel for the excitement of the times as well as presenting numerous color and black and white photographs. The book also covers the Skylab, Apollo-Soyuz Test Project and the early Shuttle landing tests. The final section lists all the contactors and sub-contractors that developed various components for the Apollo program, a very welcomed and hard to find list. While some may feel that moon landing patch designs and spacecraft names is an odd topic for a book about this great adventure, this book will surprise you on how good it truly is.
complete, concise, conclusive on all the patches & callsigns.......1996-08-26
Mr Lattimer has complied one of the most complete pieces of
history pertaining to the early space flights up to the shuttle missions.
He has combined with this era all the major events that were
taking place around the world at the time this country was
experincing it's highest achievement to-date.
Well designed and as factual an accounting as you could hope
to find. I believe it is the only book on this subject of how
and where all the call signs and patches actually came about.
Delightful reading, although the type is very small in some
case but great for students of all ages, espically middle
school and high school levels.
Great color, fascinating photographs and seeing the actual
front pages of the newspapers from that period in time is
wonderful to browse thru.
You can put yourself in what ever situation you were in at
that exact period in time and feel as though you are part of
the book.
A must for every household and a price you can easily afford.
I know the author and know it took him over 20 yrs to do this book.
Buy it, read it, live it and enjoy it !

Dreams To Heal........2005-06-02
These two doctors have written a great 'self-help' book of dealing with grief. The pain of separation causes the person who's grieving to exist in an insular world of grief which has to be worked through in stages.
Suffering is a natural consequence of living in the real world today, and losing someone close makes it even worse. These rare and special kinds of dreams associated with the grieving process can be healing (from the subconscious surfacing during one's sleep) but living through them can be a scary experience. Two of mine came true.
The main types include 'visitation,' 'message,' 'reassurance,' 'trauma,' and 'faith.' However, there is another which affected me last month when my grandson was killed in a car accident. It was in the form of a premonition (called precognitive dreams), where you are made aware of an event before it actually occurs. They are prophetic: first, Tristan's death, which I refused to believe, and then one about my bank account being emptied with a card. It was but not exactly as the dream led me to believe it might happen, but it did anyway.
Have you experience deja vu, a feeling we have been in a certain place or experienced a certain event before; we have already 'been there' in a dream? In your sleep, you lose the basic law of free will and the subconscious sometimes shows you what may happen so that maybe it could be prevented. There are instances given in this book about how some actually saved the life of the person dreaming.
If you feel like God has deserted you, when something like an unexpected death happens, it can be acceptable to work things out by going to nature, art and music for consolation. I've had to use all three lately. Faith comes in many forms, and you need community support (which I lacked here at these apartments as the Baptist preacher assistant manager did not even say he was sorry, nor did he list the death for others to see). Even the noted theologian, C. S. Lewis, questioned his faith in God when his first wife died (read the book A GRIEF OBSERVED), and a miracle came to him in the person of an American divorcee named Joy for which he wrote an ODE TO JOY.
"If we could only know 'for sure' that our loved ones continue to exist in a peaceful realm beyond this earthly one, then the pain of separation would be a lot more bearable." Message dreams are warnings we should all accept, as being from a loving God or the dearly departed.
Essential for all grieving parents.......2005-05-21
Dreaming of our lost loved ones is a gift. A gift that most of us don't quite know how to accept or to grasp. Reading Grief Dreams brought to me a welcomed knowledge of understanding, not only as to why I dream about my daughter, Jackie, but also why/how she uses my dreams to effectively communicate with me.
When I submitted my grief dream to TJ, so many months ago, I never expected the comfort and peace I would gain while finally reading her published pages. So please, if you are lost in the midst of grief, give yourself the benefit of what this inspirational book has to offer.
Help through the grieving process.......2005-05-17
I bought this book on the recommendation of a grief counselor. It has helped me enormously in healing from a tremendous personal loss. The anecdotal accounts are valuable tools for anyone dealing with the death of a loved one, as we draw parallels in our own grief dreams. Understanding the symbolism behind the images of our dreams moves us forward through the grief process toward acceptance. I highly recommend this powerful tool.
Healing Dreams.......2005-03-15
I bought this book because I saw the authors at a bookstore. What the authors said made a lot of sense; that dreaming is universal, and that we process grief through dreams. Grief Dreams goes over the grieving process in general (which is real helpful) and has a way of normalizing the process. Then the book breaks down dreaming into "types." The whole book provided me with a way to understand my losses--I felt it was written in a way that made me feel the authors cared about me.
Long Awaited .......2005-02-20
This book is just what I was looking for. I had been having dreams like this and now see what they actually are. It is a relief to know that this happens to others and that these are more than "dreams". They are messages and visits and it does help us understand that this is the way life works. We are all going to die and we are all going to lose someone we love. It brings me comfort to know that we can still communicate on a spiritual level and be together. I miss my father immensely, but I know that in my dreams he may come and hug me or just smile. And he is still there...and will always be. I am not as lonely , just like others in the book mention.
The book is easy to read with personal stories mixed in with factual reesearch. Anyone who lost someone should read it!

Wonderful Recipes Make Cherished Gift.......2007-05-09
I first purchased this book years ago, and it is still a cherished favorite. It is as much fun to browse through as it is to cook from, with well-written stories recollected of our first families. Mr. Haller included recipes which can easily be mastered by the average household cook, with photos to inspire and amuse. We enjoy this cookbook so well, we've purchased copies for family and friends over the years, and continue to do so. It makes a wonderful and thoughtful gift - a book of elegant and practical recipes, fit for coffee table display! This book has something for every taste and every occasion, and covers everyday recipes to the truly sublime, decadent to healthy, down home Southern recipes to European favorites, with everything in between. The White House Family Cookbook is truly worthy of America's talented First Chef - Henry Haller. It is also the only recipe book of which I personally own two - a "working copy" for the kitchen, and a more prestine copy for our personal library.
