Bogey Men Dont Play Football.......2002-01-12
This book is about a group of kids who discover that their substitute teacher is not only a football player for the town team but the bogeyman. While there real teacher {who they think is a vampire} is sick they, they have a very strange sub teacher.
He is tall with large muscle and always wears dark clothes. When a certain kid doesn't do his homework the teacher says he will get him and that night the boy couldn't sleep because there was a strange noise under his bed. His friends thought nothing of it until kids all over the school were scared to sleep. They went to a football game and snuck into the locker room to snoop through the teacher's locker. When they discover his secret he disappears and the regular teacher comes back to school.

Book Description
Zach Reynolds had an amazing talent no one could suspect as he grew up in 1960s rural Illinois. An autistic savant, he was teased for being different from his earliest school days.
Only upon developing a unique friendship with a spunky neighbor--herself an outcast for being a new kid in school--did he find a path that would eventually lead to remarkable achievement.
Bogeymen is about growing up, making choices and confronting responsibility. It's also about finding friends--and losing them--about overcoming adversity and sharing adventures with companions who would soon disappear forever down other paths.
It's a story for everyone who, from time to time, thinks about how different things were in their youth--but mostly how distant and inaccessible those days have become.
"Bogeymen reads like a tour down a winding path of long-neglected high school memories. I quickly got that feeling summers used to give; when it was hard to imagine anything more important than an upcoming weekend party or spending the night at a friend's house.
The story will appeal to everyone. The golf was right on but, broken down to its finest parts, it isn't any more about golf than it is about football or prom or drama club.
Ultimately, it's about the joy and pain of growing up--and the Kodacolor images we collect along the way." BOBBY STEINER COLUMNIST AND AUTHOR OF Golf, Heart & Soul

Exciting world-wide action/thriller!.......2005-09-05
The author quickly reels the reader in with nonstop action, and, in classic style, leaves the reader yearning for more. Readers of mystery/thriller novels are sure to be pleased with this yarn, which neatly weaves the many plots and characters into a coherent whole.
This exciting action/thriller weaves together the world.......2001-01-10
of international terrorism overlaid on the serene landscape of the North Carolina Mountains. Politics is the major motivator behind the action when the current president decides to build a high-level nuclear waste disposal site to bolster his reelection chances. The lively geologist chosen for the project has ties to the area and rekindles some old friendships and past loves. Power plays abound whether they are on a worldwide scale or just involve the bedroom, they intertwine deviously to keep the reader wondering what will happen next. The cast of characters is memorable, from the intense young terrorist and his companion, to the manipulative director of the new waste disposal site and his indentured wife. This book is an enjoyable read which should keep the reader entranced while educating them on geology and the politics of our world leaders!

SEARCH AND DESTROY
The fabled hoard of the mad tyrant Xim was vast--a king's ransom beyond imagining. It was also, as far as Han Solo and Chewbacca were concerned, strictly legendary. But when a little misunderstanding set the deadliest gunman in the galaxy on Han's trail, a secret expedition to almost any place became highly desirable.
Yet within hours of landing on the planet rumored to hold the treasure, Han's beloved spacecraft, the Millennium Falcon, was hijacked, and his party was forced to contend with deadly assassins and an army of killer robots.
This was no way for a pair of honest smugglers to make a living . . .

Han Solo at his best as Indiana Jones.......2005-12-04
This story takes place before Han and Chewie meet Luke and Obi-Wan on Tatooine. I read it only once in 1981 when I found it in the library while looking for something new to read. I was disappointed that Han & Chewie didn't keep the fabled treasure, but not every story has a happy ending like that. Maybe it's time for a reread.
Not many folks can brag that they own a hardcover of this book: I'm one of the few who can! Got it from the book club before it was discontinued along with the other two books in the series.
Daley Does It Better.......2005-05-06
First released in the 1970s, Daley gave hungry "Star Wars" fans a much-needed fix between the release of Lucas' flicks, and with the notable exceptions of AC Crispin and Tim Zahn, has been the only writer to really do justice to the original trilogy. Daley gives us a look into Han and Chewbacca's smuggling career and takes them from caper to caper and thrill to thrill in the Corporate Sector Authority (nice change from the Empire, by the way).
"Lost Legacy" the third book in the trilogy, takes Han and Chewie on a treasure hunt a la Indiana Jones, accompanied by trusty droid friends Bollux and Blue Max (who are waaayyyy more interesting and likeable than Threepio ever was!), Han's former Imperial Academy instructor, and feisty Hasti, an attractive swashbuckling female character who needs no rescue, thank you very much. Swept across the galaxy in search of the treasure and pursued relentlessly by Gallandro the Assassin, Daley gives readers a breathless adventure that's more than worthy of the Lucas originals. A pity these never made it to film. Highly recommend!
The Falcon is hijacked in the corporate sector.......2003-07-23
This is the third story of the Brian daley trilogy. Brian also did the radio dramas but sadly died before seeing the expanded universe explode into what it has become. He is the first EU novelists.
My favorite of the Daley trilogy is Han solo's Revenge. Second is HS at Stars End (which is also available is a Dark horse comic). Lost legacy is my least favorite of the three stories, but it is still a good read.
One vacation I read in order the first 2 AC Crispen novels of the Han solo trilogy. Then I read the daley trilogy and concluded with the last of the Crispen trilogy, Rebel Dawn. AC Crispen did a good job writing his trilogy as he accommodated the Daley books.
Fine Star Wars fiction.......2003-06-02
Solo and Chewbacca embark on yet another adventure. This book is woven into the Crispin / Daley web of Trilogies. You may need a chart to keep track of timelines of all 6 stories. But a good read.
A good book by the master........2000-05-28
This book helped me understand why Han Solo acted the way he did in the original trilogy. Also, note that besides the novelizations, it was out before most other Star Wars books.\ This is a great buy, and if you get it, enjoy.

Jake's not the guy he used to be.......2003-08-23
This is one of the most hilarious books I've ever read. Jake has switched bodies with his teacher, the president, and now he's switched bodies with his sister! This book made me think about what things would be like if I was someone else.
what i think.......................2002-05-06
i think this was a good book. i think it was a cool idea to have someone switch bodies with the opposite sex, and even their sister. i think that more books should be written. some about maybe being trapped in his moms body and one with his girlfriend too. i think that would be cool. i also know that deep down, a lot of us guys wud spend a day to live this story. if i were jake, id wanna spend a day as his sister, mostly to know what it was like. i give this book a perfect 10.
a GOOD BOOK NONE THE LESS.......2001-05-09
IN this book jake switches bodies with his sister jessica Jake does this to impress a pen pal from japan. This book asks the intresting question how would you like to be someone else for a day. After reading the book i as a guy want to know how it feels to be a girl for a day
totally cool but not as good as the other books.......2000-12-31
i love this book, but it doesnt compare to the other Help!s. ok, so the insults exchanged at the beggining of the book were lame. 'your brother's so stupid he sat on the tv and watched the couch.' 'you're so uncoordinated you slept on the floor and still fell out of bed' uh huh. i also thought the whole 'let's be nice to each other' was kind of corny too. BUT i love the whole thing where Jake is trapped in Scarcely Hers, a major girly store, and he's obsessing about Girl Rays that he thinks are gonna stunt his growth, take away his manhood[no i dont mean it like that, sicko!], and scar him for life. that was again, lame, but very cute. and GEEZ, why'd he have to CRY at the end? being a girl isn't that bad! but the funniest parts were when Jake was bad-mouthing Jessica's boyfriend, Dan Winters, a flirt with bad acne.
awesome..........2000-06-04
i am a guy, and believe it or not, after reading this book, i actually want to know what it is like to be a girl in real life. I thought it was a very good book, and it had lots of action too.

Be Inspired.......2007-09-03
This book is small, but mighty! It is amazingly simplistic yet provides a wealth of inspiration for creative inspiration. The photography is breathtakking.
I think that with practice you can master the cookies, marzipan, gumpaste and fondant decorations in this book. Piping royal icing flowers is a bit more daunting. I would suggest a class or video for royal and butter cream icing flowers Wilton How to Make Icing Flowers DVD because they can be a bit tricky (at least for me.)
This book provides six basic recipes for cookies, cakes and frostings. My hope is that you are purchasing the book for decorating ideas and instruction, not for the recipes. The author's decorating syle is clean, but very elegant. The book provides a strong decorating foundation -- you can use this as a springboard for your imagination.
This is the perfect book if you want to make your first decorated cookies or petit fours. If you are making your first tiered cake this book will provide inspiration, but you may need to supplement it with other sources for complete instruction.
Artistic.......2007-06-08
This is another of those step-by-step cake guides that was very well worth the money. This particular book kept selling out at Michaels so I had to go online and purchase. Definitely not disappointed
Great resource!.......2007-05-20
I just got into cake making and sugar craft and this book is the first I ordered. It is great and I've had a lot of success following Porschens' advice. My only complaint, and it's a small one, is that not all temperatures and cake pan times needed are included. For example, I made a cake from two square 8x8 pans and the only baking directions I could find were for either cupcakes or a sheetcake. Instead of baking at 400 degrees as suggested I lowered the temp to 350 and just kept checking until done. Still came out great, thank goodness. The basic cake recipe tastes wonderful with the soaking syrup (I'd never tried that before)but the sugar cookie recipe was a little bland. Beautiful cookies though! I REALLY like this book and will be happy to take credit for Porschens beautiful dessert designs for years to come!
Really pretty party cakes.......2007-05-08
One of the best. I own a lot of cake decorating books and this is one of my bibles. As somebody said, it's looks as good inside as looks outside. Porshen work is so fresh, clean and neat that you can not stop checking it over and over. I do not like make recommendations, but either if you are a beginner or a professional, you will love this book
recycled ideas.......2007-03-31
I flipped through this book at our local library. I started out being pretty impressed because the book is nicely done, but then I started seeing a lot of recycled ideas from various American cake and cookie artists. That was rather disappointing.
