Neal Stephenson enjoys cult status among science fiction fans and techie types thanks to Snow Crash, which so completely redefined conventional notions of the high-tech future that it became a self-fulfilling prophecy. But if his cyberpunk classic was big, Cryptonomicon is huge... gargantuan... massive, not just in size (a hefty 918 pages including appendices) but in scope and appeal. It's the hip, readable heir to Gravity's Rainbow and the Illuminatus trilogy. And it's only the first of a proposed series--for more information, read our interview with Stephenson.
Cryptonomicon zooms all over the world, careening conspiratorially back and forth between two time periods--World War II and the present. Our 1940s heroes are the brilliant mathematician Lawrence Waterhouse, cryptanalyst extraordinaire, and gung ho, morphine-addicted marine Bobby Shaftoe. They're part of Detachment 2702, an Allied group trying to break Axis communication codes while simultaneously preventing the enemy from figuring out that their codes have been broken. Their job boils down to layer upon layer of deception. Dr. Alan Turing is also a member of 2702, and he explains the unit's strange workings to Waterhouse. "When we want to sink a convoy, we send out an observation plane first.... Of course, to observe is not its real duty--we already know exactly where the convoy is. Its real duty is to be observed.... Then, when we come round and sink them, the Germans will not find it suspicious."
All of this secrecy resonates in the present-day story line, in which the grandchildren of the WWII heroes--inimitable programming geek Randy Waterhouse and the lovely and powerful Amy Shaftoe--team up to help create an offshore data haven in Southeast Asia and maybe uncover some gold once destined for Nazi coffers. To top off the paranoiac tone of the book, the mysterious Enoch Root, key member of Detachment 2702 and the Societas Eruditorum, pops up with an unbreakable encryption scheme left over from WWII to befuddle the 1990s protagonists with conspiratorial ties.
Cryptonomicon is vintage Stephenson from start to finish: short on plot, but long on detail so precise it's exhausting. Every page has a math problem, a quotable in-joke, an amazing idea, or a bit of sharp prose. Cryptonomicon is also packed with truly weird characters, funky tech, and crypto--all the crypto you'll ever need, in fact, not to mention all the computer jargon of the moment. A word to the wise: if you read this book in one sitting, you may die of information overload (and starvation). --Therese Littleton
Book Description
With this extraordinary first volume in what promises to be an epoch-making masterpiece, Neal Stephenson hacks into the secret histories of nations and the private obsessions of men, decrypting with dazzling virtuosity the forces that shaped this century.
In 1942, Lawrence Pritchard Waterhouse - mathematical genius and young Captain in the U.S. Navy - is assigned to detachment 2702. It is an outfit so secret that only a handful of people know it exists, and some of those people have names like Churchill and Roosevelt. The mission of Watrehouse and Detatchment 2702-commanded by Marine Raider Bobby Shaftoe-is to keep the Nazis ignorant of the fact that Allied Intelligence has cracked the enemy's fabled Enigma code. It is a game, a cryptographic chess match between Waterhouse and his German counterpart, translated into action by the gung-ho Shaftoe and his forces.
Fast-forward to the present, where Waterhouse's crypto-hacker grandson, Randy, is attempting to create a "data haven" in Southeast Asia - a place where encrypted data can be stored and exchanged free of repression and scrutiny. As governments and multinationals attack the endeavor, Randy joins forces with Shaftoe's tough-as-nails grandaughter, Amy, to secretly salvage a sunken Nazi sumarine that holds the key to keeping the dream of a data haven afloat. But soon their scheme brings to light a massive conspiracy with its roots in Detachment 2702 linked to an unbreakable Nazi code called Arethusa. And it will represent the path to unimaginable riches and a future of personal and digital liberty...or to universal totalitarianism reborn.
A breathtaking tour de force, and Neal Stephenson's most accomplished and affecting work to date, CRYPTONOMICON is profound and prophetic, hypnotic and hyper-driven, as it leaps forward and back between World War II and the World Wide Web, hinting all the while at a dark day-after-tomorrow. It is a work of great art, thought, and creative daring; the product of a truly icon

Lightweights beware.......2007-10-03
I'm willing to allow for taste - I'm certain there will be many who dislike Stephenson's style. If you are not captivated by the end of the first few chapters, don't continue. Really. It's not for you.
If you want a "tightly edited", "page-turner", "techno-thriller", this is not the book you're looking for either. Go read Clancy again. Nothing wrong with that.
If you are anxious for a challenge that has nothing (much) to do with the vanity of the author (in contrast to Ulysses, for example), and/or an interest in (choose one or more) economics, WWII, mathematics, submarines, submarine cables or the underlying motivations of the denizens of a technological society, look no further.
This book is a GREAT pleasure. I dislike profanity and usually set aside books that use it. I love this book in spite of abundant profanity.
It's even more fun when one finds smart people using sly Cryptonomicon references in various prominent forums.
This is a sprawling, ramifying book. It is not a tight drive to a fixed destination, but an inclusive look at its topics. Think Melville, not Danielle Steele.
Finally - if you feel like the story cut off early (and some commentary seems to tend that way), you really didn't understand what was going on. I'm sorry you missed the big payoff. The author wasn't lazy - he was spot on.
great book on codes and code breaking.......2007-09-20
there is a great, if challenging, book on codes and code breaking, Cryptonomicon, by Neal Stephenson. The Nazi's had the supposedly unbreakable code, generated by the Enigma machine. To make a long story short, The English broke the code using the newly created first computers. Alan Turing. The Allies could now, unbeknownst to the Germans and Japanese, decipher their messages. They discovered that many Japanese boats were in Truk, which is shaped like a horseshoe. They sent bombers way way south west and bombed the entrance to Truk and then leisurely sank the rest of the boats.
Truc Lagoon is now a scuba dive destination, boats, coral, skeletons and sake bottles inside the portholes.
There is this grimly comic story in the book where Japanese Adm. Yamamoto, arguably the best mind in the Japanese military, is flying in the south Pacific and he is thinking, how can the Americans always be in the right place all the time? Midway? Gaudalcanal? Then he suddenly realizes they have must have broken the Enigma code! Just then an American fighter comes out of the sun (Allies knew where Yamamoto's plane was expected to be, too), before Yamamoto can radio anyone and shoots his plane down. True story (the mental dialog is conjecture of course).
two stories (and plot lines) in one, which reflect each other.
yeah it's too long and needs and editor, but I still think it is
Highly recommended
good, not great.......2007-09-18
It took me three tries to read this book. I stopped the first time because I really don't like books written in the present tense; it seems artificial, and does not add a sense of immediacy as is probably intended. But the story stayed with me. The second time I quit because I was put off by the author's jokey, smart-alecky attitude; I thought if he isn't serious about his characters, why should I care about them? But the story stayed with me. So I gave it one more chance. Making allowances for the previous objections, I found myself zipping through CRYPTONOMICON. It is indeed a worthy successor to GRAVITY'S RAINBOW. The WWII chapters are more interesting and more fun than the present-day parts. Now, my only real complaint is that the one half-way prominent female character undergoes a radical personality transplant during the course of the book. THAT could have been handled better. It need not be thought of as sci-fi at all. Read it as a historical novel.
A master wordsmith.......2007-09-09
I have read this book three times and purchased a new (used) copy each time. I don't currently have a copy because this book is too good not to give away. S. is a true wordsmith with a wonderful way of showing you the many intricacies (sp?) of english and causing you to think. A great thing for a book to do! It is the sort of book you wish would continue long after the final page due to your involvement with the characters. Truly engaging and a worthwhile read; once, twice or a half dozen times. For anyone who enjoys english, philosophy, laughing, mathematics, logic, or a well written book. I can't praise it enough!
Not Free SF Reader.......2007-09-03
A great, rambling novel. At times the rambling and wandering can lead to it seeming to become tedious, and sometimes the rambling is good.
Some discourse on computer systems, as three university friends are
working in different parts of the world during the war, all having
studied the same sort of cryptanalysis.
There is a lot more than that in this geeky tract, however.

What an amazing, wide ranging story. Obviously well researched, well planned out and deep. The only problem is...there's no volume 2. I've been waiting since May 1999 to see how the story ends and so far - no joy. Pick it up, but be warned, you'll be left hanging.

Cryptography Meets War Gold, the Holocaust, the Alchemical Priest Who Would Not Die, and the US Marines.......2006-06-03
This is a book of ideas disguised as a superb picaresque adventure novel -- incidentally interwoven with the loosely connected sagas of three families. Hilariously funny, outrageous, erudite, profane, and very, very, very smart. Consider:
* Corporal Bobby Shaftoe, the WW2 Marine who writes haikus and practices the "chop-socky" he learned from a Japanese soldier -- when he's not screwing women, shooting morphine, killing "Nips", or engaged in an incomprehensible effort to protect the greatest Allied military secret of the War.
* Goto Dengo, the mining engineer turned Nipponese soldier who learns to pitch baseballs from Bobby Shaftoe in exchange for teaching judo and haiku to Bobby in Shanghai, before the war. Dengo's war is complicated by jungle, atrocity, malnutrition, disease, incompetence in the Japanese Army High Command, and a crisis of conscience, culminating in a commission to build an impregnable and unfindable treasure chamber for "strategic war materials" in the wilds of the Phillipine bundoks -- on completion of which, he is ordered to kill himself and his crew.
* Lawrence Waterhouse, the musically gifted mathematician friend of Alan Turing, who flunked out of college because he was too bright -- then goes on to work on the Purple (here called "Indigo") and Enigma decryption projects and to provide mathematically motivated direction for the counterintelligence activities that protect those projects from the Axis.
* Randy Waterhouse, grandson of Lawrence, computer nerd and networking guru, who, with his old gaming buddy Avi (great-great-something-grandson of Moshe de la Cruz in Stevenson's Baroque Cycle books), starts a high-tech networking company to build a cryptographically secure, private, government-resistant, Internet data haven with a reliable and untraceable currency to support it, all aimed at (among other things) preventing future Holocausts -- and backed by a hoard of Axis war gold.
* America (Amy) Shaftoe, daughter of Douglas MacArthur Shaftoe and granddaughter of Bobby Shaftoe -- the multilingual treasure diver who captures Randy's heart.
* Enoch Root, the German/Australian Catholic missionary who begins WW2 as a covert radio listener and ends as chaplain to Bobby Shaftoe's peculiar Division 2702 on missions to "widen the bell curve" and add wierdness to the war. Strangely unaged a half-century later, Enoch introduces Randy Waterhouse to a cryptosystem called Pontifex -- and the information needed to crack the once "uncrackable" Arethusa code, which Randy discovered in a trunk in his grandfather's attic.
Plus a cast of thousands, each with their own intricate web of adventures, and each with a life that expresses a human point of view towards the realities of cryptography, computing, networking, information, money, freedom, responsibility, duty, human nature, and the Internet.
The best book I've ever read, bar none. I've read all 900-plus pages at least ten times, and it gets better each time.
A brilliant mind with an outrageous sense of humor........2004-12-24
You will marvel that a single man possesses the imagination, intelligence and humor to write this engrosing multi-generational tale of war and technophilia. You will surely find yourself reading excerpts aloud to anyone who'll listen (and they will love to listen!) Unforgettable characters, with all their faults and wonders, will embed themselves in your mind forever. Stephenson has carved himself a notch in literary history with this one.

Heart warming.......2007-03-12
This is a wonderful book. Another great series from Nora Roberts. One word of advise....you have to read Taming Natasha then switch to Luring a Lady and Convincing Alex then read Falling for Rachel to get the stories in order. Afterward, there are 2 more books related to these...Waiting for Nick (Rachel's brother-in-law) and Considering Kate (Natasha's daughter. Reflections and Dreams (Dance of Dreams in particular) is yet another related book with Nickolai Davidov from Considering Kate. Dance to the Piper as well as the O'Hurley's books connect through as well. This is quite a confusing but fun set of books.
Wonderful tale of two sisters.......2006-05-18
Nora Roberts' tale of two sisters will keep you turning the pages. Natasha and Rachel are different and unique in their thoughts, passion, and men. Readers will enjoy reading their stories.
THE MATCH IS PERFECT FOR BOTH SISTERS.......2004-07-14
TAMING NATASHA-SPENCE IS A GOOD MAN WITH A BIG HEART AND WANTS TO SHARE IT WITH NATASHA. SHE'S BEEN HURT BEFORE AND DOES NOT WANT TO RISK IT. SHE DECIDES THAT SHE NEEDS TO FACE HER FEARS HEAD ON.
FALLING FOR RACHEL-WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU HAVE TWO MEN WHO BOTH WANT YOU? ONE YOU SEE AS A CHILD AND THE OTHER YOU COULD TAKE TO BED. WHAT WILL SHE DO?
Extraordinary Book!.......2004-05-14
This is the first book that I have read in a while that has been a wonderful book, and kept me on the edge of my seat. Natasha and Rachel are two of my favorite characters in the Stanislaski saga.
Heartwarming Stories of an Immigrant Family.......2004-05-01
This book contains two full-length novels both written by Nora Roberts, and originally published in the early 90's as Silhouette Special Editions.
TAMING NATASHA: Natasha Stanislaski is one of four children born to immigrant parents, who escaped from the Ukraine into America, for a chance at a better life. Previously a ballerina for a New York Dance Company, Natasha now owns and runs a toy store in the small town where she resides in West Virginia. Spencer Kimball, widower and father to a little girl named Freddie, has just moved from New York to this same small town. Spencer is a music composer as well as the new professor at the local college. When Natasha and Spencer meet, they get off on the wrong foot, but when Natasha decides to take a college class in music history, she's surprised to find Spencer is the teacher. They embark on a relationship, but will Natasha be able to move beyond the pain of her past which still haunts her, and offer this man her heart?
FALLING FOR RACHEL: Rachel Stanislaski is the sister of Natasha from the previous story. She is an attorney with a strong sense of justice who works as a public defender in New York. Her latest case is representing nineteen-year-old Nick LeBeck, a frightened tough guy whose parents have both died. Now Nick is mixed up with a gang, and taking the rap for an interrupted burglary. Zack Muldoon is Nick's stepbrother, and the only family Nick has left. Two years ago, Zack returned after a stint in the Navy, and will now do whatever he needs to insure Nick doesn't get prison time. Nick is sentenced to a provisionary time period where he will live with Zack, while Rachel keeps contact with Nick, and reports on his behavior. The chemistry between Zack and Rachel is undeniable, but will problems with Nick keep them apart?
Both these stories were quite enjoyable, and I had not read them when they were originally published. The Stanislaskis are a very likeable and loving family, one you'd like to be a part of. There is another book called THE STANISLASKI BROTHERS, which contain the stories of Mikhail and Alexi. My favorite of the four stories would be Mikhail's from the BROTHERS book, but all of them are heartwarming, humorous and delightful.
Product Description

Book Description
Ghosts, accidental time travel, a secret clan of immortals, and Maxwell's Demon are all subjects in this complete collection of short stories by Tim Powers. Elusive and evocative, these stories are excursions into strange and dangerous worlds and are as colorful and inventive as Powers's novels. A pioneer of the popular "Steampunk" genre of speculative fiction, his complex and tightly researched "secret histories" blend with compelling fantastical elements to create some of today's most memorable modern science fiction.

A great collection, BUT a reprint........2006-07-31
If you are smart, you would read everything by Tim Powers. He is that good. But this is a reprint of an earlier collection,"Night Moves" from Subterranean Press(2001). The contents are a little differant,

"The Way Down the Hill"
"Where They Are Hid"

Ghost Stories for Adults.......2006-04-21
I loved ghost stories as a kid then as I grew up and old my tastes changed, as they should. Tim Powers is one of my favorite writers of both novels and short stories. Broadly, I describe his work as Harry Potter written by Hunter S. Thompson but it is more deeply etched than both. "Strange Itineraries" is a collection of ghost stories for me as a forty-something adult.
A fine blend of supernatural and science fiction.......2006-04-20
Tim Powers' STRANGE ITINERARIES is for any who love a touch of the supernatural in their science fiction and fantasy: here in his world ghosts are volatile powers, Ether Bunnies abound, and priests face the powers of the dead they are seeking to sanctify.
Remarkable & Bizarre.......2006-03-25
Quantum theory, time loops, alternate realities, the supernatural and one special story about a gentle old man whose pants are torn off by the side mirror of a speeding Torina are all included in this remarkable collection of short stories by Tim Powers.
Powers has the writer's skill of placing the utterly unreal into the norms of our day-to-day reality. Another great American writer, Edgar Allen Poe, used this particular skill to great effect with such stories as The Fall of the House of Usher and The Man of the Crowd. The tale begins ordinarily enough and then suddenly jumps, sometime subtly, sometimes not so, and we find ourselves bounding along to alternate realities, witnessing sad spirits in a catholic confessional or attending a strange gathering of immortals. And, incredibly, it all seems quite feasible. This is fascinating reading and extremely entertaining.
What really makes these tales stand out is their credibility, as one can perceive that their contents have been thoroughly researched. The vast majority of these stories' theme is the notion of time itself: where does it begin and does it ever end? Some of his characters are confused at the start but then later, as in the story 50 Cents, the character appears to accept their fate, that they are trapped in time, and this reality will never end, and continue to replay itself like a scratch on a CD.
In the story, Pat Moore, the character begins his day like any other, (except for a chain letter he has received, which if not passed on, could well prove unlucky), a professional gambler, sets out in his beat up Dodge, where he observes a man in a Chevrolet with a sawn-off shotgun, tries to run him off the road. An instant later he sees a woman appear next to him, who claims to be his guarding angel, when the Chevrolet crashes off the road. At first he is shocked, but as the tale unfolds, he puts together the clues, to discover it all has to do with his dead wife. The story becomes more bizarre, yet believable, finally sorting itself out in the end.
The two cleverest stories, Where They are Hid and Night Moves, on face value are outlandish, but are so well constructed, every loose end is tied up nicely, with a hint of irony, that they actually become credible.
This is Tim Powers's only collection of short stories, as he's predominately a novelist. All his novels are award winners and to a certain extent, as other writers have said, he leans towards Phillip K. Dick more than any other America writer. In fact a young Powers met an older PKD where he had nothing but praise for the younger writer.
After reading these exceptionally entertaining short stories, I hope Powers decides to write more short stories, because the one's included in Strange Itineraries are remarkable.
less is more, more or less. I'll take more and... less!.......2006-01-07
This is the first Powers in short form I've read, and I plowed through it quickly. I wanted more. I like the way Tim's mind works.
I found "The Way Down The Hill" especially dark and alluring; The nightmarish image of immortal souls freefalling through oblivion, then taking a new hand hold on life by displacing unborn souls... I loved it. It is an image forever etched into my brain. I think that's worth the price of this book alone.

Book Description
The New York Times–#1 bestselling author and psychic Sylvia Browne and her son explore the ways in which spirits, angels, and God celebrate Christmas in Heaven and how the celebrations compare to those on Earth. Questions such as Are there presents and the exchanging of gifts? Do heavenly spirits decorate? and How is Jesus honored? are discussed, as is the idea of giving gifts from the heart, like the spirits and angels in heaven do, instead of giving store-bought goods. Information is also provided on the role of religious ceremonies in heaven and how they differ from the ceremonies of the living.

I bought this book for a gift and the person I bought it for was delighted. It wasn't what either of us expected but we were certainly not disappointed. Beautifully illistrated also.
Christmas in Heaven.......2007-05-08
Finally a Christmas book with no Santa, reindeer, or Elves. The story was beautiful and the pictures were great!!!!
STUNNING!.......2007-04-07
The pictures are stunning! It makes me feel like that is what heaven feels and looks like. Makes me home sick.
Lovely, comforting and uplifting.......2007-03-02
Perfect for that "little something" gift you want to give to someone to inspire them, to send them your love at Christmas. Short and sweet, it's more like an extended Christmas card than anything else. Perfect for indigo and crystal children who absolutely love this stuff. But for many of us, it reminds us of the beauty and splendor of our "real" home, and not this nasty earth plane. Very nice. Would like to see more of these, perhaps for Valentine's Day? Easter?

After more than 60 years as a psychic and 20 years of studying angels, internationally renowned psychic Sylvia Browne presents the answers to these and other puzzling questions. Sylvia Browne's Book of Angels combines her personal experiences and extensive research with the heartwarming stories of countless contributors, and the breathtaking illustrations of Christina Simonds.

Another Perspective on Angels.......2006-09-29
I've been certified by Doreen Virtue, Ph.D., who is commonly known as the "Angel Lady". However, I really enjoyed studying Sylvia Browne's works and I was curious to read about her take on the Angels, their roles and purpose and what her perspective is.
The first aspect of this book that grabbed my attention is the incredible, amazing artwork pictured throughout the book. I cannot put into words how much these drawings speak to my heart. The artwork is produced by Christina Simmonds, and it is worth just picking up the book to see what she has created.
It was interesting reading Sylvia's experiences with Angels; I feel it provided for me as an Angel Card Reader a more well rounded background. She mentions in her book that an Angel rarely visits alone; when we ask for angelic assistance, we are surrounded by MANY angels. (I like that!) She also stresses the Angel's unconditional love for us and their incapacity to judge us as humans. I'm sure I've read this in other books, but for some reason I really got it this time!
Sylvia goes into great detail about the Ten Phyla of Angels, or ten levels of Angels, and their specialities. The book includes meditations to connect with these different levels. I found that there was so much information that I'll need to reread it over to really take it all in. The FAQ section was extremely fun because it has so many common questions answered. There's also a fun chapter in the back that includes stories of every day people interacting with the angels. I really like it when those stories are included, because it affirms that we can really connect with angels:)
Enjoy this special book with Sylvia Browne's perspective. She has so much wisdom to offer!

Very Interesting.......2006-06-27
I never really thought about angels much until my fiance told me about his reocuuring dream that he has had since he was 7 about fighting Satan with Arcangle Micheal watching over him or sometimes helping him. I thought it was strange, so I bought this book for further insight. It was pretty helpful and I just never realized how many different types of angels there are. I now feel that my fiance maybe does have an Arcangle watching out for him :) And it seems everyone has some angels watching out for them, except if you are a dark entity. Sylvia doesn't believe in Satan, but my fiance does, but that's okay. You don't have to agree with Sylvia 100%, she's been known to make a mistake here in there in her lifetime.
Angels, Angels, oh my!.......2006-05-12
This is a very revealing, informative, and heartwarming guide by Sylvia Browne on everything Angelic. Sylvia gives us a wealth of information regarding these perfect, beautiful, and loving beings created by God to help us. If you ever wanted to know what Angels are (aren't), what they do, and how to call upon them, then this is a must-have for anyone who wants to understand these wonderful beings. Sylvia also includes personal accounts from people who have been aided or guided by an Angel(s)--each one will touch your heart! The book includes some very beautiful Angel artwork by the gifted Christina Simonds whose works I am now beginning to adorn my home with.

If you have never read any of Sylvia Browne's book, don't start with this one. There is a lot of material in this book that refers back to other books.

In these chaotic times, this work makes sense of it allâoffering us reassuring messages from these beings of light who surround us each day.
Secrets & Mysteries of the World
Using a combination of information from her spirit guide Francine as well as her own incredible psychic powers, Sylvia augments current scientific research to provide us with detailed explanations about seemingly inexplicable concepts. From the Great Pyramid to Stonehenge, Sylvia reveals amazing facts about some of the world’s most mysterious sites. The truth behind sacred and controversial topics such as the Shroud of Turin, the Holy Grail, and the lost years of Jesus are also brought to light; and fascinating and mystifying subjects such as crop circles, vampires, voodoo, Atlantis, extraterrestrials, Easter Island, and many more are examined and clarified.
Sylvia tears away the obscure and timeworn explanations that hide the underlying truths about these phenomena, taking us on a fabulous journey that unlocks the secrets and mysteries that surround us in this âwonder-fullâ world.
If You Could See What I See
This enlightening book contains the Gnostic tenets of Sylvia’s church, the Society of Novus Spiritus, and is a map of our chartsâregardless of what spiritual path we follow. It has taken many years of research to put together this information, but as we go deeper, we can see that this book carries within it the very heart of humankind’s search for our own spirituality.
Sylvia has also included many details from her own personal journey, which she feels is comparable to the quest that each of us follows to find our own God-center. As we travel on this road, we can realize that long-forgotten yet inherent goal of viewing our life on Earth as our path to God.

Probably the Most Important Person In the World.......2007-09-19
There are those who may be skeptical that Sylvia Browne can talk to dead people, or that she knows the average daily temperature in Heaven (78 degrees), but did you know that she correctly predicted that AIDS would be in full remission by 1998, that Breast Cancer would be cured and prevented by 1999, that Bill Bradley would win the Presidency in 2000, that David Letterman would quit his show that same year? Well, we're now in the seventh year of the Bradley Presidency and Letterman is now frequently the subject of "where are they now" profiles on television, so that's pretty convincing to me.
Further evidence of Sylvia's powers is that Montel Williams has frequently had her as a guest on his televison show and he seems to be a smart guy. Plus people pay her $700 for a half hour phone reading. Who would pay that kind of money to a fake? I highly recommend this box set. Sylvia clearly sees things the rest of us don't, and I wouldn't be suprised if we later find out that President Bradley regularly consults her. No doubt it was Sylvia who correctly saw that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction.
