You have to read books,1&2.A nice collection to have. I'm glad that they ended the story with a true ending.
Little Black Girl Lost 1,2,3.......2007-07-31
WOW!!! I can't say this enough WOW. I have never in my wildest dreams thought that I could find a book that is captivating. I truly enjoyed these books from start to finish. I screamed out loud, laughed, cried, and was even shocked by some of the things that were happening in Johnnie's life. I would just like to congradulate Mr. J. on a fantastic journey. He has truly changed my life as a reader. This comment may sound corny, but if you haven't read these books yet you are missing out! PlEASE pick these up.. You won't regret it.
A Perfect Ending To A Wonderful Threequil.......2007-07-19
This novel is a must read. Warning...Reading the first two novels is a must to gather into the lives of Johnnie and Lucas. You will be glued to the pages with anticipation as this threequil unfolds into a dramatic ending. Keith Lee Johnson has definitely won me over as a reader by giving us, as readers, what we desire...a perfect ending. Grab a comfortable spot, because you will not be able to move once you begin reading. Great job Mr. Johnson, I am now a true fan of yours!
Great Finish.......2007-05-17
This books was great, just like the last two. I was a little surprised with some of the twists and turns but never disappointed. Mr. Johnson did a great job in tying up Johnnie's story, that young lady really "lived" her life to the fullest. I loved all three books and have recommended and passed them on to all of my friends. Great story & so different from the norm. These three books are a must have. I will definately read Johnnie's story all over again....
Fantasticcccccccccccccccccccccccc.......2007-04-11
I one word, EXCELLENT. Get 1 and 2 so you can see how this young lady went from rags to riches the hard way. Mr. Johnson has a winner.
Book Description
After his blockbuster success of Little Black Girl Lost, Keith Lee Johnson takes us back to 1950's New Orleans, into the world of betrayal, envy, lust, and murder, where everyone has ulterior motives. Little Girl Lost left you in shock right up to the very end with its revealing truths of the world of Johnnie Wise, a 15-year-old girl, who was being pursued by ruthless crime boss, Napoleon Bentley, who will stop at nothing to have this young beauty.
Little Black Girl Lost II, begins as we find Johnnie in bed, and even though there is a thunderstorm directly over her Ashland Estates home, she is sleeping soundly for the first time since the murder of Richard Goode (her mother's killer), and the subsequent riots. However, during her waking hours, Napoleon Bentley enters her mind more often than she'd care to admit. She wants him to bed her again, but she loves Lucas Matthews, her boyfriend. Or is he?

A Wonderful Sequil.......2007-06-06
Before reading this book, it is important to read Little Black Girl Lost (1). Johhnie Wise has gotten wiser and is making her life hers. Continue the journey with her as Keith Lee Johnson captivates you with the ongoing trials of this young lady. The additional characters are a plus to this book. Caution....don't start without having Little Black Girl Lost 3 at your fingertips.
readaholic .......2007-04-03
Little Black Girl lost 2 was more inspiring and easier to follow after getting to know the characters in the first novel. It was inspiring to know the residents of Ashland Estates, but they too were trapped in a fable.
The novel was very well written and straight to the point. I really enjoyed it. I also like the fact that the author came out of the writing box and just wrote the story. I am not a fan of fluff.
LOVE ITT.....2........2007-03-24

Customer Reviews:
Interesting .......2007-08-16
This book was very interesting, I finished it in two days! I just have one question, what happened to Earl? After the riot his business had to pay out for all the insurance claims and eventhough his wife paid Johnnie to stay away from her husband; could Earl live without seeing Johnnie? I can't wait to read the sequel!
Captures 1950's New Oreleans.......2007-08-11
This book, which takes place in 1950's New Orleans, is a real page turner. It keeps you wanting to know what happens next. Be warned, however, there is a lot of R-rated situations and descriptions in this book.
Wonderful Start of a Beautiful Series.......2007-06-06
I have to admit this has to be one of the best of the beginning of a series I have ever read. The title has nothing on the actual contents of the book. Take a journey with Johnnie Wise and all the other characters of this touching series. Keith Lee Johnson will keep you captivated on the book until the last word is read. Caution....don't start without having Little Black Girl Lost 2 and Little Black Girl Lost 3 at your fingertips.
Not what I thought...........2007-05-09
101 people before me have already told you "about" this novel so I'll keep mine short. This book was just ok for me, but ok enough for me to want to read #2 to find out what happens. Maybe (I hope) it's better than this one.
readaholic.......2007-04-03
I enjoyed this novel. Although Johnny may have had more opportunities I believe that it was hard for her to find them. It feels like you're doomed when the one person in your life whom you believe you can depend on lets you down when you're an adult. I can only imagine what Johnny felt like when it happened to her. This along with what was going on in those times made it hard for many people to see the truth. Johnny is not out of the ordinary. I have to give her props for doing the best she knew how at such a young age.

Book Description
In this shocking novel of a young girl alone on the streets, Goines delves into yet another facet of the ghetto experience- the dark, despair-ridden world of a black girl's soul! Sandra took to the streets when she was eight years old and tried to fight off the hunger pangs by shoplifting, moving into the profits of drug pushing. Then she met Chink and discovered love and affection.... and rape and murder.

The Father of it all.......2006-08-05
Donald Goines hits the nail on the head with this book. I was reluctant to read it because it is so old. I thought the language would be so hard to follow but it wasn't at all. The story of Sandy and Chink is incredible. I was desperately rooting for them to be together in the end. I loved it! Those are the only words to describe how much I enjoyed reading his work. I am a fan now and will be going to purchase the entire collection. I truly see why he is called the best. If you dont have it, which I'm sure you already do, go get it because you are missing out.
BEST EVER!.......2006-06-15
My sister brought this book home from a friend when she was in high school...when she began to read it, she was wrapped up in it and read it in two days! I had to know what the fuss was about so I read it also...this book was so compelling and a fast read- everything is happening so fast in this young girl's life you get caught up in it with her! I definitely recommend this! yound and old!
A Must Read!.......2006-01-11
This book was excellent, the whole tone of the book was very sad, but that's what made the book. Sandra was a fighter and so was her man, Chink. They only had each other, and they stuck by each other to the very end! Literally! He wanted to die in his baby's arms, and she never left his side. Sadly, this reflects the lives of black youths everywhere. Get this book, it is well worth the money.
Donald Goines is superb, and this was actually one of the first books I've read by him, and I can easily see him becoming one of my favorite.
Black Girl Lost.......2005-07-21
Black Girl Lost is a story about a young girl named Sandra. Sandra's mother name is Sandra but people call her Sandie to seperate there names. Sandie is a drunk and she doesn't take care of her daughter. Sandra basicly raised herself, feed herself, and dressed herself. Sandra got her food and clothes by stealing them. Until Sandra was thirteen and she was offered a job and then she stop stealing. Sandra starting dating a boy name Chink and they were living together. Chink sold drugs to take care of Sandra and him.
I recommand people to read the book Black Girl Lost because it is a very good book. And people also don't realize what they have. People need to remember that there is always somebody in a worst situation then you. I think that if others read this book they will have a much better understanding of life
black girl lost review.......2005-06-30
I think this book was really good because it talks about tipical life as a black child growing in the ghetto with a alcholoc mother and a dead beat father. overall the book is good and i recommend anybody to read it.

Book Description
The Ghost of Tara has disappeared. At first Willow thought it was because of something she'd done -- or worse, that the universe was again conspiring to hurt her. But it's almost impossible to keep secrets from a witch, especially one as powerful as Willow, and ultimately she learns that Buffy and the gang are the culprits.
Willow desperately wants Tara back. Not only does she miss her immensely, the spirit's presence is necessary to perform the resurrection spell Willow's been working on. Though her first impulse is to charge off and bring her wrath down upon the heads of her old friends, her coven reminds her that in the past, when Willow has allowed anger to control her, she has failed. Willow must develop an alternate plan to regain Tara's spirit and perform the spell.
Buffy and the Scoobies hope to drain Willow's power, and release Spike and Oz from their enslavement. But Willow's anger is endless, and it seems she'll stop at nothing in her fight to bring Tara back, no matter what the cost....
Customer Reviews:
Not the best, But certainly not the worst Buffy book.......2004-12-08
Okay, now I am a huge fan of Buffy books (since the series ended I have to get my Buffy somehow) Before I bought the series, I read some of the reviews. Most of them were talking about how bad the book was, but I decided to give it a try.
WARNING: Spoilers ahead!
I'm going to start with the bad points:
The charcters of Buffy, Willow, Xander, Ghost of Tara, and Dawn are not very well written. Part of why Buffy is so great is that the language is so well written, but these 5 are not the same. Another bad point is that Dark Willow doesn't seem as evil as she was in the end of season 6. She seemed pissed off at the world instead of wanting to destroy it. Also she needed to capture all these women to give her more power. It seemed she was pretty unstopable in the show. But in the book she seemed to need to drain these witches of power just to fight the Scoobies. Finally, and probably the worst part, is that she kept summoning Demons to fight the Scoobies instead of doing it herself. That was a big Disappiontment.
But in light of all that, Here are the Many good parts:
I love the fact that Willow was haunted by The ghost of Tara. It was smart of Yvonne to do that to help give Willow some guidance in her darkest days. Dispite the 5 badly written charcters, Giles is great in this book. You can really feel his sense of conflict when Willow breaks his back, putting him in a wheelchair. You can relate to him and it brough a sense of 'this is an alternate reality. Willow could actually kill them'. Anya and Dawn really shine in this book. If you're a fan of these 2, this book is deffinetly for you. Most people don't do much with Anya and Dawn because "they're just two human girls right?' WRONG You've got a 1120 year old Vegence Demon and a girl that hold the Key to destroying the universe in her blood. Yvonne really bring the two of them into the mix and has them fight alongside Buffy, Xander, and later Giles when he regains use of his legs. (I was very happy because I love Anya!)
Overall, the good outwieghts the bad. This trilogy is worth the buy If you love DarkWillow, Anya, Dawn, and Giles. If you don't like it at first, just give it some time. By the end you will be glad you bought it.
willow has had enough.......2004-11-18
at first willow is distraught that the ghost of tara has left her becasue she thinks that she is the cause. but when she finds out that the scooby gang is responsible, her wrath knows no bounds. the evil plan that she sets into motion for revenge makes the monster of the first 2 books pale in comparison.
most people did not like this series. this last book was quite interesting, had more deph and a better monster for willow to release.
Get A Life Navarro Haters!!!!!!!.......2004-10-16
While I haven't finished reading the third installment of the Wicked Willow trilogy let me just say that I have read other books by Yvonne Navarro and for those of you who have trashed her Btvs Wicked Willow trilogy let me just say...."Back the heck off!!!!" This women is a fantastic writer and her trilogy so far has kept me up well into the early morning hours. It is an alternate universe story that is absolutely what I was looking for. Some say that if you want a real good alternate universe story to check the fan fiction websites. Well I have read some of them and don't get me started about how horrible some of them are. Navarro haters should really check out a couple of her earlier books. The two that come to mind are Afterage and Deadrush. Both are excellent. This is my first review and it probably isn't like the normal reviews but I just had to defend what is probably one of the best authors around. Keep up the good work Yvonne. The Wicked Willow Trilogy is awesome so far and I hope to see a second book regarding Afterage real soon. I am and always will be a Navarro fan till the end!
I thought it was a good book to read.......2004-10-09
I liked it though I do not think that every one will I have read a lot better I just hope they continue to publish BVtS books they are the very good and now since the show has gone into tv history they are the only way to get a fresh Buffy.
Damaged Goods.......2004-09-28
This has been a hither and thither series. Based on the interesting premise that, rather than go into a near terminal depression after Tara's death, Willow decides to turn to the dark side to resurrect her dead lover. That this is impossible is besides the point, Willow is determined, and will stop at nothing - Neither Buffy, nor Giles, nor all the hauntings of Tara can stay her from the course. This is a new, daring and, to be honest, extremely understandable Willow. One whom, until this volume, was still a sympathetic character.
But now Giles has managed to imprison Tara. When she finds this out Willow sets about a uniquely horrible revenge as one by one she feeds her ex-friends to a Gnarl, who likes to eat his meals slowly while alive. In the process of this Navarro achieves what no Buffy writer has every accomplished before - a genuine horror story. Unfortunately, in the process, the author throws away an opportunity to say something unique in the Buffy framework Instead we wind up with a grim story in which no character shines, one that proceeds inexorably to an embarrassingly trite ending.
On Navarro's website she pointedly fixed the blame for the faults of this book on her publishers. Admittedly, the Buffy annals are more tightly controlled than almost any other series, but regardless of whose fault it is, Broken Sunrise is a poor way to end the Wicked Willow series. The writing is stilted, and the characters... Well, Anya makes a poor showing, Buffy is permanently perplexed, and Giles makes one terrible mistake after another. Tara, by the way, makes a very substandard ghost.
The strange thing is that Yvonne Navarro is one of the better writers to grace the Buffyverse. To have her suddenly turn out a series that is underwritten for an adult series and a bit to grim for the yound adult crowd is more than disappointing. If it was 20th Century Fox who set the rules, Navarro would have been better off to decline the offer. Or to write what she is really capable of and devil take the hindmost.

Book Description
Conscious Breathing draws on more than twenty years of research and practice to present a simple yet comprehensive program that can be used every day to improve energy, mental clarity, and physical health. As the essential life-force of the body, the breath influences how we feel on every level. But many traditional breathing programs are limited by esoteric or cultlike elements. Pioneering therapist Gay Hendricks has refined the most important practices into a mainstream healing tool that can provide dramatic benefits--ranging from lowered blood pressure and pain reduction to elimination of depression and anxiety--in as little as ten minutes a day. At the core of the book are eight key breathing exercises, fully illustrated, with step-by-step instructions, plus the "short form" ten-minute breathing program. Additional chapters provide breathing techniques for special concerns, including: Breathing to aid in trauma release and recovery from addictions. Treatment of asthma and other respiratory problems. Enhancement of sex and communication between couples. Improved concentration and stamina in sports.
Customer Reviews:
Using this book in my yoga classes.......2006-11-04
The author speaks from years of experience teaching people how to lower their stress and improve their health by learning how to breathe correctly. Very readable with clear instructions for the exercises. I'm using it with my yoga students. It's been life transforming.
I Agree with the "fluff" reviews.......2006-05-17
I agree with the reviewers who gave low marks....
This book is empty. Very little content, very little substance.
Of course, if it's the first time you ever heard of conscious breathing or tried it, it will definitely do some good (which explains the positive reviews, if indeed they are from real readers and not the author).
Any small effort in conscious breathing will help people remove stress and feel better, so yes, this disappointing book may have some merit.
I'm looking for a better book on the subject, any recommendations?
I get the feeling the author wrote these reviews........2003-11-10
Suggestions if you want to waste your money on this book.
1. Skip pages 1 -60 useless, boring, information about the author.
2. Read only areas that are in bold. These are the exercises.
3. Skip all the filler. It is about the author lending no interest, content, inspiration, etc. to the book.
4. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. THIS APPEARS TO BE NOTHING BUT A PRODUCTION AUTHOR WHO CRANKS THESE THINGS OUT EVERY FEW MONTHS. Its as if he wrote the whole thing in a day. The exercises are just rehashed from other people's books and videos.
Gentle Reminder and Useful Text for Years.......2003-07-30
The exercises in this book have been beneficial during stressful times for years ... and included is a great 10-minute sequence of three exercises for daily preventive maintenance and self care. The commentary is helpful, not fluff at all, the instructions are easy to follow, and the illustrations of people doing the exercises are very clear. For a more advanced book on the breath, you might also want to take a look at The Tao of Natural Breathing by Dennis Lewis.
Awesome Book if you really really Want to Release Stress.......2003-05-29
This book is well thought out and well written with chock full of useful techniques to use to de-stress. The book even contains diagrams so that you can see exactly how to breathe correctly using Hendrick's technique. I took this book out at the library to check it out but now I'm going to buy it definitely. It's something I want to have around all the time so I can remind myself of the breathing I want to be doing. It really helped relax my entire body physically and mentally. I recommend it highly.
