Author/publisher Pamela M. Johnson first introduces readers to Chyna Azzino in From A Hard Rock to a Gem: Memoir of a Lost Soul. Chyna is originally from East Oakland. After the gossip of her HIV status spreads like a wildfire, Chyna decides it's time to pack it up, she heads off to New York to embark on her modeling career.
Chyna is now a supermodel mogul married to a world renowned doctor with her own exclusive clothing line. Her homes span the country. Far removed is that hood girl with promiscuous ways from East Oakland. Chyna has made it! She and her husband, Sean, after renewing their vows find that the secrecy of her HIV status threatens to disrupt her life, yet again. With religion, Chyna has learned to believe in God and wait for Him. Can someone's faith change their lives?
I'll Cry Tomorrow deals with the strife of living with HIV while under the scope of the paparazzi. Readers are brought up to date with characters of the first book while the importance of forgiveness plays out. Moral yet, semi frustrating with the sameness page after page. After awhile, it made reading a chore instead of something I enjoy.

After meeting Pamela M. Johnson at Bret Harte School during the Agape Book Club meeting, listening to her talk about all the research that was put into this book-I'll cry tomorrow, I just couldn't wait to read it.
I really enjoyed reading I'll cry tomorrow, the book is a spititual read and very educational.
You walk in the shoes of someone living HIV positive.
I recommend you read the book.

Chyna's condition is leaked to a tabloid, and she is faced with deciding if she should deny the allegations or come clean and finally let the world in on her secret. Will her fans still love her? Or will they condemn her due to sins of the past? More importantly, who would leak this information and betray Chyna's trust? And what was their motive?
I'll CRY TOMMORROW is a touching novel that deals with shame, regret and fear. As Chyna is in turmoil over whether to go public with her illness, her faith in God is what gets her through. The word of God keeps her grounded and turns her strife into courage. What I enjoyed most about the book was the development of the characters. Chyna was once an around the way girl who made it big. She didn't let her humble beginnings or her illness deter her from making her dreams come true. If you have any self-doubt and think there is no way your dreams can become a reality, take a look into the life of Chyna Azzino-Milano, and her tenacity and determination will inspire you to reach for the stars.

The Title Says it All.......2004-11-20
Unbelievable! This author is incredible. As with From a Hard Rock to Gem: A Memoir of a Lost Soul, I could not put this book down. A very well documented continuance of the preceeding novel. Chyna has grown and matured, but is still plagued by her past. Excellent. Must read!
Outstanding Novel.......2004-03-11
Pamela M.Johnson has done it again with her book I'll Cry Tomorrow. This book is a pager turn from page one to the end. It gives you and in sight to what some people who are HIV postive must deal with on a daily basic. Chyna is a supermodel and has been expose about being HIV postive and is force to go public with her personal story on the Oprah show. But because of her faith in God she is able to be open and honest about this matter in a ways that many people would not want to be in the first place. I knew once I started to reading this book that I would enjoy this book. I truly look forward to reading more books by this author in the near future.

I don't think Lillian told the full truth in this book. Maybe because of the time it was written one could'nt be as truthful or as graphic as books are now. I expected to feel sorry for her but didn't. Why did she lose all of her money? Was she really that stupid?

Even if you've been following the diverse goings-on of the profilic author J. Michael Straczynski over the decades, you may not know about DELICATE CREATURES. A parable on the roots of Faerie which is as ancient as the oldest woods, and as modern as issues of internal security, DELICATE CREATURES is a superb prose novel finely illustrated by Michael Zulli, known in Sequential circles for his standout work for Neil Gaiman's SANDMAN. Released by Image Comics, by way of its Top Cow imprint, it all but vanished follwing its initial release in 2001.
Known best as the creator, chief scripter, and major domo of the epic televised SF saga, BABYLON 5, Straczynski is a writer's writer, one of the grandmasters of the field. From the impossible task of attempting THE NEW TWILIGHT ZONE in the 1980s, and the eerie wanderings of MIDNIGHT NATION, to the finest tales seen in THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN since the Lee-Ditko-Romita originals, Straczynski is simply the very best at what he does.
DELICATE CREATURES, however, is a particular treat, being
Straczynski's first work delving into the genre of Classic
Fantasy. Never content with simply doing what has been done,
the author concocts a contemporary parable which places the

The Most Poorly Written Story I've Ever Read.......2003-02-04
This is an amazingly bad story. It presents itself as a whimsical fairy tale, but ends up just being a cheap revenge tale; you know the kind, where the author sets up terrible atrocities so that you get the satisfaction of having the bad guys get slaughtered at the end. The story introduces all sorts of potentially interesting-sounding characters, which it then tells you nothing about and play no part in the story.
The story is a tour of every bad writing mistake one can make. The abused main character "Princess" for no understandable reason becomes all-powerful halfway through in order to get her revenge. The style jumps all over the place. It's full of cliches that dont even work together. And the writing is just embarrassing. Listen to this:
"[Trifle] said a word she had never said before to an Owner (leaving aside the fact that before today she had never said anything to an Owner). 'No,' she said."
This is a ridiculous attempt to be dramatic but it makes no sense. The author even realizes his mistake but instead of correcting it, he comments on it and leaves it there. And this kind of innocence-perceiving-horror is everywhere in the book, this "Daddy, why is that man pulling out a knife? Why is he plunging it into mommy's neck?" The story is just coarse and cheap and senseless. Do not buy it if you're older, and unless your intention is to traumatize, do not buy it for a child.
A Darker Type Of Fairy Tale........2002-11-12
Delicate Creatures shatters whatever preconceived notions you might have about Fairy Tales. Starting with a breezy introduction, where we get to know the various Fairies and Sprites inhabiting the walls of a Castle in an anonymous foreign land, the story quickly moves into darker territory, dealing with the real-life terrors of war and genocide. The darker aspects of the tale are dealt with honestly, but delicately enough that younger readers will be able to deal with them. There were parts of the story that brought a lump to my throat; I think that parents and children reading together would find a lot to discuss about Delicate Creatures, particularly the themes of love and loss. The story is told in prose, with occasional illustrations by Artist Michael Zulli. Zulli's art is fantasic and the lush colors (By Steve Firchow) make the pictures come to life. The story, by Babylon 5 creator J. Michael Straczynski, is gut-wrenching at times, but in true Fairy-Tale fashion, things turn out ok in the end. I believe all involved have created a new classic, one that will hopefully be discovered by Parents and Children alike in years to come.
NOT FOR SMALL CHILDREN.......2002-03-29
A wonderful, thoroughly worthwhile book but with some very real mention of torture and other terrors that may be profoundly upsetting to the small - buy it for yourself, but please read carefully in it's entirety before you give this to a child- and know the trauma threshold of the child in question. The tone of the jacket and opening pages is not representative of the work throughout.

Delicate Creatures a beautifully illustrated fantasy story, written by the versatile and talented author J. Michael Stranczynski of television (Babylon 5) and comic book (Rising Stars) fame. although i find a lot of williams-sonoma cookbooks to be a little thin, they always pack gorgeous photos with recipes you can usually trust. this is no exception. i made a double portion of penne a la vodka, without having tried it out previously, for a potluck yesterday. rave reviews! definitely a keeper.

The recipes in this book are very good, and this book is a great place to start if you don't know many pasta recipes yet. It covers many classic dishes, so several of the recipes are not unique to this book. Each of the dishes is nicely photographed.

This is an excellent book for the home chef. It has recipies that even the most timid beginner can sucessfuly (and effortlessly) complete.
It is beautifully photographed. The recipes are concise and easy to follow.
I love the informative sidenotes that accompany each recipe. A beginning cook can learn a lot from reading them.
I recommend this book for all cooks.

This book has great pasta recipes. The fettuccine alfredo is too good for words. This book keeps in line with the series -- well-written recipes, beautiful photos of every dish.
The pasta basics section has good advice on fresh pasta. I wish it would have included info on making it with a food processor. I think that's covered in the new Mastering series from WS, which is billed as more technique than recipe.
Excellent cookbook.......2003-02-10
When I first received this book I pretty much read it from cover to cover. It's a delight. Each recipe has a corresponding full-page photo. Further, a pertinent, and what I found to be enlightening, piece of information is included as a sidenote with each recipe. I wrote down 11 recipes that I plan to try -- more typically two, maybe three, is the number of recipes that I will make from any one cookbook. Anyhow, I have made the bolognese sauce w/ fresh egg pasta and it was excellent. The entire family loved it! The sections are well thought out and can be used as a guide to what you need. Want something fast? Quick Suppers. Something tried & true? the Classics. There were several terrific sounding recipes under Elegant Entertaining. Great to look at, fun to read, and well-chosen recipes. It's a keeper.

I tend to associate Williams-Sonoma with snobbery, and was tentative about this book. However, the recipes are darn good and easy, nothing fru-fru. Making homemade is truly a snap, and now our family loves to make and eat it all the time. This book shows how to make all pasta shapes as well as pasta sauces, with every day ingredients.
Highly recommend to anyone who loves pasta!

I have seen risotto prepared in many different ways, unfortunately there is only one way to properly go about the task. Arborio or Carnaroli rice depending on your choice requires a certain method to extract all of the creaminess from the rice while maintaining a good al dente texture. In this book, the author here has done a wonderful job of illustrating the proper way to produce a quality risotto. Nice photos to give you ideas as risotto leaves much room for experimentation once you have mastered the basics.

Risotto is a wonderful, filling, nutritious meal and can be simple or sophisticated, served at family meals or dinner parties. (It also makes great left-overs!) Whether you're browsing or planning a menu, this book will fulfill your appetite. Each recipe is beautifully illustrated and presented on a separate page with easy-to-follow instructions. Several of the recipes I've tried have become family favorites. Just serve with a fresh baguette, and some can be considered one-dish meals.
