I did have tons of fun reading this book. As a Latin I do love a lot Cuquita's character because she represents many people I know. She has the pepper of the story.

The whole plot is treated in an amusign way so you will never, ever get bored.

Debo confesar que durante los primeros capítulos tenía el prejuicio de que lo que leía era un libro malo, escazo de literatura, hasta que poco a poco capté el concepto: Esquivel de una forma muy sutil, logra a través de una técnica que se vale de un lenguaje muy coloquialmente popular, de una narrativa muy simple pero efectiva, de un estilo sin complicaciones, transmitir su mensaje de La Ley del Amor. En efecto sólo como Mexicano puede apreciársele en su nivel de comicidad, pero considero que el no serlo no descarta en lo absoluto el poder disfrutar el libro ampliamente ("graciosidad" incluida). El recurso de ilustraciones hermosas + música clásica y música popular resulta muy bien logrado, opinión personal.

Al final de cuentas, esta obra logró "convertirme" de mi prejuicio inicial, a mi opinión final: una creación literaria muy entretenida que *NO* es pretenciosa (lo cual es clave de su buen resultado) y que por tanto, bien se merece el crédito al que se hace acreedor> un buen libro que no pretende ser más que una lectura grata para su lector.

Less publicized than Like water for chocolate but ..........2002-12-30

...almost as much fun.

Whereas in Like water for chocolate emotions are passed on to others through food, in this book the medium is music. The book comes with a CD and through the story there are indications as to when to play each track. Although this implied having to be in proximity of a CD player while reading, it was a lot of fun and the music selection is quite interesting as well.

Loved it and hated it!.......2007-07-30

I found the erotic scenes in this book unbelieveably hot, and the first half of the book amazed and astounded me. I couldn't wait to read the rest and buy dozens more books from this author. However, I was severely dissapointed with the rest of the book from the point of when Austen discovers who her mystery man was. She has everything with him, a great sex life, a partner who loves and cherishes her, and will do anything to be with her, and a man who is very attractive and successful. Suddenly her two dream men have become one. Why would she run away from him?! I can understand a chapter or two of confusion, feelings of betrayal, fear, shame, etc, but why over extend the agony for countless chapters?

I was tortured with conflict feelings of loving the book and being angry and saddened by the change of events.
I found the many scenes in which Tyler pours his heart out to her Austen she says she doesn't love him heartbreaking and I must admit I cried through the entire second half of the book. Ok, so call me sentimental, but I almost felt the author forced illogical conflict into the book for drama. She is a very talented writer(obviously, if she had such an impact on me and kept me hooked), the characters very believable, and the sex scenes very hot and romantic, but I found it difficult to close the book happy with the happy ending after the extensive pain and anguish which Tyler went through. Anyone else feel similarly?
Synopsis: Read with caution, not reccommended for the highly sensitive.

This book is a page turner, as Austin embarks on a journey toward personal goals of breaking out of her lackluster, depressed love life and her stagnant professional life. I couldn't put the book down following the twists and turns of Austin's lessons in sex--and eventually in love. Not to mention her advancing professional life. The anonymous sex with a mysterious stranger on a public bus and then in isolated locations is a definite plus.

well,it started on very nicely and promising,but to tell the truth I didn't like Austin's reaction to Alonso's real Identity.
how come she didn't suspect it was him all the time,when she can always feel his nearness?anyway,I thought that she acted very badly with Tyler,and he was very sweet and understanding.. may be I was expecting better,that's why I was a bit disappointed with this story,but it's a nice read,not very erotic.

Catherine Ponder has written an exceptionally powerful and practical book, "The Prospering Power of Love" taking a spiritual approach to manifesting abundance and prosperity in your life. I am now reading this book for a second time and I'm realizing the potency of this book with deeper understanding.

I am now experiencing a more complete understanding of the workings of Divine Love in one's life, and how Divine Love is connected to the process of healing and manifesting in one's life.

Firstly we are to realize that love exists within, and that we are to consciously connect to this inner centre of love and by means of releasing any blockages radiate the energy of Divine love always. Love will change your life.......2003-04-16

Catherine Ponder has got be one of THE MOST influential inspiration writers that I have ever come across. Her words are timeless, as are the messages, yet, after one reads her books, it is all really very simple, yet it is we who complicate it all, thus complicating our own lives!! I have read this book at least twice and it is one of my "must haves" in my library.

Ponder helps the reader look at all situations in one's lives though new eyes - the eyes of love and forgiveness. Releasing, forgiving, and loving are all that one really needs to live a most joyous and abundant life. "Release is a form of forgiveness that we all need to practice often. Emotional release is one of the highest forms of love." If one has feelings of low self-esteem, low self worth and feelings of helplessness, I guarantee that after reading this book, one "can" change themselves, as well as their life around forever.

We are taught through her teachings of love, that we can heal ourselves on many different levels, including success in our business lives. One of my favorite quotes (and there are many) from the book is, "Whatever your problem it is but a test in love. If you meet that test through love, your problem will be solved. If you do not meet that test through love, your problem will continue until you do! Your problem is your initiation into love."

One only needs faith and trust to conquer that which holds us in bondage.

I absolutely love this book and when fear creeps in, this book is amazing to refer back to once again let love shine and to live in the light.

I rarely read a book more than once, but I read this book 3 times in 2 weeks. Three days after the first reading of this book and using the affimations I had a demonstration ( I won something I needed that was worth $57.00). I was flabergasted. I never win anything. There is also a really neat method in it you can use to solve all kinds of problems (relationship, financial, health etc). This method has brought inner change and growth in me. Buy this book. It will be the best 6 bucks you've ever spent. It has been for me. I highly recommend it.
