I would recommend this book for people who want a very practical "recipe" on the key communication pieces to produce for a comprehensive investor relations campaign, the key elements of a good shareholder letter, the key elements of an investor relations section on the corporate website. It also nicely explains what to consider to show company value and investment considerations for investors. It has a lot of practical check lists. The only negative, I wish the book was more substantial... it is a short book...The publisher should note that there is a huge mistake on the first page of the book where it says "undervalued" where it should say "overvalued"...

I found this book to be better than any other carving book I have purchased. The painting guides are accurate and detailed, the patterns are realistic and proportionate, and each species has several different head poses included. I use this book while carving and painting more than all of my others combined.

This book is actually a collection of magazine articles about the Boxster. Complete reviews, road tests, and photographs as they originally appeared in magazines such as Road & Track and Car & Driver are simply presented. I like it.

Book Description
The Porsche type 550 appeared in 1953. Designed for competition purposes, it featured a complex flat four that produced 110 bhp from just 1.5 litres. Quite a feat for 1953 - more than half a century ago! Not only was it light, it was very quick and soon became a class winner in major long distance races. It also became quite a collector's piece. A new era was ushered in with the release of the stunning Type 904 that was shown to the media in 1963 and entered competition the following year. It had a fibreglass body of exquisite beauty, and a totally new chassis with coil spring suspension. It was to have a long and successful racing career and spawned more great racing Porsches over the next decade beginning with the fabulous Carrera 6, the first Porsche to be powered by a flat six engine. Thankfully, many of the small numbers of these cars that were built have survived and are often seen in classic events around the world. They still look and sound great.

Republished auto magazine road tests of all the SLs and SLCs from 1971 through 1989, with tables of specs and performance. Other books look better on the coffee table, but this is the one we can use to compare the years quickly and easily. And it's less than half the price of books not as thorough, though prettier.

A tour-de-force of What Can Be Done.......2006-01-12
The one thing you can say about digital photography is that it is certainly changing fast. And in this book Mr. Lipkin shows what a series of what you might call photographer/artists have done using digital images and computer manipulation of those images.
In many cases, you might view these images as closer to paintings than photographs. In other cases, the images are of things that we cannot see ourselves, MRI images from inside the skull of a living person, mountains on the surface of Venus. Other images are from somewhere in the mind of the producer. These might be composite pictures of several people, these might be images that start with a photograph but which now are so distorted and colors so changed that their origin is difficult to see.
This is not a book of techniques, it is a book of results, of ideas from the minds of people who are carrying digital photography into new areas.

It is truly amazing the rate at which technology moves! Four years ago, the author thought that film photography was here to stay for a long while because digital cameras were expensive, not so good, and anyway, people would need fancy computers and printers to make accessible photos. Now easy internet business is routinely conducted with digital images. But, as Lipkin points out, in PHOTOGRAPHY REBORN, it is not only that digital photography takes the place of film. It does, but it also is a genuine new medium. This book tells how and why digital images can outmanipulate experience and reality, be a new aesthetic medium and be more subversive than film photographs in which Trotsky's image was removed from Stalin's. Don't waste your money. If you are looking for humor or insight
into the political world, this won't do it. If you are looking
for a cheap hit piece on George W. Bush and Arnold Schwarzenegger, written by a radical left-wing professor, here
you go. There is no sign of research or thought, just a lack of
humor, and an inability to recognize humor when it is obviously
spoken in jest.
Spend your money elsewhere, this title is misleading.

In the radio business, I get to interview a lot of politicans, and I respect a lot of what they do. It's great to have a book that takes a humorous look at some of the things said in public, which were probably not intentional. It's great that politicians can laugh at themselves. There is enough tension in this society, and a little humor is always welcome.
I had the chance to interview Rueter on my radio show "McAndrew in the Middle" on WHBL and was impressed with his wit and humor. We need more books like this. We take ourselves too seriously!
Another great book on this subject was written by Wisconsin State Senator Carol Roessler! :)

If you love to laugh and you love politics, get this book! It's hilarious. The quotes are funny, witty, and down right dumb. I'm purchasing two more copies of this book to give as gifts. Kudos to the author for giving us a break from the "serious" side of politics and a good laugh to boot.
