Book Description
Go back to college with Natalie Krinsky in this frothy, first novel from the sex columnist for the Yale Daily News, now in paperback Chloe Carrington is a typical Yale student, except that along with toiling through the usual grind of coursework, she pens a notorious and much-dished-over sex column for the campus newspaper. This touch of scandal has wrought havoc on her social and love life, turning it into an open book. Chloe doesnt help matters much; she likes to share, and cant resist divulging the gory details of her most recent date (or lack thereof) in her column, baring her soul, and sometimes the souls of others, for all to see. And thats where the trouble begins. As Chloe probes the campus hot spots, we get a peek at what goes on behind the Ivy Leagues dormitory doorsfrom drinking at Toads, to Exotic Erotic, Yales answer to a Playboy mansion bash, complete with coeds in skimpy bikinis and a lacrosse team clad only in socks. Of course theres perhaps the most favorite extracurricular activitylots and lots of sex. Teeming with exuberance and late-night shenanigans, Chloe Does Yale is filled with humor and candor about typical college situations, both inside and outside the dorm rooms.

"In CHLOE DOES YALE, Chloe Carrington is a typical Yale student, except that along with her coursework she writes the sex column for the campus newspaper. This has caused her social and love life to come under intense scrutiny, to say the least. And Chloe doesn't help matters, because most of the time she isn't able to resist writing about her most recent date (or lack thereof) in her column, baring her soul for all to see. Along with her friends, she's hoping to hook up with the right guy - but that proves even more difficult than participating in Yale's notorious ""shopping"" session (a two-week period in which students are encouraged to take as many classes as possible, in order to decide what courses to enroll in for that semester). There are lots of details about Yale traditions and insider stuff, from drinking at the Toad to Exotic Erotic (Yale's answer to a Hugh Hefner-style Playboy party, complete with coeds in skimpy bikinis). Sparkling with humor, exuberant and sexy, Natalie Krinsky's first novel is sure to catch readers attentions. "

So - So.......2007-06-20
Compared to some really bad books I have read that actually got better reviews, this one wasn't too bad. Not one I would rush to recommend but entertaining enough. I guess maybe it seemed a tad juvenile since it takes place in college but I guess I should have expected that from the title. Still, I was hoping for a more mature take on the college scene. I mean I'm only 27, it hasn't been that long! Maybe it has something to do with Chloe being fairly straight laced, only a bit scatter-brained, and really not exceptionally wild. Could have been better.
An Awesome Book!.......2007-02-13
This book, though you might not think so, is REALLY good. The title hints at a lot of sex and graphic descriptions throughout the book, but that's not the case at all. The main character, Chloe, is a young, fresh narrator who gives an unfortunate hand job at the beginning of the book (that is the most graphic part of the novel), and from there has to deal with an anonymous e-mail admire, writing her sex column for the Yale newspaper, a slutty friend, a good friend's new relationship, an embarrassing vibrator incident, typical Ivy League schoolwork, and of course, the surprise visit from her ex-boyfriend. I would recommend this book to anybody 16 and older who is looking for a fun, humorous book with a main character who will have warmed your heart by the time you finish the novel.
Boring and Amateurish .......2006-11-12
You know that girl who keeps telling you about all her "funny" college stories? The one who thinks her take on these stories is witty and interesting? The one who just won't shut up? It's as if that girl wrote this book.
I bought this book thinking it would be funny, engaging, and well-written; it was none of those things. The characters are poorly drawn, shallow, and stereotypical: the ultra-feminine gay friend, the prudish conservative roommate, the nerdy friend from high school, the Israeli mother obsessed with marrying off her daughter to a Jew, the WASP prep of a father, the smart Korean girl...and the list goes on. Chloe is by far the worst. A sex columnist who doesn't actually have sex for an entire school year? She is self-obsessed, overly dramatic about her "problems," and just plain boring. Bad characters are forgivable if the plot is interesting, but the plot is worse. There isn't really a plot until maybe half-way through the book, just a string of different college anecdotes that have been done a thousand times before: parties, bars, stressing about midterms, lunching with friends, tailgating, worrying about finding love...nothing actually interesting. I wondered why I was hating the book so much as I read through it and eventually realized it was because the main character didn't have a problem to overcome. She just talked about her life and then wrote (boring and amateurish) columns. The problem finally comes near the end with a prolonged exchange with a mysterious emailer whose identity is obvious from the start.
If this is the caliber of writing and thought that comes out of Yale, then it is not worth the $37,000 a year tuition that is mentioned so often in the book.
Terrible!! .......2006-07-10
Reading this book was nothing short of torture. I wanted to just put it back on the bookshelf, or chuck it, but I stuck it out through the end. What a huge waste of time. Every time I got to one of Chloe's columns in the book I just groaned. What a snoozefest! I would never have read such an uninteresting column if I was college, or even now as an adult. Don't waste your time with this book.
unrealistic & dissapointing.......2006-06-19
If I did not live about 20 minutes from Yale, this book would've been a total waste of my time. I trudged through the first 100 pages or so just because I actually understood all the references to the Yale college scene. Other than that...this book was not worth reading.
I agree with the other reviewers that it's just not as, well...raunchy as one would expect. I felt like I was reading the Sweet Valley High version of Sex and the City. And likewise, if the author wanted to pick a New Haven, CT college to set this novel in, she should've picked Quinnipiac (my alma mater unfortunately...). It would've seemed a lot more realistic set in a mediocre college than Yale for crying out loud!
Overall, I don't recommend this book. It has basically no compelling plot, an immature writing style, and a fairly unrealistic setting, especially if you know what the New Haven/Yale scene is really like. There's better chick-lit (and especially better fluff) out there.
Book Description
The long-awaited third volume of Arthur Pirkle's massive study of the Winchester lever action repeating firearms is now available. It provides all the part-by-part details on the most popular collectible and hunting models of the Winchester series found in previous volumes.
By the early 1890s, smokeless power and high strength alloy steels were close to being perfected. Smokeless powder was revolutionizing the firearms industry. The more powerful propellants were making it possible to accelerate small caliber bullets to double and triple the speeds of black powder. This allowed smaller cartridges and in turn more compact rifles. The high strength steels provided stronger barrel capable of resisting the erosive effects of the smokeless powders burning at far high temperatures than those incurred with black powder.
The Model 1894 was John Browning's modernized version of his ground-breaking Model 1886 design. The internal locking lugs were not only stronger but were faster to actuate, making it possible to cock the rifle for the next shot more quickly than with previous models. New cartridges like the .30-30 and the .32-30 were far more powerful than even the big game cartridges developed for the model 1886 but in a package hardly larger and heavier than the M1892. Almost immediately, the Model 1894 rifle and carbine became "America's deer rifle," a position it still holds today, more than century later.
The Model 1895 was another John Browning design and one developed to handle the powerful new smokeless cartridges like the .30-40 Krag and the .30-06 developed for the U.S. military. The M1895 was a radical departure from previous Winchester lever actions. Its longer receiver was easily capable of handling the long and powerful .30-06 cartridge. The rifle quickly established itself as the premier American big game rifle. Teddy Roosevelt was an early and loyal supporter and hunted throughout the world with the M1895.
Because the Models 1894 and 1895 were developed later and the M1894 remains in production today collector interest in both rifles began later and developed more slowly than with previous Winchester lever actions. Today, that interest is a full peak. Both rifles are plentiful on the collector's market and the prices are far lower than for earlier models. For the price of one M1886 carbine, a collector can assemble a representative collection of M1894s; for the price of two M1866 carbines, a representative collection of M1895s.
As with previous volumes in this series, all parts are described in sequence by serial number range. All markings, dimensions and finishes plus any changes to that part are fully explained and the part illustrated with clear and concise line drawings.
Appendixes contain a history of both rifle's development plus descriptions of the Musket versions of both, serial number charts that have been revised and corrected and new exploded views.

Loved it........2007-03-08
Having read the first 3 volumes helps, but with the intro it isn't totally necessary. It's a wonderful storyline about a female artist who goes to a vampire's house to paint a portrait. Very Goth. Only 4 stars because it leaves you hanging way too much, and you just can't stop reading it.
Better and Better!.......2004-10-02
This story just keeps getting better and better! You can't helped but become wrapped up in the love triangle and the unfolding secrets that keep spreading before you as you learn more about Michael and the other occupants of his mansion. This book is not only better than the first, it tops the second. The art is stunning and boldly beautiful. If you enjoy gothic shoujo manga, then you will adore Model!

Book Description
Natsumi is a regular girl, except for one little detail--she transforms into a hot, curvy woman when she eats scientifically engineered experimental "Miracle Nuts!" A fifth-grader one minute, a supermodel look-alike the next, Natsumi isn't sure who she truly is or where she really belongs. The only person whom she always feels totally herself around is her childhood friend Asuma. But when he tells her that he's going to move to another town, will she lose her best friend forever?!
Customer Reviews:
Great Art, Loveable Characters and A Funny Storyline.......2005-03-12
Instant Teen is a funny and cute manga. In the first volume, we are introduced to Natsumi Kawashima, a fifth-grader who longs to be older and have a hot body.
After eating a packet of strange pink nuts, Natsumi is transformed into an older teen! (about seventeen, I think) The first person to find out is her best friend and neighbor, Asuma Yoneyama. He is shocked to find an older woman sleeping in Natsumi's bed when he comes to pick her up for school!
Natsumi and Asuma have some crazy adventures involving the pink nuts. Natsumi is hired to be a model, goes on a party cruise, and even transforms into a baby!
I gave this manga four stars because even though it's one of my favorites, the storyline is jumpy and kind of confusing. Also, it's printed in authentic right-to-left Japanese style, which makes it kind of hard to read. Don't worry, a guide on how to read is included on the last page which would normally be the first.
The artwork was beautiful and detailed, Haruka Fukushima is an amazing artist!
Instant Teen is a great manga for anyone, although I think it's aimed towards girls. Pick it up for a few laughs and some romance!
What is "adult"? That is the question........2005-02-24
In the real world, it must be a crime to let a young, sexy woman with a kid brain walk around the town without a guardian. Besides she is a *instant teen* so she doesn't know how dangerous her new world is. Oh my dear! She's still wearing her child clothes which is too short for her shape. What's a ...
Relax! It's a sort of slapstick comedy. No one will be harmed. If you are an otaku who would like to analyze something difficult, this is probably NOT for you. (You could analyze some commercialism which is universally observed in monthly magazines, though. I guess the story was once completed in its first 130 pages.)
The plot is simple and time-honored. It is very common: You get annoyed when someone treats you as a kid because you look kid because you're a little kid. Naturally, you want to grow up to be a big man or woman to be treated as an adult. Don't you? So does Natumi. What is not common is: She gets some nuts by chance. Yes, they are the magic nuts!
Tokyopop's line-up news said "Fans of Fruits Basket and Tokyo Mew Mew are sure to delight in this hilarious manga from award-winning creator Haruka Fukushima." Perhaps Instant Teen is interesting for Tokyo Mew Mew lovers. I agree that. Fruits Bascket is, however, very different from Instant Teen. Furuba has the tragic background. Instant Teen doesn't. (That is ok, at least for me. Of course I like Furuba very much. But I don't always read deep stories.)
This is the first volume of four. The second is also avilable now. Vol. 3 is coming soon. It was originally published on Kodansha's monthly shojo manga magazine Nakayoshi whose main target audience is preteen girls. The original title is "Otona ni Nuts". "otona" means "adult"; "ni" is a particle (postposition) similar to "to" of English; "nuts" is a pun of "natte" or "natta", both of them are inflections of verb "naru" which means "be" or "become". So the title is "Please be an adult!" or "I'm an adult now!" This double meaning is a little bit interesting. While Natsumi, the main character, is transformed into a young woman and enjoying it, Asuma, her friend, is even more worrying about her immaturity. He must guard her. He murmurs "She can't do anything without me." (Although he is far from adult, too :-)
Sometimes (or always?) they are in an awkward situation and panic. But their adventures are safe and funny like a short round trip in a theme park. Enjoy it! That won't hurt... By the way, you will see another magical nuts in the next volume.
RANMA 1/2 meets 13 GOING ON 30.......2004-10-02
Natsumi Kawashima is a homely 10-year-old who simply can't wait to grow up. Her next store neighbor and guy friend, Asuma Yoneyama, a boy her age, likes to tease her with the way she does things like stuff apples in her shirt and wrap herself in cellophane.
Then one day while walking to school she passes a barbershop where a hansome barber is cutting a woman's hair. Natsumi is instantly smitten, but then the kindly barber tells her they don't admit youngsters. Depressed and irritated by Asuma's laughing at the situation, she then sees some women handing out samples of nuts. Natsumi asks for some, wanting to drown her sorrows in food, but the woman tells her they're only for adults. Natsumi snaps and grabs a bunch of packets and runs off with them.
At home, she notices the nuts from one bag are pink, and she tries some of those. The next morning she wakes up late for school and rushes out without meeting her parents, and then when she runs into the barber from before finds she's suddenly aged 8 or 9 years overnight and become a lucious, mega-hot super babe. Shoked and confused at first, Natsumi soon finds she likes being a young adult (it's what she wanted, after all), especially when the barber, Toji Yashiki, asks her out on a date. She then comes home, managing to get back to her room unnoticed, and and is worried about what she's going to do, but then suddenly turns back into a kid again. She wonders what happened that evening while munching the nuts, and wakes up the next morning an 18-year-old again! Of course, it's not long before Asuma finds out.
Things get even more complicated when Natsumi is kidnapped by the assistants of androgemous scientist Dr. Yunosuke Morinomiya, who invented the nuts that turn Natsumi into her older self. Yunosuke had Natsumi brought over to tell her about what's going on (though the measures to do so were quite drastic indeed. Everytime Natsumi eats the nuts, she'll become an adult for 8 hours. Yunosuke warns Natsumi not to eat anymore nuts, as they're still in the experimental stage and could have unexpected side effects. This means new problems, however, as Toji has already asked adult-type Natsumi on a date on a Sunday ocean cruise...
Already, I'm hooked. This manga has cute character designs, (especially Natsumi when she becomes a teenager-yowza!) lots of great humor, and I love all the characters. My favorite scene in this first volume is when the pills cause a side effect and Natsumi turns into a baby! (The only downside is that they get her back to normal almost immeadietly after. I would have liked to have seen more done with this particular plot development. Alas, no.) Anyway, I'm now looking forward to part 2!

This book surprised me in beeing very fresh and uptodate even though it was written 4 years ago, it feels as if it is truely is timeless and contains a wide range of toys even though I must admit that I for one thought that it would contain more info on the specific toylines instead it contained general information on the toys in general, which is a shame realy - there are some mistakes made in this book they are not everywhere but they are not hard to find either - recomended to toy dealers in generall but if you are looking for info on one particular series then you'd better pass this one by and look for a book on the topic in question

Have you ever wondered what life was like in Jesus' day? Assignment Precious Cargo is a fun-filled historical novel that takes place in just such a setting--Jerusalem in the first century A.D. Author Wynell Brooks Hutson will take you on the journey of a lifetime as you share in the humor, suspense, tragedy, and romance of two families in God's service--one of men and one of donkeys. Follow along as the fast-paced events unfold parallel to the birth, crucifixion, and resurrection of Jesus and the exile of the Apostle John to Patmos. Watch as Satan and his powers of darkness contend with donkeys, angels, and dauntless men to prevent fulfillment of Old Testament prophecies and the safe delivery of the only copy of the Book of Revelation to the seven churches in Asia. You will learn that a story about biblical times doesn't have to be dull, but can be fun and tender, and as rip-roaring an adventure as any Western thriller. Its message is: God honors His Word. Full of adventure and inspiration, Assignment Precious Cargo is an enjoyable tale for all ages.
Customer Reviews:
An exciting, suspense-filled journey through Jesus' time!.......2006-12-01
This remarkable novel of biblical historical times is told through the eyes of a family of donkeys and their owners who lived through this most significant period---from the Nativity to Jesus' death on the cross to the receipt of the Gospel of Revelation from John and its transmission to the seven churches of Asia.
The life of the common man (and beast) in that period is vividly portrayed and brings each character to life, and the action makes the book difficult to put down. One can easily become immersed in the period as they travel through the biblical lands with the aid of their faithful beasts of burden who know them so well.
This novel is thoroughly enjoyable for people of all ages--teenagers through the most senior citizens. The author, Wynell Brooks Hutson, has faithfully followed the timeline of that era as well as the customs and traditions of the people.
This book brings the most important time and events in the Bible to life and allows us to live with the family and their donkeys as they help deliver the precious cargo in each of the key scenes in Jesus' life and crucifixion to the receipt from John of His revelation. It is a remarkable story that will be treasured by the whole family.

Book Description
By the mid-1800s, the street corners of New York City were home to several thousand homeless, abandoned and orphaned children. These poor unfortunates were often the sons and daughters of newly arrived immigrants, separated from their parents or relatives in the confusion and chaos of Ellis Island and forced by circumstance to fend for themselves. Although some found refuge in orphanages and sanitariums, these facilities were inadequate in number and often lacked the resources to provide for more than a handful at a time. Those that remained on the street frequently turned to theft and burglary, or even prostitution as a means of survival, thus compounding the city's already rampant crime problem. Clearly a solution was needed for the good of both New York City and its orphan population.
Relief came with the establishment of the Children's Aid Society in 1853 by one Charles Loring Brace. Brace was a theologian and a reformer who's answer to New York's orphan problem was a practice known simply as placing out. The society would gather likely orphans and send them west by train in groups of anywhere from six to one hundred individuals, stopping at predetermined destinations where it was known foster homes were available. The American West was at this time in critical need of laborers in both agriculture and industry, and many families were eager to provide a foster home to a child who was willing to work. Children would be periodically checked on by an agent of the society and were required to write the society at least twice a year describing their experiences. As with any foster care system, placing out could be a hit-or-miss affair¾many children would bounce from home to home and some were returned to New York as undesirables. There were many success stories however, with orphans finding supportive homes and loving foster families. Some were actually adopted into the families with which they were placed. All faced the challenge of a new life in unfamiliar surroundings, without the comfort of friends, and relatives left behind.
The orphan trains of the Children's Aid Society ran until 1929. This text presents a brief history of the phenomena and the intriguing account of one of its agents the Rev. Mr. Herman Clarke. He entered the employ of the Society in 1900, and was a tireless devotee of the children entrusted to his care. His ministry was in Dodge Center, MN, and he was later placed in charge of Children's Homes in Cincinnati, OH and Battle Creek, MI. Over the years he traveled thousands of miles on the rails with his orphan charges, and received as many as two-thousand letters a year from them. In the twilight of life, the reverend began to compile scrapbooks for his grandchildren detailing both the family's genealogy and his years spent working with the society. Six out of the seven scrapbooks have been discovered by the author and they form the basis of this history which is told primarily in the words of Rev. Clarke and his orphans. The text is enriched by numerous photographs of orphans and their foster families, as well as facsimiles of advertisements published by the society, and a special section of orphan train poetry.
Customer Reviews:
GREAT reference for Orphan Train research!.......2005-05-15
This is an extremely resourceful book for anyone who wants to learn about or better understand the Orphan Train era of American history. Reading the journals and seeing the photos from Rev. Clarke who was a placing agent during this time, will give the reader great insight into how this movement came to be and why it was sustained for so many years. As the granddaughter of an orphan train rider, I was pleased to read of Rev. Clarke's genuine concern for the children he placed and the value he put on each little life.
A Researchers Paradise.......2001-11-16
Clark Kidder documents Rev. Clarke's regions of operation--Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri. The journals and notes of Rev. Clarke show his great caring and concern for these orphan children. In some cases, there are personal notes from the children he placed.
Ever wonder why so many children went to Hopkinton, Ia. when the area could not support them? Rev. Clarke's journals and notes reveal information on at least 80 of these mystery children. There are over 400 children listed in these pages.
These pages document the placement history of these children. They reveal how many times, the same children would have to be moved before a suitable home could be found for them, and why the same children appear on more than one state's lists. It documents how sometimes children would be picked up locally and transported further down the line. Kidder points out how sometimes the children would wander away from the trains to disappear forever.
No orphan train research is complete without reading this facinating book.

train project. What a monumental impact on American history that is! It is astounding that this knowledge is not part of the commonly known events that shaped our nation. I hope the first person reports of Rev. Clarke found in this compilation will correct some of that void in history.

An Exceptional Book!.......2001-06-07
I found Mr. Kidder's book to be fascinating. The photos of the dozens of little orphans are so endearing, and the stories of their trials and triumphs are immensely entertaining. Rev. H. D. Clarke was truly a remarkable individual. You'll find this book impossible to put down after you begin reading it. The balance of the book is told in Rev. Clarke's own words, and those of the orphans, which gives one an intimate and historical look at a most remarkable chapter in America's history.

Television cooking shows are occasionally moderately entertaining to watch, but as sources for usable recipes and good cooking ideas, they are hit or miss at best. Cookbooks based on cooking shows are even less likely to be useful in the kitchen. One shining exception is Julia Child's "Master Chef" series. One of the best cooking shows ever produced, it also yielded some wonderful cookbooks, including Cooking With Master Chefs. The latest is Baking With Julia, which features the creations of 26 top bakers. All are artists with flour, eggs, butter, and the other ingredients of their craft. Writer Dorie Greenspan is a master at her craft as well. The paste for eclairs, she writes, is transformed from "ordinary-looking batter" into "a puffed pastry that appears to be threatening flight." It's all definitely good enough to eat.
Book Description
Hands on baking with recipes and techniques that teach you how to make great breads, pies, cobblers, cookies, cakes, and pasties, both sweet and savory. A world-class course in baking for new and practiced bakers alike.
Baking with Julia is not only a book full of glorious recipes but also one that continues Julia's teaching tradition. Basic techniques come alive and are easily comprehensible in recipes that demonstrate the myriad ways of raising dough, glazing cakes, and decorating crusts. This is the resource you'll turn to again and again for all your baking needs.
Baking with Julia presents an extraordinary assemblage of talent, knowledge, and artistry from the new generation of bakers whose vision is so much a part of this book. The list of contributors reads like a Who's Who of today's master bakers: Flo Braker, Steve Sullivan, Marcel Desaulniers, Nick Malgieri, Alice Medrich, Nancy Silverton, Martha Stewart, and a host of bright new talents such as Jeffrey Alford and Naomi Duguid.
With nearly 200 recipes, and half as many pages of full-color photographs, this incomparable kitchen companion goes far beyond what most cookbooks offer. More than 50 pages of illustrated reference sections define terms and techniques, and explain the hows and whys of batters and doughs. If you've never made flaky pie crust, your first no-fail experience is at hand.
From chocolate to cheesecake, from miniature gems to multitiered masterpieces-this cookbook is a total immersion experience in the wonder of home baking.
Customer Reviews:
Baking Bible.......2007-09-16
I have had this book since it first came out. This is, by far, the baking bible for those of us who adore to bake on weekends. Recipes I continually come back to are the Vanilla Pound Cake, which I often make for neighbors at Christmas. And the unbelieveable blueberry muffins which are worth the price of the book!!! Boca Negra, the flourless chocolate cake is to die for, along with Sunny Side Up Apricot pastry. Enormous popovers which I still love to watch on the PBS show where Julia speaks of honey dripping down to her elbows.
Yes the receipes are sometimes time consuming---this is not a quick bake approach. Where else can you learn from the top pastry chefs and pay thousands for cooking school? The photos are increadible, the book has a nice size and receipes, while detailed, are easy to follow. Enjoy!
A classic........2007-06-08
With Dorie Greenspan's writing, Julia Child's inimitable personality shines through the well thought out recipes. You learn all the basics and how to build on them to achieve greater proficiency as a baker. It is a classic.
Absolutely my favorite baking book.......2007-03-24
The best part of this gem --besides the touch of Julia --is the variety. While many baking books specialize in one kind of baking [cakes, breads, sweets, breakfast, and so on], this book has a wide variety of truly excellent recipes in a wide variety of styles. Of course that makes sense, since it is a compilation of the best recipes of many accomplished bakers. Everything I have made from this book has been truly excellent, and has introduced me to worthwhile authors. I especially have enjoyed the flatbreads and associated recipes from Alford/Duguid; the savory italian egg-pepper-spinach-cheese-meat torte; the plum cakes; and the Italian "X" cookies.
Wonderful addition if you're a baker!.......2007-03-09
I just received my book recently and have already made several things from it. Yes, some recipes are a little time consuming but the results will knock your socks off--just follow the instructions exactly. I love to bake and this will be my baking Bible now. Wished there were more step-by-step photos but it still works for me. You have to be serious about baking in order to truly appreciate all the work involved in these recipes.
Normally my results NEVER look like what you see in the book or on her TV show but I have been ecstatic as everything has come out exactly like I've seen on Julia's wonderful TV series from which this book is based.
For best results, read the recipe thoroughly first...not just glance it over. Then write down all the ingredients you need and verify that you actually have them. Follow the recipe step-by-step and you will absolutely LOVE your results. I am so happy to have finally purchased this that I'm going to make something every weekend now.
It's such a nice, big, heavy book that will be a wonderful addition to your other cookbooks. Bon appetit!
A gift my daughter almost didn't get........2007-03-09
For the serious baker, your cookbook collection is really not complete without this reprint. Gorgeous illustration and wonderful recipes in Julia's own no-nonsense style.
