Incised river channels are ubiquitous features of landscapes disturbed by environmental change. Problems associated with channel incision include undermining of structures, downstream sedimentation, severe bank erosion and widening, and degradation of aquatic and riparian habitats. The book gives an explanation of the new effects caused by inhomogeneities, and also contains analysis of more basic semiconductor parameters, such as carrier concentration and mobility, in the presence of inhomogeneities. Many different types of semiconductors are covered, including compensated, irradiated and polycrystalline, and the theory is supported by experimental results, rather than extensive, mathematical formulae.
This volume considers the presence of inhomogeneities in many types of semiconductors, and the effect these have on various properties, including conductivity, luminescence, and galvanomagnetic effects.

Absolutely beautiful!!! I love all her book's.I think that the BettyLou Phillips book's are the very best of French design out there.I love the history she writes on the French royalty and all the scrumptious pages of beauty, page after page.I always look forward to the next book release.

Her first couple of books were very good. Her last 2 to 3 books (including this one),she talks alot about the french people. She goes into the history of Madame de Pompadour, Marie Antoinette and Louis XVI and very little about decorating. She compares Americans and French people. Quite boring actually.

Well, I read this book at the age of 15, when it was first published in 1969. I loved it. Tho frankly I'd have to read it again to do any kind of real review.

"As a result of his second tour in Vietnam Robin Moore became concerned about the wide spread use among soldiers of narcotics, particularly opium and its derivative, heroin. He contacted friends in the New York Police Department and discovered what he would later call 'The French Connection Case', a French syndicate smuggling heroin into New York. In 1969 his nonfiction account of the case, The French Connection, was published and in 1973 the movie won 5 Academy Awards."

Some of the best recounting of the contentious relationship between Hemingway and Fitzgerald out there. Chapter 2 -- Fitzgerald's Blue Pencil -- is priceless.
