This is just the kind of Calculus textbook for business students. It is clearly explained and illustrated with many examples. There are many application exapmles with worked solutions and plenty of exercises to practise.
I used to hate calculus until I got my hands on this book. Its a piece of good work for maths idiots like me!

This book has historical context; The Wife's prologue and tale; New Historicism Criticism regarding The Wife; Marxism and Psychoanalytic Criticism; and Deconstruction and Feminist Criticism. For anyone doing a paper, class, or any type of study regarding The Wife of Bath, this is an excellent book to have. It is easy to read and understand. You get to view the Wife of Bath from 5 different critical perspectives and each chapter ends with a Works Cited page which is an excellent reference for further research.

I recommend this book to anybody interested in Sir Geoffrey Chaucer's Wife of Bath or the Canterbury Tales. The essays and articles are insightful, well-written, and extremely thought provoking. If you are a fan or a student studying the Canterbury Tales and you need to read more about the Wife of Bath, this is the book for you. I love the style and design of the book. It is well structured and organized. No other book out there covers the Wife of Bath like this book.

Beilder takes a whirlwind review of the world of Chaucer criticism. In his introduction, Beidler shows the reader the many levels of thought that are still occuring about Chaucer to this very day.

This is a wonderful book that gives the reader a feel for all social levels during the medieval times. I especially enjoyed The Wife of Bath's Tale. I recommend this book to anyone. It is interesting while being entertaining at the same time.
Very Insightful Piece of Literature!!!.......1999-04-05
Chaucer has given me a greater insight into life in the 14th century. We see the hypocrisy of the "genteel" people of the time. He has also transcended the boundaries of time for we can still see evidence of this hypocrisy in todays society. The Wife is a strong female character and the reader can not be certain if she is feminist or anti-feminist nor can they be certain if Chaucer is laughing at her or with her. This was a very crafty device by Chaucer's and he must be commended for it. This device is shown in how long Chaucer allows the Wife to speak about herself, it is the longest prologue in the book except of course for the General Prologue. The Wife's views and issues can also be seen in her choice of tale but her voice seems somewhat more subdued here and we can distinctly see Chaucer's own views and ideas coming out in the tale.The very poetic style in which it is written also intices the reader to read on. Altogether quite an insightful piece of literature.

One of Chaucer's most popular and complex characters, the Wife of Bath has inspired a rich and diverse range of published scholarship. This work is the latest in the University of Toronto Press's Chaucer Bibliographies series, a series which aims to provide annotated bibliographies for all of Chaucer's works, and summarizes twentieth-century commentary on the Chaucer's Wife of Bath's Prologue and Tale. There are six sections to the bibliography, with items arranged chronologically in each section: editions and translations, sources and analogues, the marriage group, gentillesse or nobility, the General Prologue, the Wife of Bath's Prologue and the actual Tale.
The editors have assembled a comprehensive bibliography covering not only standard English literature, medieval studies, and Chaucerian studies sources, but also less well-known references and items published in languages other than English. Developments in Chaucer criticism are traced and grouped thematically, a particular benefit for those approaching Chaucerian studies for the first time.

The Wife of Bath's Prologue on CD-ROM is the initial release in The Canterbury Tales Project from Cambridge. The CD-ROM presents transcriptions, collations and digitized images of all fifty-eight pre-1500 manuscript and print versions of Geoffrey Chaucer's famous poem. It provides on a single disk the material that Chaucer scholars have until now had to travel around the world to view in different libraries. The software allows sophisticated searches of all the manuscripts of The Wife of Bath's Prologue simultaneously, giving scholars rapid access to a large archive of information of a kind never before realized. System Requirements: All CD products (with the exception of The Works of John Ruskin) run identically on PC Windows or Macintosh systems. We recommend the following equipment: PC: 386 or later; Windows 3.1+; 8 Mb of RAM; double-speed CD-ROM drive. Macintosh: System 7 or later; 4 Mb of RAM; double speed CD-ROM drive. The Works of John Ruskin runs only on a PC. We recommend the following specification: 80486-based PC; Windows 3.1+; 4 Mb of RAM (8 Mb preferred); SVGA color monitor; 10 Mb of free hard-disk space; double-speed CD-ROM drive. These products can be presented via a server, but because of technical limitations, it will not always be practical for more than one user at a time to be accessing the data.
