THE BOOK WAS GREAT AND ALL, BUT WHAT PISSES ME OFF IS THAT SOME OF THESE BLACK WOMEN IN THESE STORIES HAVE A BOYFRIEND OR A HUSBAND, AND THEYRE OUT THERE CHEATIN OR HAVIN AN AFFAIR. WHAT KINDA SH!# IS THAT?!!!! THATS WHY NOBODY CAN TRUST THESE WOMEN. I LOVE THEM, BUT I KNOW THAT IM NOT GONNA BE HAVIN NO LASTIN RELATIONSHIP WITH THEM. CAUSE THATS NOT WHAT THEY WANT. A Great Sequel.......2003-03-20
After reading # 1 and #2, my opinion is that the editor maintained the same level of excellence in her selection of works, which is not always easy to achieve as the example of Suzy Bright's once-great Best American Erotica series has proven recently. It is a delight to read erotica that is fleshed out (no pun intended), and the pieces in this collection truly work as stories even when they are not overly sexual, as do some of the better selections in Maxim Jakubowski's Mammoth Book series (I'm thinking of THE DRESS, CUCKOO, THE NAUGHTY YARD, THE STORY OF NO, and so on). There are some big names in this one, Zane, Nelson George, Tananarive Due, Timmothy B. McCann, Shay Youngblood; and some returning favorites who are even better the second time around, Leone Ross and Preston L. Allen. Leone hinted in BS # 1 that she had a kinky side, but in this one she leaves no doubt that she is a straight up freak. Preston manages again to tell a story that is both captivating and stimulating.
Brown Sugar is HOT.......2003-03-04
Brown Sugar 2 lives up to the same high standards set by the first Brown Sugar anthology. It's smart and sexy - each story stimulates the mind and body. I especially loved "Sit" for it's unpredictable and delicious ending.
Erotic One Night Stands.......2003-03-01
Brown Sugar 2 is an erotic tribute to one night stands. Tales from notable authors, such as Zane, Tananarive Due, Bernice McFadden, Nelson George, and Timmothy McCann, give the reader different views and insights as to why people have one night stands. From loneliness, to loss of a loved one, to just wanting to have sex with "no strings attached", this book has it all and explains the motivations as well as the actual act of one night stands.
Although a work of fiction, the book is so graphic and vivid, the stories and characters come to life. In addition, Brown Sugar 2 is highly erotic and conveys the message that a one night stand can be erotic, therapeutic, and at times necessary. I highly recommend this book to any one who enjoys erotica, as well as any one who is just looking for a good read.

Amazing books!
Doesn't Have Too Much To Offer (Rating: 5 out of 10- -2.5 stars).......2007-08-14
So I read this book on how to help pick up women, because the title looks so promising. I read it and basically it doesn't have too much to offer. It doesn't give straight foward help, it kinda beats around the bush. I have learned some new things in this book, such as how to start conversations with women and ask openended questions with them (expect the phrase "Whats your story" about 1000 times). But basically, the information in this book is vague. It does not give instant results like we guys all planned to, but it gives you a starting point and hangs you out to dry on your road to being a PUA instead of a chump.
Being a 20 year old college student and living in a city full of females who are stuck up, I figured this book would help out. Unfortunately, it did not do me too much justice. If you guys found success in this book with the opposite sex, give yourself a pat on the back. Funny that female reviewers (like the one below me), might get a joke out of this book because they go around making others feel like crap. I for one really don't recommend this book because of it's vague subject matter. If you want to read a good book, I recommend How to Succeed with Women, because that book gives more info into detail. It has to be said, guys; WOMEN CAN READ! And we're reading these male dating guides faster than you are and we know all the tricks. Play them and you'll be labeled a loser before you get to flash that charming smile.
I have a college-age daughter and she and her friends have a collection of these books (The Game, Mystery Method, PBDG, etc.) that they pass back and forth and laugh about, belittling guys they've caught in the act of trying to employ what they've read. It's kinda sad.
And worse, every women's talk show has turned these books inside out. Any woman with a television will spot the act and you may lose out on a promising encounter.
Go back to being yourself. You're a lot more attractive than you think!
Basic but available elsewhere.......2007-07-27
While 'The Layguide' does cover the aspects of a succesful pickup, it is a fairly rudimentary guide. All the information in this book is also available in any of the sedution community sites. Fast Seduction has practically this entire book.
If you're truly interested, read 'the game' and then check out the seduction forums. It will benefit your wallet more...

This is the most boring book he has written.The best part about this book was litteraly the end. It sucked all the way through. It lost my attention .

"Gets No Love" was impressive. If truth be told, this book wasn't necessarily my first pick after learning the story line included a "rap star". However, after reading "Someone's In The Kitchen", also by Eric Pete, I was curious. Let me be the first to say, preconceived or stereo-typed ideas could cause you to miss out on this great read. A novel that is about lives we and or our loved ones have likely been exposed to. At the end of chapter 42 I was joyful, but quickly there was a turn. Emotions from sadness with tears to happiness roamed back and forth through me until the last page. You have to read the whole book to understand the emotions and yours could start in the beginning, midway or towards the end. Find out for yourself.

This book was the next best thing to being there! It will leave you wanting more. I felt like I was there with the characters the whole time. Being deeply in love with someone can make you so vunerable. The story was incredible and I could relate to the setting in New Orleans, it just brought everything in so clearly, the street names, parks, projects, it was all so real to me. Can't wait to start reading "Someone's in the Kitchen and Real To Me. Thanks Eric, keep up the good work.

Eric Pete put it down on "Gets No Love", I felt as though I was on the sidelines watching the whole story unfold. The characters were people that I could relate to. I am on my way to buy the rest of his books and to tell others to do the same.

This is a great book that reveals not only that you need to live your life, but also gives ways to start you on your way. It first deals with the idea that there is no one who will be your "twin flame" or who will complete you. After that, the author gives you a method to find out what you want out of life and then how to attain it. The things you want are not just going to come your way; planning and execution are necessary steps. By the book, I have written down the steps I need to take to meet some of my goals and have started on my path. And I just got the book yesterday! This book is an excellent motivator!

WHERE HAS THIS BOOK BEEN ALL MY DATING LIFE???.......2005-05-11
WOW! This book is such an easy reader and very hard to put down. It isn't the biggest book on earth, but it is packed with good insight. The author uses straight forward language to express the point "there are no soulmates" and more specifically "be your own soulmate". The message is to not wait around to live and enjoy life based on the hope of this other wonderful person coming along to complete you. Complete yourself! If you have been through dating H*ll like so many of us 30+ folks out here, this is just the *pick me up* to get you moving toward living your heart's desires and having your dreams come true - with or without someone to share and enhance your life.
My best friend- a psychology major - always says "be happy with yourself and by yourself and that way if someone wonderful does come along it is great and if the right person doesn't come along that is ok too, because you are happy with yourself and by yourself." AMEN TO THAT!

One of Joel Goldsmith's Best!.......2001-06-16
Sunday, June 10, 2001, Dr. O. C. Smith, Founder and Spiritual Director of the 5000 member City of Angels Church of Religious Science, had this book in his hand. As one of his students, I immediately went to the bookstore after the service and bought this book although I already own numerous books by the author.
After only reading a few short paragraphs I knew that I had been Divinely Guided to read "Awakening Mystical Consciousness." Goldsmith is very clear and teaches the "way" to begin to discover and unfold the consciousness of the mystic in all of us. He takes the reader through the steps to a change in consciousness and begins his lesson in the "Word" versus the Truth, which so many in the metaphysical community struggle with. This book can be read within a few short hours, but the study of it may take years.
