This is one of the best books I ever read, english or spanish. If you are first starting to read the chronicles of narnia I think this should be the last book you read. For it's the last one. This book has alot of religion in it it makes you really think about it. I lov' the Narnian stories

How predictable.......2006-07-12

I'm fascinated by native american novels, as well as good romances. I also understand that the author writes her novels in liesure, but i didn't find this book at all entertaining. i read through it quickly hoping it would get better, but to no avail.

All the events that ensued were extremely predictable with little build up. Just one thing after the next as the characters guessed. i was also annoyed with the heroine. she was dumb and thick headed, i was thoroughly perturbed by her decisions.

The plot however was alright, the execution and story telling was lacking.

fine "Storm" tale.......2005-01-26

In the Arizona Territory Colonel George Whaley leads a massacre of the Apache. One tribesman Storm watches the military slaughter his people and kill his parents. Now the chief of his tribe Storm vows to avenge the deaths of his parents and his people at the hands of the soldiers.

Storm sees his opportunity to begin avenging what Whaley did to his family when he abducts half-breed Shosona, the daughter of his enemy. To his shock, however, Storm is attracted to Shosona. She reciprocates his deepest feelings. While Storm's plans go awry because he is in love, the Colonel is coming to destroy his foe.

The cast is realistic whether they are the protagonists, the antagonists, or secondary characters running the gamut of the tribe, the military, or white civilians. The story line is deep and descriptive bringing to life the first decade following the Civil War in a vivid manner as few tales do. However, as with seemingly the entire "Storm" novels, one size fits all as the plot comes out of the Cassie Edwards' Indian romance mold. Still fans of the series and someone who has never read Ms. Edwards before will take immense delight in this picturesque tale of love and hate in 1873 in the Southwest United States.

The stories are fairly even... only a few stand out and none are particularly bad. I enjoyed reading it as a 40k player... more fluff!!

brilliant starting place for new comers.......2007-09-04

i've been collecting warhammer books for about 7 years now and have over a hundered, so i'm pretty well versed in it's universe. when i saw this book i snapped it up instantly but was a bit dissapointed to learn that most of the stories (about 80%) were from books i already own. however, in all fairness to black library, they have collected some of the best, most memorable stories in this one awesome (and very large) tome. for those interested in introducing others to the world of warhammer 40,000 or if you're a new comer, i can't recommend a better book to begin with.

it won't answer all the questions you have about warhammer but it will give you a pretty solid foundation and it will whet your appetite for more black library books...beware, once you start, you'll never want to stop (that is if you're into hot blooded, fast paced, violent sci-fi action)!

A Great Read For SF & Warhammer 40k Fans!.......2006-06-29

I don't follow the WH40k universe and have only read 1 other Warhammer compilation. I am a rabid SF/Fantasy reader though, and the short stories in this compilation are great! The stories are interesting and make you feel as though you are a participant. Lots of action and well fleshed out characters abound. Couple a low list price with a whopping 1+ pound book weight and this is a sure fire hit if you like SF and/or Warhammer.

First off, anything written by Sylvia Browne is going to be GREAT!! I truly loved reading this book. It helped me in alot of ways, not only with my deceased father but with other family members that have past on. And learning about what the other side is like, is exciting and it sounds so lovely. It filled me with so much joy that I'll read it over and over. This book is for all those people searching for their spiritual side and a meaning to why they are here.

A look at the afterlife.......2007-05-20

Sylvia Browne has confirmed much of what I thought was true and added a dimension to the afterlife that I hadn't thought about. What she confirmed was that God is a God of love, not vengence. That God loves everyone despite their religious affiliation or lack of one. Christians, Jews, Buddists, Animists and all other religions are in the Afterlife. She doesn't use the word "Heaven", possibly because other religions have another word for it. Something that she said that I hadn't thought about previously is that the afterlife is in another dimension which is about five feet above the ground.

If I sound gullible, then possibly I am, but most people who will buy this book are people who are seeking and if what Sylvia Browne says resonates with their beliefs, they are going to see that as confirming that they are right. If they are skeptical, they may not find anything that they can believe in this book.

Comforting and spiritual.......2007-04-26

This book was one of the best books I have ever read for what I went through. My mother past and I was very unsettled about her passing. Of course having all the questions everyone else wants to know. Did they make it what now are they happy. This book was perfect for helping me accept my mothers passing and making me feel closure knowing how happy my mother is now in heaven. Knowing she will be doing things that she only dreamed about and watching over us all. Knowing she can see it all instead of wondering if she knew anything.

The best book I have ever read that helped me in my life and spirit.

I enjoyed every moment of that book that I passed it onto someone else who just lost a loved one. And it helped them as well.

Wonderfully Written Book!.......2007-04-10

My fallopian tube ruptured almost killing me on Dec 15, 2005 and I went to the other side while the doctor's tried to revive me and gave me a blood transfussion. This is what it is really like there. I felt so at home after reading this book because it all made perfect sense to me at last. A short time after reading this book I was contacted by my own spirit guide for the first time and now I know how to communicate with her and I am no longer afraid of spirits and guides because they are here to help us if we want them to.
