Prompt gamma activation analysis (PGAA) is a unique, non-destructive nuclear analytical method with multi-element capabilities. Book Description
The application of intelligent imaging techniques to industrial vision problems is an evolving aspect of current machine vision research. Machine vision is a relatively new technology, more concerned with systems engineering than with computer science, and with much to offer the manufacturing industry in terms of improving efficiency, safety and product quality. Beginning with an introductory chapter on the basic concepts, the authors develop these ideas to describe intelligent imaging techniques for use in a new generation of industrial imaging systems. Sections cover the application of AI languages such as Prolog, the use of multi-media interfaces and multi-processor systems, external device control, and colour recognition. The text concludes with a discussion of several case studies that illustrate how intelligent machine vision techniques can be used in industrial applications.

A really "hands on" book. Covers such diverse issues as algorithms, handling hardware, lighting, interfaces, etc.
WHAT I LIKED THE MOST ABOUT THE BOOK:
- Includes practical tips and checklists.
- Lots of code lists, blueprints and the like.
- Practical and implementation concerns from start to end.
- Nice motivating introduction.
WHAT I DONT LIKE ABOUT THE BOOK:
- Includes a couple naive theoretical issues (useless)
- It's too much specific to Prolog+ programming language, though this is a high-level, easy to grasp language.
OVERALL: A VERY GOOD book for those who are familiar with Computer Vision (academic) and are trying to understand the problems of Machine Vision (engineering), written by someone who obviously understands both worlds deeply.

I couldn't put the book down, this was one book that I have to say is worth the read. All the characters are well written and the story is full things that you can't wait to find out about. This is my first book by this author, and I am going to continue to read more.
The worst thing about Jackie Collin's books..........2007-06-18
The worst thing I can think of to say about Jackie Collin's books...They end. I am always left wanting more and this book was no exception. I find her books a great escape and then get mad because I have read them too fast and before I know it I am done with the book.

Number 1 Jackie Collins' Fan.......2007-05-19
As always, Jackie Collins has done it again. I thought this book was outstanding, not as good as the Lucky/Gino books, but still written very well. I love the way Jackie introduces her characters and always giving you something to look forward to reading. I really enjoyed Liberty's character. I especially would like for Jackie to keep the characters of Liberty, Jet, and Chris going in future books. This is a book very worth the time you will spend on it. I read it is in less than a week.
